Introducing Cheerio

Come on in and say hello.

Introducing Cheerio

Postby Cheerio » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:22 am

My husband and I have lived on 6 acres in Black Forest, Colorado (northern edge of Colo. Springs) for over 40 years, raising 2 daughters and every kind of animal known to mankind. Now that our girls are grown, with kids of their own, our barn's empty, but an rv barn has risen next to it.

Lately though, seems the only time our Mini Winnie sees daylight is when Pete opens the double doors of the barn to let the engine idle. We and our two pups, Popcorn and Izzy, can't wait to hit the highways again...gas be darned.

Reading's one of my passions, and trading likes and dislikes a big part of the fun.

Welcome Cheerio! Hope you can get your RV out of its housing before there's too much snow to get on the road!

Welcome, Cheerio. IF you can get out this winter and head south - some of us in AZ would be sure to be able to gtg here and there.

Glad to have you with us.

Welcome Cheerio. Agree with the others. Start that engine and get on the road. We would love to meet up with you somewhere down the road.

Welcome to the forum. Get out and do what makes your heart sing. It is only gas money...and as long the the dogs can still afford their dog food...I am hoping to keep heading out. As others will remind us, there are no promises of what each day will bring us. Don't wait until all you have is regrets of what you didn't try to accomplish..... :) I look forward to visiting with you around a real campfire...down the road. :)

Welcome to the forum, Cheerio. Go for it before winter sets in (even if just to a closeby rv park) if you can. Hope to meet you on the road one day.

well hello there Gail, and a big welcome to a fellow pioneer :D Lived all my adult life (from teen on) in Denver metro area until my move(12 years ago) to Arizona. (big mistake) I really miss the green vegetation, I'm not much of a cactus person,
but it is what it is and when I get to retire in a couple years I'll spend my summers back in Colorado and even do a little more wandering. I''m familiar with the
Black Forest, very beautiful area as is 95% of Colordado. Soon as ya get the hang of posting pics, I'd love to see some of my home state and of course we love
our critters too so pics of the critters are very welcome.

Welcome from the left coast....when I'm there, that is! :D I love Colorado...40 acres, huh? Do you like company??

Welcome, Cheerio! Love the name :D
Black Forest, CO sounds enchanting. I agree with the others - pull that winnie out & hit the road before you get snowed in.
We do love going on adventures - especially those of us who are still have to work for a few more years.
