looks yummy really yummy love dutch oven cooking
have you ever tried a dump cake can do it either in the oven or dutch oven
actually except for the fun of it and the places you can do dutch oven can
do most of the recipes in the oven
I was some where where they had a huge dutch oven like 25 qt can't remember but it was huge
and I couldn't even think of lifting the lid on that one
will look for the recipes

Sheila - the first picture is my peach dump cake before cooking. And the 12" is a 6 quart and is plenty heavy for me.

I think we used to have a 14 qt and it was plenty big because of the weight
it was one of those things we donated to the kids but thinking I might get one of
the smaller ones back it's a fun thing to do I didn't do it a lot but what I did enjoyed

DEElicious looking, Maggie, but no way will I be making any such stuff! When I used to tent, had no job, no money, I would make dutch oven stuff with thrift shop food ingredients, local in-the-field berries, plants, and fish from the brook in order to survive. However, I am no longer in a tent deep in the woods, and my plump body tells me I am no longer in danger of starving! I really dislike (hate, to be exact) cooking of any type, but this heavy iron-over-or-next-to-a-woodfire stuff is on the top of that list! You are to be honored for taking it on!
