Bandera Volcano and Ice Cave (New Mexico)

Postby MrsHomeSweetRoam » Tue Nov 13, 2012 2:49 am

Some things I noted:
Wear closed in shoes or you'll be miserable. My husband spent a fair amount of time retrieving lava rock from the openings in his shoes.
If you are bringing a stroller and it doesn't have big off road type tires, you'll have a bad time. If you try and get stuff over and over, try turning your stroller backwards (especially if your front tires swivel but the back tires dont). I had helped a stranded young couple who were tired, overheated and stuck with their stroller. The stairs down to the Ice Cave are very steep!

It's a fun little stop and photos do not do it justice- here's a few:

I keep getting an error, won't let me post anymore... I either broke something or maybe I got put in the corner for posting too much!  :?
