Oatmeal and fruit available and coffee is hot.

I'll be staying put here awhile. Afternoons are still hot and humid, so heading out on a cool morning walk. My Red-shouldered hawk is calling, and the sand-hill cranes are somewhere out there too.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone. Beautiful pic, Liz. It is so much fun watching all of you migrate with the seasons. All summer we got to ride along in AK. Now many are headed for FL or other points south, like Barb Zee and Liz and Soos. :P

This morning I made a cup of coffee and went out and sat in the rig with Tyler. Trying to get him to like it like home :P Spent yesterday organizing all the stuff we had just tossed in the basement. We had several empty large Rubbermaid bins in the barn. So I cleaned them and sorted stuff and stowed it away for easy access. I put DH's mobility scooter (Not assembled) on one side with the battery plugged in for the occasional charge. Also got him a king sized camp chair.

Looking forward to the TX gtg :P Dh is headed for a gun show this AM. Haven't decided if I'm going with. I really want to stay with my new baby  Gotta find a name. Nothing has fit yet. DH named his truck Walter, after the ventriloquist, comedian Jeff Dunham's old cranky character. DH wants to name it "IT". I'd better get something before "IT" sticks. Or like every other Montana, Monty. P I kinda like Mona. In Gaelic it means Noble One and Scttish means Viking or seeker. But in Olde English means moon. What is in a name?? Didn't know this would be so difficult.

Everyone have a great day and those of the road stay safe. Aloha y'all

good morning ladies
what a fabulous Saturday its going to be, although I haven't got my laundry started yet, don't know why laundry soap didn't cross my mind when I
was shopping but here I sit wanting to get started and will have to make a run to the store for laundry soap. I have emptied a few tubs purging
stuff that is NOT going back into the rv and tossing out old summer clothes. Got the long pants out yesterday as its cool in the evenings and early
mornings now but not yet time for a jacket. I have a whole week off for fall break this week and lots planned. Course by now I think everyone knows
I'll be hanging out at the hospital on wednesday but other than that, doctor appt on Tuesday and today and tomorrow I will clean out the car and
do some detailing on that. Emissions and tags sometime this week and also a drive out to the rv to measure my floor space again as I lost my day
planner with all my notes in it. I'm hoping I'll find it when I clean out my car. But I need to get out there anyway to check on it, last time I was there
tires got put on the list but I forgot to write down the size so I'll need to record that too. Will also try to get in some visits to friends over the week.
Several are on my list. :D
Guess I better get dressed and get a movin, days a wastin. Coffee is fabulous this morning, have discovered Folgers Black Silk and I really like the
taste. Grab ya a cup while its hot and fresh, son will be up soon and it will be gone. Enjoy your day ladies.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I am so looking forward to those warm FL mornings again, Liz-----love that picture! It got down to 21 deg. F. here last night, but the dogs and I were comfy out here in the trailer with the furnace on in the beginning to warm it up, and then the electric heater running all night to maintain the comfort.

Today is the last dump day for me, picking up some prescriptions in town, followed by more packing of the trailer and truck, and then the hitching to haul to my daughter's in Potsdam for a couple of weeks. This will free up Joe to come back here, take care of his father and grandmothers, stack wood here for the winter, etc. while I take care of Orion while Mandy teaches. I am looking forward to that! Then I will drive the truck back here to pick up my friend, Kathy, who will ride to FL with me this year. We will probably get on the road the last week of this month.

I did get my trailer loan refinanced yesterday, interest down from 7.9 to 4.9, and length of loan from 15 years to 5 years, with just a 50 dollar increase per month for payments. I am happy about that as I can gain equity in this so much faster now and pay so much less money in interest.

Sun is shining for the first day in so long, so off I go. Coffee is hot!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning to you all,

Liz, what a beautiful picture. Reminds me of the sunrises or sunsets I used to watch when vacationing in FL. With the Spanish Moss, it looks so peaceful. Hard to believe you are back in FL as it seems like you were just touring AK and starting to head back. Got to finish catching up on your Blog.

Barb, I can just feel the excitement of getting ready to hit the road and head south. Wish I had a rig, so I could start thinking in that mode too. Ever since I came back from the U.P. this past Sunday, I don't feel a connection to this place and just want to be elsewhere. Really want to head back north again and might for Thanksgiving. I have no ties to this area, so there is really no reason for me to stay here and many people I know have asked me why I keep such a big house for one person.

Red, a name will pop in your head one of these days when you aren't even thinking about it. When I had my truck and TT, my truck was a big red Chevy and I called it "Big Red". The trailer was a Rockwood, so it become "Rocky" or "The Trailer" whichever I preferred at the moment. Mostly it was "The Trailer".

A rainy weekend on tap for us today. Heavy rain this afternoon. So my weekend will be inside, working on craft signs, financial information (have a meeting with my advisor on Tuesday), doing some research on the Proposals on our State Ballot as there are a couple of hot potatoes out there. And also the candidates, so I will be an imformed voter when I hit the polls in November. Am thinking of getting a wood burning set so i can burn some of the letters into my signs for something different. Will see what I do. Also going to practice on making new wood look older as well. Things to keep me busy this winter. And I keep telling myself that i should trace my grandfathers family history back on my dad's side, but never get around to it. Might be hard as he was born way down in Southern IL and back in those days, they didn't keep as good of records as they do now. But I love research and a challenge, so might just get into it.

Well, time is moving along here. Need to get something accomplished. Sign is waiting for wording and need time for the paint to dry etc. Hoping you all have a wonderful and safe day. Dawn, I see the weather in OK looks like it might get a bit nasty today, so keep an eye on the sky and anybody else in areas where severe weather is predicted, keep safe too.

Sue, am definitely keeping an eye on the weather. Severe weather is predicted from 7 this evening until about 2 am. We are now south of Ft. Worth, so we shouldn't get hit as hard as Oklahoma.

Soos, doing happy dance for your refinance. Stay safe as you travel down to spend time with Orion and then back up to pick up your friend for the trip down to Florida.

Barb, my "Brat" is asleep right now. Of course that can change at any moment. Mom is sleeping in and all my dogs are back asleep here in my bedroom after their trip outside earlier. So glad you got all your cleaning done early. How was the Red Lobster dinner last night? Tell Robert he did good all around! I still did not get that spaghetti cooked. Paul brought over some brisket and we had brisket sandwiches for supper along with some more apple pie. Going to start my sauce for sure today around noon so all the tastes have time to meld.

CW called this morning and all the parts are finally in to set Mom's Jeep up to tow. Our appointment is for Wednesday at 11 and then into Thursday. Looks like we will be extending here again for another week. By then will be time to head south to the TX GTG. Will see if I can get my BooBoo fixed in Livingston while at Boot Camp. Looks real classy right now. I have white duct tape on the split in fiberglass to keep it from getting worse. Have one done in a big "T" for Texas. "you might be a redneck if"

Going to go get another cup of coffee. Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning from once again sunny Cottonwood, Arizona!

Beautiful photo, Liz!

I am so enjoying sitting in one place for a bit! Yesterday we went to my 5er in storage to pump up the tires and I did a little tossing and a little packing in preparation for putting it on the market. When you have already done a major downsize, that means only special things are left so I had some wobbly moments as I packed away the few holiday decorations I have - the few photo albums will be next. I'll get over it.

Such a fun time as people are headed South! We will be here until the 21st when we will go to Salome to get LeRoy's truck. Then back here the 24th (if not before) to pick up my 5er.

Safe travels to all on the road and everyone have a good day!

Love those FL sunrises! I will get to see one someday!

Reading about everyone packing up and heading south is giving me the itch too. But it's a good two weeks until I hit the road back to Texas. Too soon to begin packing my van! ;)

Super Nephews have arrived to help Grandpa with more wood splitting. So grateful they are old enough to help now! Don't know yet if DB (dear brother?) will show up to continue work on roofing repair.

Hope y'all have a great day!

A little past morning ..but I cant drink coffee so to me its ok!!
I got my GB's back from Verizon...so good to go now...I was wondering
if maybe some one is stealing my GB's. Not sure if my air stick is pass word
protected.
What a beautiful sunrise. Thanks liz for posting it.
I see alot of you all are headed to FL ...since I am already here...if any of you are having
a mini GTG please let me know I am itching to do something...
Red I too need a name...thinking that maybe after I have used her a while something will pop up.

I have been thinking I might be going to start up crafting again and do some shows, I need some $$$ for play time with" no name yet RV". Sue one way I use to weather wood was to put it outside in the weather for a few months , of course you have to plan ahead...but I just kept some out there in case I needed it. Another way I use to make it look old was "antiquing" it after painting. I used Brewax, hard to find most of the time.
Went to a couple yard sales looking for good used items to put in "no name RV" Found a small like new waste basket. 50 cents. The went to JoAnne's to use my 50% of coupon.
Back at dads now, typing away. I am a morning person so I am out and about early.
Blessings to all and have a great day

Good Afternoon,

Well, I have had a productive morning. I finally got some limbs trimmed that I have been putting off way too long. :) Now, I am tired, but got the job done.

I am bringing my granddaughter, KaitLyn, to my nephew's son birthday party at the bowling alley. The kids should have a good time.

Enjoy your day!
