It's Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Friday!

Postby Colliemom » Fri Nov 09, 2012 7:16 am

Good Morning from the 45th,

Okay, so where are the early birds this morning? Guess this must be sleep in day. I woke up a bit after 5 but really didn't want to get up. But that was enough to stir Ms Tessa out of bed and time to go out. So I got up and put them both out, when they came in, gave them their pills. went back to bed, laid there for awhile and said to heck with it. So my day got an early start.

Poached eggs and bacon with a bowl of strawberries already in the tummy. There's enough around here for you late risers to get some breakfast, but better hurry before it's lunch time

Took a "sample" from Ms Tessa to the vet yesterday and she's holding her own. No more checks for a month now. But he said it's going to be time to start talking about diet for dogs with kidney disease. Been doing some research on the subject. Finding out some things. But posted this toic in "Pets" and would appreciate it if any of you who have had or have dogs with kidney disease, would chime in with your experiences in the food dept. Didn't want to start this conversation in this thread. This is for morning coffee talk about this and that.

Gym day today. Otherwise not much going on today. Did take the "girls" for a ride to Houghton Lake with me yesterday and went to a craft store down there to get some small wood craft cut outs for my sign projects i want to start working on. Stopped for lunch and then we stopped and walked through a State Forest campground so they could do their thing and sniff around. It's closed for the season. They always enjoy those trips.

Also laid out my holiday plans yesterday. Thanksgiving I am going to jsut stay home here and then two weeks after that I am heading back up to the U.P. and will stay there until after the new year in January. So while everybody else heads south or wishes they were, I am heading north :) .

Right now I am heading for the laundry sink and wash my hair, get it dried and get my self in gear for the day. Hope you all have a nice day today whatever it brings. Also hoping that Joan is doing okay from her surgery and we hear before long.

Morning Sue and all to come.

Woke up at my normal 5:45. Took the dogs out and then had to make coffee. Mom is up and stirring around. Time to go get her bedroom converted back to the livingroom. I finally got her tapestry I embroidered for her last Christmas hung up yesterday in the livingroom/bedroom. It has been rolled up for so many months, it still curls a little. It will straighten back up over time. Little by little, we are making this home.

Boot camp starts at 2:00 this afternoon and goes until 7:30 or later. Beginning tomorrow, we start at 7:00 and go until 7:30 or later each evening. Lots to learn. Will try to get pictures as we go.

Red and Tyler were out walking when I had the dogs in the pen earlier. They get up early too. I need to get a load of laundry done this morning before Boot Camp starts. Going to go get a cup of coffee and get to moving.

Everyone have a great day today and if you are traveling, stay safe.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

The day has dawned cloudless, cool, and beautiful here in the Savannah South KOA. The ducks, swans, and geese against the rising sun and mist off the pond here have made for some beautiful pictures which I will try to get onto Photo Bucket when I have a chance.

Today we will try to make the last leg of the trip to St. Cloud. If the traffic will allow it, we should have no problem getting there by late afternoon/evening.

Hoping Joan will be healthy and feeling better after whatever she is having done----I will catch up on posts when I get settled in FL.

Now we are off to a free pancake breakfast with coffee, and then onto the road!

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's going on in your world. Happy trails!

Good morning Everyone !!
Its been awhile since I have been in for coffee, have been dealing with a back issue, that was scary but now getting much better. In fact, Maggie and I, are getting our ducks in a row around here to leave for our usuall Thanksgiving over in W. Tn. Ran the last of the serious errands yesterday, came home and leveled Thor and put the slide out and now to make sure we have what we need for our winter sojourns, and nothing that will just take up space. I always find something I don't need though, no matter how much I try  Its really getting cold here, time to move south :D Hoping not to be back up here until latter part of March. Front deck had ice on it and could hear heater in RV going, next Thurs. might not get here soon enough :D

Leaving Thurs. and will go by area where I get Thor serviced. You get in line early morning, so will stay in CG close by overnight and get there early and hopefully will make it to my destination Fri. eve.

I've been looking for word about Joan, I'm sure she isn't up to letting us know anything but was hoping daughter might let us know .

Soos, so happy you have a traveling companion and that you are getting warmer each day. See you in Jan.

Time to get moving, big news from here is getting ready for our trip, and thats been said, now to work on it.

Dawn, I'm excited to hear about your boot camp experience and hoping you will pass on some of your new knowledge. I enjoy your blog, nice job.

Take care all, those ill, get well soon, on the road, Stay Safe,
You all have a Great Day !!

Good morning Sue, Dawn, Karen, Soos, Carol & everyone!

Sue, I hope to meet up with you in the U.P. sometime, but it'll be during the warmer months of summer. I don't handle cold well.

Dawn, I hope the Boot Camp is everything you were expecting and can't wait to hear what goes on there.

Karen, I hope your shopping trip for the camper goes well. After a couple trips, you'll know what is missing or if you have everything you need.

Soos, it's great to know you'll be in St. Cloud later today. I'm glad you've had good weather for this trip.

Carol, I hope your back is ok. I'm looking forward to seeing you in FL in a few months.

We spent the night in our house last night for the first time since the flood. We still have a long way to go and there's still lots of cleaning to do, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today I'm going to take all the plastic containers I use for leftovers and wash them and scrub that cupboard. Yesterday I washed all our pots and pans and scrubbed the cupboard they live in. Some things got tossed and the things I wanted to keep but almost never use are in the attic. We're still waiting for the area rugs in the livingroom, diningroom and glassed in porch to dry. The cushions for the porch wicker furniture are outside drying. They may make it back into the house today.

I hope Joan can post soon to let us know how she is doing and I hope everyone else is doing well.

Morning! I'm working this Friday so that I can get a start on my camping next Friday.

I hope Joan's daughter posts soon... starting to worry a little.

Sue - I'm really thinking of adding a week to my trip north next year to spend at least a little time on the UP.

Dawn and Red and Ellen - enjoy the boot camp! Sounds like they will be keeping you busy! Ellen - sounds like even if I drove up for dinner Saturday night, you wouldn't be done for the day until late.

I'm back home after a long long day yesterday, 492 miles with the last hundred in wicked wind. I should have stayed in Indio, and that was the plan, but when I dropped down Indio hill and there wasn't much wind I turned into a "barn horse" and galloped for home. Ended up getting home after dark, battery was dead on the car and couldn't unhook it until I got that charged enough to get the transfer case out of neutral, it was sprinkling, windy and cold and boy was I kicking my own arze for not stopping! Needless to say, the fur kids and I are camping in the driveway until I can get the hot water heater lit for the house. Really, there's no reason to even move back into the house since I'm leaving again on Friday for the sand dunes for Thanksgiving week and I would just have to move back into Hope. Boy, does that house look big after 4 months in Hope!! LOL! Dusty, too. sigh. Kind of wishing I was back in Huachuca City, Az, it was nice and warm there!

Hope turned over 60,000 miles on the way yesterday, and my butt felt every one of them last nite. :D OK, off to check stuff out and see if the battery is still up on the jeep. As soon as I get back the whole deal gets to go down to my RV guy and he's going to explain to me exactly why the work he did isn't working!! And he may get a taste of what 5' 3" of PO'd woman looks like!

Good Morning to All - Yes it is still morning here in Kino. And a warm sticky one it is. Took the blanket off the bed this a.m. and put it in storage until we get back north in March. Posted a bolg about the new section of Kino - later will post about the old, real Kino. We are going to stay here until Monday morning - Pretty much doing nothing - but I want to watch the races this weekend and this is the last time we'll have TV.
Need to "submit" this before I loose connection
Enjoy the boot camp - sounds like a great deal - better than the way we learned - trial and error.

Sharon, glad you made it home. You sound like me when I'm headed home. I try to get off the road before dark except when I'm headed home. I know they have to take me in. I got to Pat's about 5:30, threw all her stuff out and headed for home. I was kicking myself for a while for not spending the night. I drove for an hour at 40 mph until I got out of the woods. I'm always afraid I will hit a deer. I drove about 485 miles. I don't think my back could have taken another night on the sofa. I need to see about getting a better memory foam topper. Can't wait until next summer when you head this way again.

Woke up sneezing and my nose running. My darn son probably gave me what he has. He calls me this morning because his girl friend is sick and wants him to make her a doctor's appointment. He is going to school and doesn't have time to be doing that. I told him to tell her to put on her big girl panties and call the doctor herself. He has been so irresponsible for so long and now he is having to see about someone. How do these people find each other?

Better go see if my DH let the kittens out of their cage. We have an Owl in the trees around here so I keep kittens shut up at night until they are older. My DH was not happy when I took them in but I think he spoiled them more than me while I was gone. It's fun to watch them play. Yesterday the dog ran across the carport and they were chasing him. They think if something is going away from them that they have chased it away.

   Now I'm wondering what kind of an impression I made at the GTG!!

Martha, I missed my La buds as soon as I drove off! Can't wait til I come back, especially now with this 60 degree weather! I'm such a wuss when it comes to cold weather. Don't worry about your son, eventually they figure it out, especially when mom isn't there to run interference! LOL!

Sharon,
I'm sorry we weren't able to gtg on your way home. BUT, I think you made the right decision, and think you also made the right decision to carry on last night. Winds today are high here also. I think you would have had it worse if you had stopped. Unless the winds have already let up by you.

I just finished (for now) the activities calendar for the website for the park here. Now I have a paying job - yeah! - for only a day - but cleaning out a park model to ready it for the owners who will be back here on Sunday. I have to go see if the electric is back on to their place first. Then turn on the water and I'm good to go. But need those 2 things. Electric company said they'd have it on today - anytime lol

Tomorrow I expect cooler temps here. Have so been enjoying the closest thing to summer I've had this year ... will be hard to relinquish. But I've been expecting it.

Sharon , Glad to hear that you made it home safely. They are predicting high winds for the Deming area as well. Not looking forward to my first "dust storm".
