Good-Bye, Blue Marlin Resort...

Postby mitch5252 » Tue Nov 06, 2012 4:41 pm

Vickie and Homer left today (finally).
She and I both welled up with tears.
It was a great visit.

And as a side note, The Blue Marlin Resort is no more...
All that's left are those two Tiki Torches and a short sidewalk to nowhere.

Wait, wait, wait....you can't get out of the "resort" business that easily... :o  Not all "Spas" have to have a pool....some specialize in meditation and relaxation...good and healthy foods and fresh country air......So unless you place a chain across the driveway...I am thinking that repeat customers will still find their way up the driveway to give you the "business"..... (Stuart suggests that those who like swimming could hit the pond. It worked just fine for him! )

You're so sweet, Tina!!

Okay, so now I gotta go get some candles and stinky stuff and de-bark the dog and design some Blue Marlin Meditation T-Shirts...okay, I LOVE a challenge!
Oh, and invest in some really soft, mood enhancing music. And take a Yoga class or two.

The Blue Marlin Resort does not need a pool. It's got the hostess with the mostess and that alone makes it a resort I'll get to one day. Not sure if you'll take that as a good thing or a threat. :-)

It was so hard to say goodbye to Mitch today.

We made it to Coldwater MS & stopped for the night. I just hate that it gets dark at 5 pm now!

I told Mitch she could hook up the MM & probably beat us home!
(Sure would be a nice surprise :P )

Mitch - that looks like a perfect spot to start expansion of the resort. Bet you could get enough contributions to put in another 30 amp post and a parking pad (don't want to have to call wrecker again).
Don't think you will ever be short on folks wanting to come see you. Probably end up having to publish schedule on when your are open/closed for visitors.
Don't forget you can also use this new set up to sell your RV graphics. Maybe make the place a tax deduction in the process.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Sarah, that's a great idea! And there's already a 20A post that George put in for the pool pump. Maybe it's even 30A - I'd go check, if I knew how. Too bad that little sidewalk to nowhere is too narrow!
