New at this kind of RVing

Come on in and say hello.

New at this kind of RVing

Postby KarenS » Fri Nov 02, 2012 9:53 am

Hello all, I am Karen S, I have been camping lots before but had a living quarter horse trailer - I am now out of the horse business and just bought a 35 foot 5th wheel, I pull it with a 3/4 ton truck, I live in Monticello, FL - I work full time and have 2 dogs (yep 2) also one grown daughter - I love to camp and really want to meet people that like to do the same. I am divorced. It is hard to talk about yourself without someone asking you the questions. :D So hope to meet many of you and get to camp lots. Thanks Karen

Hi, Karen!

A big, ol' Forum Welcome to you! We're glad you joined us. Make sure you check out the GTG Thread for a soon-to-be-happening LARGE GTG in Florida! You might consider attending that in order to meet a bunch of Forum members.

Feel free to join in wherever and whenever you want. This is one great bunch of generous, intelligent, and caring women. Sometimes funny, too.

Welcome aboard. After living in the dressing area of a horse trailer you might find a 35 foot 5th wheel to be a mansion! :) I am one of us that hope to be in FL staying warm this winter. Hope that you can swing it to stop by an get to now some of us in person around a real campfire. Until then, jump in the free for all that is our daily fare!

Hello two-dog Karen! We won't blink at that ... some might say "ONLY two dogs?"

Welcome from a former two-dogger (both have gone on without me ...). This forum is full of terrific women who will become your friends and best support group if you hang with us. If you've lurked at all, you'll see we talk about lots more than RVing. We talk about all the life that surrounds our RVing. So that includes births, deaths, jobs, travel, joy, fear and sadness. You know -- life.

So come join in, post pictures (we LOVE pictures) and share your adventure with us.

Hi Karen! I'm new to this too, spend most of my time on "morning coffee," not very often do I stray into "new member" area. WELCOME! These are great women that have helped me learn what I've gotten myself into! Well, do attend the FL GTG if ya can! It'll be my first, can't wait! No more horses? My sis from IL recently got a little horse farm in Reddick, FL, which is where I'll stay. I'll be dropping in on the the ladies tho, so many I can't wait to meet! Hope ya can get there! (I'm shocked they still let me post since I can't do pix!!!! Not even with their help  Hoping I'll get an "in person" lesson when I'm in FL)

I usually have NO idea what forum I am in as I just click on "view new posts". Heck I dont want to miss anything. BUT if gone for a few days I know I miss stuff so then I have to go to "unread posts"....sigh I MUST get a life.

Hi Karen. I too am from Florida. I am in a 32 foot Coachman Freelander. Hope you are at the Florida gathering. You will meet a lot of great people. Right now my rig is in the shop, so hoping they get it back together before January.

I still have a house, here, but working to clear it out and sell it. Want to roam around for awhile. I know you are enjoying your fifth wheel and looking forward to meeting you.

I have two little dogs I travel with, they instinctively know when it is moving day.
