Thought seriously about putting the kid and the cats in the rv and heading south by southwest. But, here I still am so guess we will just hunker down and make the most of it. I'm glad I have the rv for when the power goes out...at least I have a generator in there. My house sits high enough on a hill that I shouldn't have to worry about flooding, but the trees out back are awfully close and awfully big! Hopefully they will fall away from the house if they fall!

Well, I need to go secure more things outside in preparation for the winds to come.

Paulette, stay safe! That storm looks scary. Isn't it great to have the comfort of an RV backup? Hope you have full water, gas & propane tanks.

My DD is a flight attendant out of Portland, OR and has been flying overnighters or layovers to Boston this month, (leaves Sun. early AM and returns late Mon night). She just texted that as soon as they landed, just a bit ago, the crew was told that they would be deadheading back to Portland on the next flight. I'm so relieved that she, nor anyone else on that scheduled flight, will be in the air during the worse part of the storm. Hope the other airlines follow suit, too.

I pray the "perfect storm" doesn't pan out for the millions in harms way.
