Well, I love Peaches, but she just jumped on me and my entire message disappeared. She must inately know that New Year's Eve is meant for noisemakers - cuz since I walked her and we got back, she's been getting every squeak toy she owns and squeaking them LOL

Sparkle didn't make it till midnight at our party. But she did take lots of pics. Scares me, cuz I was a'drinkin' the margaritas she provided and have no clue how many pics she really took :o But I did make it till midnight. Oh, we both got a lot of dancing in - had some bad pizza and some good snacks -

Then I came home after midnight to spend time with Peaches - my sweetheart that gives me love everyday! Don't know what I'd do without her. So when you're all counting your blessings for this new year - if you have any furkids, please remember them - as they never forget you :)

Happy New Year my sisters - glad to have you in my life!

I think I may have snoozed off more than I thought, while awaiting the arrival of the New Year...now I'm awake and at 1:45, still nosing around in the forum  . I know I'm going to suffer for staying up into the wee hours of today.

Goooooooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS to each and everyone of you. I am wishing that this new year will be full of wonderful things for all. Full of great new adventures, fun, laughter, love, easier times and healing for those who need it. I hope that those that are searching will find their niche in life and place.

Yep I'm an old worn out lady! I just couldn't fight it anymore and gave up the battle with my eye lids at about 11:45pm. I think it was actually about ten minutes earlier than that tho cause I have the kitchen clock set 10m fast. But I just couldn't hang on any more. And then of course I woke up at 5:20 this morn. OH NO I DON'T!!! I went P and went back to bed!!! Went back into the bedroom and Shade stood in the doorway looking at me like I was nuts, had to call her in. Crawled back under the blankets and snuggied! I felt her little beady eyes boring holes in me. I finally couldn't stand it and had to reach out to pull her down and scratch her belly so I wouldn't have to feel them eyes!!! I did manage to get another hours worth of sleep out of it. Woke up at 6:30 and said the he77 with it, got up and took the pups out to P. Oh joy and my day off too. Brrrrr was cold out there this morning. A whole big 6f, brrrrrrr. Dogs enjoyed it tho. They both got into puppy frenzies. sheesh And Honey had to have a good roll to scratch her back in the frosty grass.

Have today off but have to work tomorrow. This weekend tho I am taking the whole freaking 2 days off. They are going to be all mine. I am gonna try and get most of all the housework done today so that I will not have much to do this weekend basically will just have laundry left to do. Hope David and Jenny come home today as I want the tree down and out the door. They went to friends last night to celebrate and we were all in agreement about them not driving home so David took their sleeping bags. It's really rather nice to have laminate floors, ya know! Don't have to worry about still vacuuming up needles come July or August!!! But the living room is still a disaster from Christmas. Got all the boxes and wrappings taken care of and out to the garbage can the day after Christmas but everyone needs to take care of the loot they got for Christmas. Jenny was so funny after she opened her gifts from Kelly and I. Said that now she felt all grown up because we got her baking dishes, cookie sheets and a set of silverware. LOL The very first thing I have to do is put up my new calendar. It's called Mountain View and boy does it have some beautiful pictures in it. I can so easily picture my tent sitting there amid all the splendor of the mountains, the streams and lakes. Yep that tent sure does look good sitting at the waters edge and the camp chairs next to the fire ring. Hmmm? I must be out for a walk enjoying the peace and quiet cause my butts not planted in one of the chairs. ;)

I want to welcome the newest members again to the forum!! It is so awesome to see old friends and to have the chance to make new ones. We are certainly growing!!! WooooHoooo

Ok I'm off to check out some other stuff and I really need to check the Power Ball numbers. Ya just never know. Wouldn't that just be one heck of a jump start to the new year!!!!

Hope everyone will have a great day today as always, kick back and relax. Be safe.

Love to all

Thanks for the coffee. It is a wonderful sunny, though slightly chilly, morning here in SW Ohio. But I will take the sunshine. It looks like it could be warm. Tomorrow...the weatherman said...maybe. The pups went to bed with me at 10:00 pm last nite. The day comes with or without us.....This AM they are all bouncing around trying to convince me to take them somewhere.....do something. Another cup of something warm and several of them may head over to the Health Care Center and visit awhile. They pups tell the residents, "Of course, we come to visit you, we don't get this kind of attention at home :)" I have been reading a lot and trying to save up my gas money for the future...I want to be able to afford my share of the real firewood when I travel down the road.

Tina and the furry ones trying to get their own leashes on and open the door to goooooooo.....

Isn't it great to wake up on the first morning of a New Year knowing we have friends to check in with? I haven't uploaded my photos yet. I have no idea what they will look like because I had many more Margaritas than I planned. I did notice that when we danced early on in the evening we were so controlled...elbows tucked in, neat footwork, on the beat. By the end of the evening arms were waving in the air...beat...what beat?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and good morning
I fell asleep about 10 last night, buts usual for me, I've only ever stayed up once
to ring in the new year over my lifetime. But I did hear the party of fireworks
going off at the casino down the street, woke me up, and I said to the doggies,
"Happy New Year, girls" and then went back to sleep. This is going to be a better
year, I can feel it!

Not much doing for me today, I borrowed 6 dvd movies from my daughters
collection so I have plenty to entertain me including what the tv might air.
I'm going to stop by and visit with Bandit, I miss him but he can't come home
yet. Go check on daughters cat, stop by the store and back home.

Our temps are back in the 70's so thats good, come on down, you ladies that
are in the cold, brrrrrrr, head for warmer climate!

Well thats it from me, coffee is brewed and going to make some cinnamon toast
for breakfast. Enjoy your day.

GOOD NEW YEAR MORNING to us all!

Thanks for the great coffee, Barb!

I made it for the ball drop, shrieked RABBITS (scared the living he77 outta poor little Molly!) and got a call from my kids to wish me a happy new year. The RABBITS thing was a old family tradition passed down to me by my great grandmother. Supposedly, if the very first spoken word out of your mouth on the first of any month is RABBITS, you will have good luck all month. And January is a special month for making sure you do that, as it's also a new year! I have actually remembered perhaps a total of 5 or so times in my life to do it, as I usually speak to the 4-footers who are sleeping on my bed first!

I guess if I shrieked loud enough my varying hares in the yard would leap sky high and flee the area!

Have a great 2009, y'all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Gooooood morning ya'll and Happy New Year. I didn't make it to midnight. When the fireworks starting going off both dogs jumped under the covers then growled at every firecracker that went off. Would have been more impressive as watchdogs if they weren't cowering under the covers. My big mean dogs! I'm sure with their tongues hanging out of their smiling mouths and their tails wagging they just scare the devil out of everyone. I hope I get to meet more of you this year.

Happy New Year everyone!

We have snow flakes on this 1st day of 2009 but we will only get a dusting of it.

We did not watch the ball drop, hardly ever do out here. We are in mountain time so all that business so early in the evening just gets forgotten. We had a movie on and didn't turn on the TV until almost 1AM eastern so...that's the way that went.

I spent most of the evening going through log home books and websites. We've decided on a layout but not an exact plan. None of the plans meet my needs 100%. Mostly people in these neck of the woods don't use a formal entrance. The mudroom entry is the most important as well as a place to hang coveralls and set nasty poopy boots. I want a real laundry room not just a closet! And we'll have an oldstyle kitchen with wood burning cookstove, walk-in pantry, old style cabinets & sink and large woodbox on the back porch. Luckily I'm not new to house designing -- I drew up the plans for my last 2 new houses. So, I'm having to redo the so called Modern houses turning back the clock a century or 2!

Wow, the snow is getting heavier...time to get off here to watch the Rose Parade on HGTV...

Feliz Ano Nuevo desde Bahia de Kino, MX
I know I'm late and everyone has already been here. Stayed up to 12 then hit sack. Not much excitement around here.
Today is our 44th anniversary too.
Last night we were watching a Honeymooners marathon - how did she ever keep a straight face.
