Poor Buddy. If only they could talk to us before things get so far. Meantime, here's hoping Buddy makes a full recovery; is able to get the teeth removed and come home to you for a long time to come.

Thanks for the update Carolyn and Margie. I do hope Buddy is much better by the time you see him in the morning.

Thanks for the update......it is so hard for the older guys and bad teeth can poison the whole system....IVs are best for now. Let us know more in the morning....

Buddy got to come home at 11:00 a.m. He showed some improvement. He has to eat some special food 4 times a day and a little water. The goal is for him to keep food and water in, not out. Don't want him to become dehydrrated. He'll take antibiotics for 14 days, then he will have new blood work to see if he has recovered in order to pull his teeth. He is now able to hike his leg instead of squatting. He is much more alert as well. I think he is going to be OK. The food he eats seems like a real treat for him - nice to see him eating again. Maybe we can get him back up to 3.2 lbs.

Roger is doing much better now that his little Buddy is back home. Today they took their daily nap together - everything was right with their little world.

Thanks for all the concern and prayers for Buddy.
