Peaches, with argument, let me sleep in till almost 9 this morning. And what a glorious start it is to the new year here. We took a decent walk - the sun is shining - not a sign of any fog - it's in the mid 60's now - just a glorious new day :)

We ran into Sparkle and she mentioned wanting to go to Wally World - so got to get off here and check and see when she wants to go - not sure what, if anything I need, but doncha know, it's impossible to go to Wally World without spending money :)

Have a great day, all - don't make resolutions that you'll feel guilty if you can't keep - that's totally not worth it. But here's to hoping that I get to meet several more of the wonderful ladies on this forum - maybe even some who haven't joined us yet!

And Happy Anniversary Carol. It's my sis's anniversary, also - need to call her :)

Happy 2009..wishing you health, happiness and prosperity! I'm a little draggy this morning. Didn't really have any plans for last night, decided that we would go to our friends bar from 6:30-8 (before the young crowd and loud music) and then come home and grill steaks and call it a night. Best laid plans...didn't get home until 9...not a drastic change in the agenda. While I was hanging up my coat the phone rang and it was our friends who we camp with all the time. Ended up that they walked the block and a half to our house and we stayed up until 2:30! I'm not just draggy...I am one hurtin' unit. I don't think they should come to our house to play anymore. New Years Day we always go to the Lake Club...the men cook and the women bring sides. DH and another friend are deep frying three turkeys and grilling several pork loins. The accommodations are a little rustic (under statement) ....I'm just happy that it's suppose to get up to 38 today..because the lodge has outhouses! It will be an afternoon of pinochle and 500 and dice games with people of all ages coming and going.

It's mentioned that we should post where we live...I'm in SD...so if 2009 is going to be the year you decide to visit the Big Stone Faces...let me know...we're a good place to stop on the way. We're only about 50 miles from the Corn Palace...the world's biggest bird feeder! Now I have to make my deviled eggs...hope those little suckers will peel decent.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Happy New Year everyone, and happy anniversary, Carol!

I watched the NY ball fall on TV which was in EST so around, what, 9 pm PST? After that the fireworks start and kept up until 12:45! My pup hates fireworks and he was a mess. AT one point I couldn't get him out from behind the sofa.

May God continue to bless each one of you in 2009!

Oh, that New Years Day party sounds wonderful to me. I grew up in a house where we had open house every New Years Day - tons of food, lots of comaraderie - and I do miss that. Your description Pat has me smiling from all the fond memories. Hope you have a great day - hope all of you do!

Just wanted to wish all of you a very happy and prosperous New Year. I hope mine will be as great as this last year was. I have put over 10,000 miles on my motorhome which I have had for a year and a half.

I would post more but it takes me forever to read everything you all post. You have been my travel companions all the way. Every morning the computer is turned on and there you are. It is great.
