THANK YOU!!!! I really appreciate all the good wishes!
It actually was a pretty dang good birthday!
This is the first that I have been on the laptop since Thursday morning and wasn't really on that long Thursday morning.
Kelly and I went up to David's, so got to spend family time together!! Kelly, David, g-son Connor went out for pizza on the 8th, I think all of us were hungry for dinner at Pizza Inn, which is a pizza buffet. Little Connor at the age of 3 ate a massive salad! I've never seen a kid eat salad like that!
The order of the b-day was no gifts. Well Kelly disobeyed and bought me the new Tinker Bell video,"The Secret of the Wings". We watched it and I loved it! The kids usually vie to see who gets the ? best card. Kelly won this year!
But both cards were beautiful and loving. On Friday which was one of David's days off he took us out for a pasta dinner. For whatever reason I have been craving an Italian dinner. OMG!!! The little restaurant he took us to served awesome food and it's run by a Greek husband and a Italian wife. And I do mean Italian too! We heard some shouting out in the kitchen and David's eyes got really big and he burst out laughing!!! He spent over a year in Vicenza Italy while in the service and tho he doesn't speak the language well he can understand and make himself understood! I am not gonna repeat what he said was being said out in the kitchen!! It wasn't vulgar but we will leave it at that?
But we all got to laughing. The waitress came over and remarked that he must be having a really good time. David smiled and asked her if she could take a message out to the kitchen, she agreed. David spoke in Italian and made sure she understood the words, she then went to the kitchen. After a couple of moments the owner came out and thanked David for the compliment and told us how glad she was that we had enjoyed the meal. I have to mention that she seemed a little pink in the cheeks as she spoke to David in Italian and he did his best to speak Italian back to her. David and she ended up grinning to each other big time. She patted his cheek and went back into the kitchen!!! We had already gotten the check and were just sitting there relaxing and rubbing our bellies when the waitress brought out 5 free desserts. Mine had a candle in it!
All in all it was a thoroughly wonderful evening!!!
While Kelly and I were up there we also celebrated Connor's B-day too. He turned 3 on Oct 29th. We gave him 3 animated videos that we had, a auto wind-up car, a mini Etch-a-Sketch, (u use a little stylus type thing to draw on it) and a GI Joe type gift pack with a machine gun, plastic grenade, binoculars and canteen. He went crazy! He drew picture after picture and David had bought a soldier costume for Halloween for him so he had to put that on and play!! Kelly and I had to be really careful what we spent on toys and I thing we did a good job as what we did spend was only $25 and Connor really loved the GI Joe stuff and the etch a sketch thing!
I also got a ton of B-day wishes from a lot of friends on Facebook. I tried to go thru all of them and click "like" on all the posted wishes, I tried hard to find them all and hope that I didn't leave any one out. I about wore out my clicker finger an my mouse button!!!
For those that didn't? Well maybe they had a good thought for me but just didn't bother posting anywhere? Or at least I can pretend at any rate!!
I feel really good about my B-day and all the friends and Sistahs I have made online. All and I do mean ALL of you are fantastic!!!
OK, now it's time to quit here and make some lunch!
Love to all
