Compliments on Sign Sue Made for Me

If you remember way back in June, Colliemom, or Sue and I got together in Mackinaw when I was making my farewell to Michigan shakedown cruise in my new RV. She had surprised me with a Campsite Occupied sign, pictured here: http://www.womenrv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8532

Anyway, I wanted all of you to know that I have used in a few times in the last month where I was staying in first-come, first-served campgrounds, and it has really come in handy.

I have also had a lot of people stop by and compliment me on "my" artwork!! Had to admit that it was not my artwork but a friend's. Three people today stopped by, the last ones a couple I did not talk to but who I could see walking up to it and taking a long look! A lot of people have commented on how it was much better than leaving out chairs or some other belongings to show a site was occupied!

Thanks again, Sue!

We keep telling her she could make some money with her camp signs. People love the personalized touch. I bet it has been pretty handy every time you pull out to go dump or fill up with water.

It has been especially helpful now that the season is slowing down and more state and national campgrounds are moving to self-registration and first-come, first-served.

This one is especially nice but they wouldn't have to be so fancy or personalized.

One guy who stopped and got out of his car with his wife even threatened to swipe it!

So much better than a lawn chair! What a fun sign! I wondered how someone who came and went made sure no one "claim jumped" their space.
