Wednesday...it's the last day of the YEAR...Morning to all...May this ending be a new beginning.....We've been blessed with a Sisterhood of awesome friends and we've received more riches than gold..We've traveled across this great divide, (some never leaving their homes)..but we've taken that ride (along with all of you) .. It has certainly been filled with Love, Laughter and Tears...and a bumpy road at that..So, out with the Old and In with the NEW... May God Bless You All... SISTA (H) 's

Beep Beep...LOL Make yourself at home . Sure is good to have a Cricket in the home... heard tell it brings one luck... Good to have you too...!!

BumpJumper (Dawn) I'm so sorry I missed you slide on through here...must have been in the kitchen or out to lunch...but welcome dear..We sure is a neat group and a very close group at that..well, we like that we are Sista's through and through...you'll find us all very supportive..and if we don't know we'll certainly find out ...and yep mostly Women..with a few men that are our partners in life.. but boy do we love to Gossip..aaaaaah nothing finer..and share some great stories...have a huge campfire..and a big kitchen too... Welcome !

Up here we go...Beth's off to Alaska this new year..and looking for those that want to go along...boy I sure wish I could..but Beth, I'll be with ya through our forum...Sista's think this one out..sounds like a really great time.. Gas prices so far are staying down..maybe for some iffn' ya don't want to do it yourselves maybe (think this one out) the few that travel alone might want to join each other..good food for thought ...share expenses.. It's out on the table for all to think about it...

Beth's got another one going too...Wow Beth..you is a travelin woman !! the Rally in New Mexico...now that does sounds great too..and who doesn't like Neil Sadaka...I"m humming his tunes now...can't dance them..but can sure hum.. April 17th 2009..only a few months away...check that out !!!!

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill) I saw you at the campfire.. and sure hoping Bill's cold gets over with soon...Yep,it's sure is amazing how these big rigs can get so small... when someone's ill...no place to hide...but you know we've got lots of room ..Yeppers..at the campfire or in the kitchen...

NaSoosie (Soosie) So happy to hear you are having a great time with your family..and we certainly understand that time is of the essence..Enjoy them while you can... we have a place here waiting on ya ..and a hot cup of coffee too...plenty of firewood..cause we know if not you'll have some too...!!

Thank you from my heart to yours..Most of you all have known our family had a horrific tragedy in Nov and we're still going through it..but being here with all of you had truly made my long days much better..and GentleladyBear...(Nan) thank you so much for your visit..it really helped.. (even though I'm getting the where's the pictures..mmmmmmm it's in her camera..honestly....)

Goooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!!

OMG!!! Where the he77 did the past year go??? It just kinda slide right by. Kelly and I were talking about how fast the year has gone by the other day. I told her that I think one reason is that with our jobs and that all we seem to do is work, eat and sleep without hardly anything to break it up that we have been on auto mode. Without much to break up the time and very little in the way of distractions we lose track of time going by. The days seem to run one into the other. So which is it? Time to stop and smell the roses? Or time to get going, hurry up and enjoy life????

Yeppers! I been watching to find a cricket to show up!!! Yep crickets are cute little things and they can sure add to the pleasure of the day but the little buggers can bite too. LOL Kind of the way everything in life is and should be. Hmmm? If ya think about it? That sure does sound like a whole lot of women I know!! Nice, sweet, friendly, happy go lucky, helpful, loving, capable, self sufficient, kind, considerate but look out for that bite when it's needed. LOL And if'in ya aint got the choppers to bite with??? A baseball bat works!! So I was very glad to see Cricket come chirping a happy song!!! Welcome Cricket.

And can't forget that we have another one to welcome too. Welcome to ya BumpJumper!!! So glad that you could join us!! Yep I will add to what the others have said. We are a nosy bunch for sure, but were nice about it!!!

Went to Books-a-Million last eve after we got out of work. Ohhhh! We got out of work at 5pm too!!!!!! WOOHOO! I ended up buying Sue Henry's 3 Maxie McNabb books. Oh goodness I was so happy when I saw them. LOL I had already gotten my quota so I put 3 other books back to get these. I'm starting off with Serpents Trail. So with these to read I just might be quiet for a bit!

Ok it's time I got it in gear. Got to take a shower and get around for work. Work today, tomorrow off, work Friday and by goodness I am taking the weekend off! Both Saturday and Sunday! Good grief, another two days off in a row. I might get to enjoying that.

Morning all...make use of the last day of the year by doing or planning something fun.... I'm on my way to work...not fun...but plan to make up for it tonight! Going to fill my mug and grab something off the table and run, but just want to let each of you know now enjoyable you have made 2008.

end of the year, yep and what did I get in my mailbox yesterday? A big reminder from
Uncle Sam, you know the one, comes in booklet form, titled 1040EZ. Echo, you is so
right about working so hard the year just slides by, but I'm beginning to take time for
myself now and then and have already decided to look after my health a little better
than I have.
Today I'll be watching for the propane truck, got my little tag hung on the fence and
also gotta run over and check on daughters cat. Also have a little program to put on
my computer to put pictures on this little keychain thingy I got from Santa. It holds
about 60 pictures and you can view them one by one or as a little slideshow, right
on my keychain! How cool is that!
I'll tidy up the house a little, and watch some tv, thats about it. Ok, I'm off to read
up on the new posts get another cup of coffee, and a slice of sock it to me cake.

Kids just left to spend the eve with my daughter about 100+ miles north and west of here, so I have a minute to sit down and get totally overwhelmed by all the things posted while I have been gone.

Thanks for the coffee, Barb! I am having an orange-cranberry muffin with mine this afternoon!

Welcome to all the new persons who have signed in since I have been away. May I get to know you better when I have more sane time to sit and read posts!

Temperature is just 3 above zero F. this morning, and feels way colder than that, for some unearthly reason. We had a good crowd of friends over for an impromtu supper last night----hot dogs and hamburgers cooked outside and a nice fire going in my portable firepit on the deck. We scratched the plan to build a monster fire in the firepit by the party barn because the only dry wood that we had amassed for it was once again buried under the new snow! The smaller, more intimate fire up here was just perfect.

Tonight I will be toasting in the new year with egg nog and a shot of brandy, and shouting RABBITS, at midnight. Then I will fall into bed!

May we all have a great 2009 and meet face-to-face more often!

Sparkle and I are going to the New Years Eve party here tonight. Hopefully we'll be able to do some line dancing. Dinner is pizza, each of us attending brings a small plate of snacks - and they provide soft drinks, beer and champagne (and party favors). If we want hard liquor, we bring our own. It'll be a short WALK home for each of us (only way I'll go out on NYE). Looking to enjoy myself - and then come home and sleep as late as I want tomorrow - no work, yippeee!

Hope you all enjoy tonight, whether staying home or out - and please, if any of you do go out on the roads, be very very careful. NYE was always a night I liked to stay home - can't tell you how many years I watched the ball drop on Times Square. LOL This will be a change.

Quota??? Yeah, I call it a wallet or buying quota. I thought everyone was on a quota? Aren't they??? Unless their independently wealthy? I might go back next payday and get the three I put back tho?

If it would do me any good I would make a resolution for 2009 to start reversing my age every year!

Soos???? Do I dare ask about the New Years Trad that has you out shouting RABBITS? or at RABBITS? at midnight on your deck??? I am not telling all the things I have shouted out at midnight New Years Eve but I can say in all honesty that it wasn't anything about RABBITS.
