Zumba for seniors

Postby avalen » Sat Nov 17, 2012 10:16 pm

I've heard good stuff about this zumba thing, so of course I had to google it (as I do anything I know nothing about :P )
I've decided I really like this Grandma Shelly person and I'm gonna check the senior center and see if they have any
zumba classes I can get into over christmas break. I feel it could really be beneficial to keeping my bones strong and
my joints fluid.
Any of you girls done the zumba?
If you google zumba for seniors there are lots of you tube videos and such but for some reason Grandma Shelly caught
my attention....

I could see us doing this at a gtg.

Sharon had a zumba class at the Arkansas gtg a few years back. And I think it's been continued at other gtgs I haven't been to. So you have lots of forum sisters who have been doing zumba. I should but haven't.

I think this would be fun. And yes, it would be great to start the day with Zumba Gold each morning at a GTG. :D

Looked at the website. Why is it called Zumba for seniors? Is the format different or is there an age requirement? I've done it and had a great time. You do as much as you can. Didn't notice anyone caring about the others. I especially loved watching the young guys  Sharon, how have I missed yours?? Come on down to FL and give us a good workout. carold

Zumba for seniors ....I would assume that means your not moving around as fast paced as the younger more energetic crowd. Back in the day..
I could do aerobics and jazzercise for hours but not now, and its all pretty much the same, new age and new term for great exercise.

Sharon gave up on us last year because we wanted to do it nightgowns with coffee cups in our hands!
