Good Morning, All!!! Guess you all are sleeping in...Thunder storm and high winds had me up around 4:30am.....but had to get my coffee in me before getting here...

Read the goings on, but can't do the justice to them as Zeee does, but will say am glad to see all the new folks and that they are jumping in and enjoying themselves....Welcome, Sistas'.... :D

I've been late here quite alot the last few days....been doing holiday clean-up in the 5er, working on projects, and of course, FISHING!!!

Heard from Jill (Sunseeker) overnight....Tommy & she are fine....working early hours and very busy....she sends her love to all...

Okay.....need more coffee, so Zeee's pot is going here at the table, and brought Grandma Redington's "Boston Brown Bread" with Blackberry jam to the table for you to try.....enjoy....

Have a great day, all...

The dogs just ran out to pee and now think that it is time to eat. Not yet. It is quiet around here, but the pups usually snuffle enough to get me up if I've gone to bed at a reasonable hour... I have started to wait until later in the morning to feed them though and keep changing the time so they aren't so demanding. The one rule is that if they are barking or demanding, they can be sure they are NOT eating..... They have relearned to keep a much quieter profile in the morning. The weatherman says it is warmer, but the wind here is still chilling my bones. Something hot is very nice.

Good morning Lori and Tina!

Windy and cold here too. I was going to Plattsburgh to Sam's Club to stock up, but tomorrow will be a nicer day so i guess it's housework today and put the road trip off until tomorrow.

I'll need a double on that coffee,... i'm trying to get my head into the "back to work" mode,... dangit, Monday will come too quickly.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

I slept in this morning but not as late as I would have liked. Went to bed straight from the campfire but played with Shade for a little bit before turning off the light and crashing. LOL Shade was a happy excited puppy last night. I found her fave ball. That ball has about had it, it's disreputable and almost ready for the trash can but she loves that nasty thing. She has been going nuts cause she couldn't find it. So I got to looking. Found it at the foot of the bed tangled up in a fleece blanket and under the bottom corner of my top sheet. I pulled it out, showed it to her and OMG she went bananas. Tossed it to her and she went wild. It's one of those foam rubber Splat Balls that kids play with in the summer, they soak them in water and have ? water ball fights?? Any way other than her teddy bear love slave that ball is her fave. It's easy for her to get her small mouth on and super light weight so she can actually grab it, shake it, toss it herself and then chase it. I laugh my butt off watching her. When we lived in the apt she would take it to the top of the stairs, growl, shake it, throw it down them and then go flying to chase it. Silly dog. I think it's the first one I bought for her and believe me it shows the usage and wear. I've bought her new ones but she keeps going back to that nasty first one. I'm really lucky that she has never really torn up any of her toys. But of course that means that when she gets going that there are a lot of toys laying around. I'd like to know how the heck other people train their dogs to pick up their toys??? Never had a problem teaching the kids but just can't get Shade into doing it. She just stands there and watches Mom picking them up.

Today is gonna be housework day I guess? The weather outside looks kinda yucky but it's suppose to improve. Wouldn't mind getting the bike out from under cover, fired up and go for a short ride today?? I'll have to see how it goes. Got a huge pile of dishes to do, floors to do and some laundry. Might leave laundry for tomorrow tho? Wouldn't want to be bored tomorrow cause I have nothing to do. Kelly will attack the bathroom and vacuum the couch. It's nice to have a whole weekend off and try to decide 'which' day to laundry! LOL

Ok gonna get me some breakfast so I guess I had better stop flapping my fingers. Can't flap fingers and fry eggs at the same time. And of course my coffee needs a refill. Any body else want a couple of eggs??? I'm frying and ya better speak up quick before I do mine and sit back down.

ahhhhh, good morning
coffee tastes mighty good this morning, and I'll grab a banana, make some cinnamon
toast and call it breakfast. Everyone certainly has been busy for the new year, and
me, of course busy cleaning detail style in preparation for my company next weekend.
Back to work on Monday so gotta wind up all the details this weekend then I can just
do daily upkeep all week. The plane is scheduled to land about 10:30, and by the
time to get baggage and rental car it will be noonish. They will hang out here until
checkin time at the resort (3:30). Can ya tell I'm getting nerveous, 18 years is a
long time not to see you sister.
Noticed I need to clean out the pantry, crumbs and dog food kibbles scattered in
the bottom, so have put that on the list. I feel I've become obsessive compulsive
about cleaning  ha, just not me, but its gotta be done!
Time for a refill and off to read the forum news. Have a great day and always
be safe.

Yeah Lori, we got rocked to sleep last night. I love a nice storm when I'm all cozy under the covers.
Someone asked me, don't you worry about a branch coming through your roof? Now there in a nutshell is the difference between a glass half full and a glass half empty. I love to feel the rig rock and hear the rain pattering on the roof. Why waste that pleasure by worrying about something that probably won't happen. If it does..I'll deal with it then.
Beth and I plan on a little trip to Rockport today. And a word of advice to those with temporary crowns....don't chew gum. It sticks to them something awful.Well off for more Tea and Chocolates. Barbz, I brought a box of my favorite Twinings Irish Breakfast Tea. Its actually an Indian Tea, not a China Tea. Excellente!

Good-morning, had to chuckle Ava over your compulsive cleaning thoughts  You know I think we all need special company coming to really clean, especially when you reach my age. I have always been an overly neat freak, before children, they started the millowing process. Now, I am the opposite. Lifes to short to do windows, wash or paint walls at certain times of the year. I try to keep it all neat,(don't always manage this, when I am here alone   ) but spring cleaning time etc. I am off somewhere if I can manage it.
Of course, I am the only one living in this house, so I can do what I want, when I want. I just try to keep it neat, so I don't freak out, if I do have company

Thanks for the first chuckle of the day. I hope you have a really nice visit with your sis, try not to be to nervous about it. We'll all be wishing you well, to bad she couldn't come while you had some time off work, for a real visit.

Sounds like everyone here is doing housework today. Hey, maybe I should  I have my decorations to put away, thought to give the closet where I keep it a good sorting and throw a lot of the stuff, I don't even know what all is in that closet. I keep the door shut all of the time  I just know for one person, I have way to much stuff in this huge place.

Enjoy your week-end Echo, so glad you stuck to your guns and took your time for yourself. You certainly deserve it. I noticed in one of your post, you read Jane Auel. Her books are really good, but gosh she takes so long to get the other one out. Sorry to say, I kind of gave up on her. I was waiting on so many, I forgot who all they were, you reminded me she at one time was one of them.

The weather isn't too good many places today, including here so guess I will get onto reading the post here and then do some housework.

Have a great day ladies, whereever you are and whatever you're doing !!!

Most of all stay safe, and in some cases warm

Good Morning All!

Temperature at just 10 above zero F. here, and snowing. We got about another 3 to 4 inches overnight. If it warms up in the sun, later, maybe I can get in some skiing, at last!

Kids got back to Orlando in just 2 1/2 hours, airport to airport! Just boggles my mind it's so fast by plane, and it takes me three full days to drive it. Price one way on Allegiant Air was 30.00....all taxes and fees included! AMAZING!

Coffee here, and I'll have a banana, I guess, and avoid that last cranberry-orange muffin!

Like Cedar, I guess I'll wait another day to go food shopping, unless I just go to Lake Placid's Food Chopper today instead of WalMart or Sam's Club.

Decisions, decisions! School begins in two more days....NOT looking forward to that at all. I am loving the schedule-free time more and more. Retire? Can't retire. Retire? Shouldn't retire. Retire? Why not??

Dilemmas and dilemmas and decisions and decisions!

Hope you all have a fun day doing something you love to do!

Happy travels!

Good morning ladies! It's a sunshiny one here in central FL, expected to be 79 degrees for a high. I'm doing a load of laundry and later will go with a friend who is car shopping. We've been giving all the dealers a thrill by showing up on their lots, but they were sure disappointed when she didn't buy in time to help them make their year-end quotas. They are all desperate out there, and if you're looking to buy a new car, it's a good time to wheel and deal. Glad I'm not looking though, it's ok to help someone else spend their money.

have a nice day all

Morning All
Looks like the wind and rain overnight are going to turn into a beautiful day here. Already mid 60's and not so windy with the sun peaking through the wispy coulds.

Now, as Sparkle said, we're headed out today - supposed to leave at 10 - it's already about 20 to and I haven't showered yet - so I'm offffffffffffffffffffffff to see the shower (better not be a wizard in my shower :) )

Have a great day all.

Morning! Everyone must be blowing away today...it's 18 here and we're suppose to get freezing rain and sleet pellets this afternoon. Oh joy. Ava...you're going to have yourself so worn out cleaning that you won't enjoy the visit! But I do the same thing. Last night we attended a 80th birthday party for DH aunt...she told her kids that she thought they were trying to give her a heart attack for her birthday. It was fun and many of us sat and discussed our upcoming cousin camping reunion that will take place this summer. Really have to take down the tree today, seems that we've been running somewhere just about every day and night since Christmas. First I have to go to the bank, buy some groceries, fill up the car with gas for next week and stop at the post office. Don't know about the rest of you, but here gas went up .14 a gallon yesterday. Have a good day...
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Morning everybody! NO house cleaning for me, I'm going "window shopping" for an RV! My DD is coming along, baby will be with her other Grandma.
Hopefully DD will keep me from doing anything rash and I will leave my check book at home! Some of you may remember I have been planning on a Casita for a couple years, but in the last few months my ideas have evolved (thanks to learning experience at TX GTG) and now I am leaning towards a "B".
There's a RV show in Victoria in a couple weeks, anybody interested in going? :D

Good Morning ladies !
I can see some blue sky here in Florence so I think it'll be a decent day - weeeeeeeee !!!!!
Echo, I'm so glad you have the weekend off !! I hope you make some time for yourself - play with your pup some more, take a nap, watch a movie, just relax !!!
Ava, try not to worry too much about cleaning. I've never visited my sisters (or anyone I love) and thought "dang - they didn't clean" - the visit is about family ! I know I do the same thing, clean like crazy, but it really doesn't matter ! Try to relax and enjoy your visit :D
Mtgal - enjoy window shopping :D I loved looking at all the RV's when I was shopping for the Cottage. Have fun and let us know what you saw :D
Hope you all enjoy your day - Good fishing - Good times and peace to you all !!!!

Always enjoy this part of the website…so gonna try to post…
Here in Northern Calif….it is 52 degrees & cold….feels more like 30…kinda windy & the sun peeks out every once in a while….really hate this kind of weather & can’t wait for Spring & Summer !! ;)
Just wanted to tell mtngal that according to the RVTravel website, some RV’s are being discounted as much as 50% at some places in Southern Calif. It seems that if one is going to buy an RV, that this definitely would be the time to do some shopping & some serious negotiating if you come across something that fits your needs/wants. One of the largest RV dealers in the U.S. (Dan Gamel) closed all but one of his locations….Deals are out there….just have to shop and be firm with those salespeople!!!….Good luck… 8-)
