Another FL gtg chance

Sarah, Wendy and I are making reservations for down in the Keys after the big FL GTG. We will be staying at the Jolly Roger RV Park in Marathon, FL. Our reservations run for a week...arriving Wednesday, Feb 6 and leaving Wednesday, Feb 13. Our thinking was to give us several wandering around days going down the coast to sight see and play tourist.

I have no idea what spaces there may still be available and I do know that the three of us are not parked next to each other. This is their high season. The web site says tht they accept Passport America and they do but only on those back sites (you will see the sights if you pull up the campground map.). And the PA sites are full for that time frame. They also ask the length of your rig as I think this may be an older park and some of the sites only accommodate us smaller folks.

Anyway. The cost is pricy and many may not be interested for that and many other reasons but we didn't want anyone to think we were running off and ditching then.

So there it is....if your budget allows come on down and enjoy the Keys with us. I plan to tow my Honda Fit with me so there will be transportation available to take day trips to sites farther down the Keys.....or at least that is our plan for now.

Oh, man, if money and time were no objects, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I want one of those yellow oceanfront sites.

I would love to visit the keys too, but already have our reservations for February and March following the FL GTG. Going to be staying in Wildwood if anyone in the area wants to have a mini GTG. Will around the corner from Zeee's house from what I understand. There are a few of us who will be staying in this area and are going to try to GTG for at least a meal or something. Can firm up any plans at that time.

I planted the seed with DH to go to FL in Jan/Feb. So far/ so good. Would love to make it all the way to the keys, but DH is hesitant to be gone so long. However, we both have been to the keys in the past and it is on our list to visit together. So here's hoping

Ok, that sounds great! I have my reservation in and they still had at least one more site available. I had been looking at cgs farther south to meander to, but everything I checked was full. Cheaper, but full, haha.

Yippie.... I think we definitely have enough for a card game if the beautiful water isn't exciting enough! And we will need to talk to the weather gods for good kayaking weather.....

I will be on Big Pine Key those dates, so we can get together as you pass through. I am a member of this resort and wanted to take a trip down there this year, so grabbed the opportunity.

Try to come! You'll get to spend more time with Pepper! You could go ahead and put yyour reservation in, you only have to put down one night. I think Liz said they had a couple sites when she called. You can always cancel, but hope not!

Got a call today, they are ordering the parts, the extended warranty company will pay half and I pay the rest. Not going to fight this, just want the motorhome fixed. I need to practice with my fit.
