POLITICs

No matter your political persuasion, VOTE. My grandmother, along with many of your grandmas, were born into a USA in which they had limited rights. My grandma did not gain the right to vote till she was 30 yrs old in 1920. Our ancestors worked hard and lost a lot to gain our right to vote and have a say in our government and run for office.

I know if you travel a lot, it is not a high priority. But it is very easy to get an absentee ballot by mail. Honor our grandmothers and ourselves by voting. Don't loose our collective "VOICE"

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!!

Yes!!!

I used to make my students write a "how to" essay in election years. Not a political paper; just the nuts-and-bolts of how to go to your precinct, identify yourself, and cast a ballot. First-years are usually voting for the first time, and the procedure often isn't clear to them. I liked giving them that little nudge.

Good for you Louise. You'd be surprised how many people don't know how to go about registering to vote and then actually voting. I took my kids into the voting booth with me. When they voted their first time we celebrated. I started giving them little treats if they gave me their receipt that proved they voted. 2 of them still send me their receipts
