Good morning, Seems ages since I have been on, hope you all are staying well and safe. Liz, left yesterday morning, she not only did wonders here in helping me clear out clutter, but left me with ambition to continue on, which I so needed. I called a realtor who came while she was here, now waiting for what he estimates I can ask for this place. So what happens that day ? My water pressure goes down , which means well needs attention, I am so tired of repairs etc. Just eats up gas money !!

I may never catch up with all your news, and I'm sorry if I've missed birthdays and special times, sincerely hoping all is well in your world though. my month attending my GS's competitions , was not as I had thought, be very careful inviting someone whom you think is a friend to travel with you, sometimes sad to say ,they really are not friends and living in close quarters, brings out this fact. I'm so dumb until I received her terrible email I wasn't even aware, did notice she didn't say thanks, but that was ok .

The last week out I also took the dreaded fall, that friends my age don't want. Did not break anything, but I was so sore the last week end of competition and the drive home was more then miresable, I did wonder why she kept insisting she needed to get home when she knew I was hurting so bad.

The competition was great, my GS did very well, won some money, saddle and a buckle. To be in the top twelve in 4 states is great, winning spots in them was Fabulous for this Gram, to be able to be there and see was super. Hey ladies forget me broadcasting pix of him , take my word for it, he is one good looking cowboy

Good Morning! Time for my bi-monthly post. Coffee maker just finished gurgling so it’s fresh and I have some vanilla caramel creamer…help yourself. It’s 19* you might want something hot! I’m on my second day of a four day weekend. Actually I haven’t been in my office since Monday because I spent three days at a trade show sitting in the company booth. I had 6 hours of windshield time so took two hours of annual and stayed home yesterday and it was a depressing day…winterized the camper. Certainly didn’t have a chance to use it much this season. We had hopes of going camping this weekend but the weather was forecasted to be in the 40’s all weekend and mid 20’s at night, so we scratched that idea. Thursday morning while I was working I received a call telling me one of our friend’s dad had died and the funeral is this afternoon. Yesterday Nina called and asked if I would come over and stay with her mother-in law for a couple hours while the rest of the family took care of some of the arrangements and picking up relatives at airports, etc. Ethel is nearly blind and they thought she would be comfortable having me there answering the door for visitors and keeping track of all the food donations. Their church has a very small with an aging congregation (not many able workers) so I’m helping make and serve lunch after the funeral. My bars are in the oven and I still have to make a salad. Hopefully by late this afternoon my good Samaritan deeds for the week will be fulfilled.

So enjoy reading about everyone’s travels, new rigs and life events. Well not all the life events are enjoyable but those of you facing difficult times, please know that I am thinking about you and praying for you. And pictures...how I love the pictures!

Good Morning... I finally got warm during the night... it is such a shock to the system to go from 80s to 30s in one day... I did not even turn the furnace down last night left it at 70... not sure how my body will take the winter here in the cold...
Carol I think I am in a fog... someone that shares YOUR home or rv should be grateful not mean... guess that is what shows us their true colors...
not much happening here... the cold spell should be done by Monday...

CArol, so sorry to hear your travel companion was so mean. I don't get that. You were nice to include her in your travels. At least you did get to see your GS in the competitions. That had to have been really fun for you. I bet he is one good looking cowboy! I certainly understand about your well. My well decided to go out 2 weeks after Chuck passed away. Had to connect to Paul's well and then let Matt, my buyer, know about the problem with the broken pipe. It seemed like every other week, something else decided to quit working while I was waiting for the closing.

dpf, It is really nice of you to do that for your friends.

Kathleen, it is cold here today too. We have had a 30 degree drop in temperature since yesterday. It is 51 right now and supposed to be in the 40's by this afternoon. I definitely turned the furnace and the fireplace on this morning as soon as I got up. It is supposed to warm up by the first of the week again but definitely feels like Fall today.

Not much going on today. Got to get my menus done for grocery trip tomorrow that I did not get done yesterday.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Was awakened this morning by some rude banging outside my bedroom window! Gads, bang, bang, bang then it would stop for a minute and bang, bang, bang again! ARRRRGHHH! I gave up and finally sat up in bed. Scared the crap out of me cause Shade was not in bed with me!!! Talk about getting into position on my soft squishy bed to see out into the trailer. Relief!!! Shade was on the couch. Kelly must have grabbed her to take her out to P and it never woke me up! Kelly was gone. Heard something outside? Lo and behold there was Kelly at the picnic table. Hmmmm? Yesterday she mentioned that she wanted to dump the black tank? So I asked her, "Was that you banging?" "Did you dump the tank?" Yep she did! Sure is good thing she couldn't have read my mind while she was banging and waking me up!!! Well the tank is now dumped and I have put a bottle of RV tank treatment in. No more stinkies!!

The weather is kinda chilly and gray here but no rain. Have no plans what so ever for the day. Gonna be kinda lazy today I guess except for a little cleaning up here. I sure hope the the day gets better for some of the Sistahs and I'm hoping that the other Sistahs have had a good start to their day! Y'all be safe whatever you do.

Good to see you posting, Carol. Don't work too hard.

Cold, wet and windy here this AM. Thirty degree drop in temp from yesterday.

I had such a great time on trip (TN and MS) and visiting with others from forum over past ten days.

Enjoyed a nice restful morning yesterday and had planned to go get rest of "stuff" out of Magic + do a bit of cleaning there. However, Mr Murphy came in and messed up my afternoon. Nothing serious, just annoying. First I got blower out to clear drives and drains. Only got about ten of three hundred feet done when blower died. Took it apart but cannot find anything wrong so it is off to shop for repair (I hope they can fix as I love that model and no longer made). Among other things, think just about everything in house that uses batteries died while I was away - smoke alarms, digital thermostat, cordless phone, and both the Wii remote and balance board along with a few other items. Of course I have batteries around here but not the right ones so looks like I will be doing major battery shopping today. Then I need a very tall person with long arms as I cannot get to one of the smoke alarms. Wonder how long those things chirp to let you know it needs batteries?

Stay warm and have some fun today. I'm off to shop for batteries, tall person and something to throw in a pot for soup.

Chiming in even though it is afternoon already. Want to stay up to date with you sista's...

It was so cold yesterday, I wore my sweatshirt all day. Put the electric heater on in the kitchen area (heats up both directions that way It works great to keep the chill off in the rig. Really don't want to start using the propane heaters till absolutely necessary...wonder when that will be.

Also pulled out my favorite winter blanket and hubby helped me to put it on the bed. He said we didn't need it but saw that the one time I got up in the night he was snuggled under the blanket and comforter so guess he did need it to.

Ron's aunt & uncle are supposed to be here sometime today, only staying for one night as they make their way back to Colorado then ready for their annual trip to McNeal, AZ for the winter. Will be good to see family, if even only for a few hours.

Today is my day off, need to run to the store for a couple of things and then do my receipts for the month of September (and August )

Sounds like most of you are getting settled in for the winter months. We still don't know our plans beginning 1/1/13 - will see what happens here at the campground and where we go from here. It's that being flexible, trusting the Lord and putting one foot in front of the other.

Cold, thunder and rain here in SW Arkansas..ick! Me thinks it's about time to head home to SoCal! Oh wait, can't, still have family to see and things to do before I can head west! Oh well, good thing I brought cold weather clothes with me!

Took a trip to Boonville yesterday to Wallyworld. Nice little old town with a city rv park. $10 a day for FHU's. There was another one in Magazine, same price. Getting close to deer season and a lot of the hunters bring their rigs down to stay while they hunt. I saw a mexican restaurant in Boonville and since I love mexican food thought I would give it a go. Evidently mamacita left town and left her gringo son-in-law in charge. Verde sauce means 2 different things in Arkansas and Cal., but for 6 bucks it was edible. I'll for sure be hitting my favorite place in Perris when I get home for some chile verde. I can make it, but it's to much work for one person. Or maybe a big bowl of green chile stew in Las Cruces on the way home. I need to hit a grocery store there anyway to stock up on Hatch Chile's. Didn't get any when I stopped in Albuquerque.

Carol, sorry you had such a bad experience with your houseguest. Have you figured out what her problem was? I've had guests a couple of times and never had a problem, but it wasn't for that long, only a week.

Kathleen, try and stay warm, sorry you aren't going to make it to Florida this year, I know you always look forward to it.

Just gonna try and stay warm today, one more day of cold and then it's supposed to start warming up. I don't do cold weather well. As my DIL says, I get "gripey".

I slept in to 9:00 this morning, which really felt good. I did a lot of sightseeing yesterday. so today I am staying home, other than maybe taking a nature walk this afternoon. Nice thing about being retired and full-timing is that you don't feel pressured by time to do something "important" each day.

I was also finally able to use my awning today. Other days here, it has been too windy. Today, it is calm, and there are even some wispy clouds, so it will not be so hard on the refrigerator with the sun beating on it.

I am also enjoying PBS today. I have seen so little TV this summer and fall that I glue myself to it when something good is on. Nice to have power and at least a few channels via air. Last night I watched the Great Performances Broadway show "Memphis." Really super!

Tomorrow, I will probably go back into sightseeing mode, but it feels good to just relax today. Might even make some blueberry buckle today since I have some blueberries to get rid of.

We are having a slight dip in temps here in San Antonio this weekend--high of 67 which feels cold to us but it shouldn't last more than a day or two at most. Had to tell the grandkids that it was too cool to swim in the neighbor's pool. They have a standing invitation while they were here.

good morning ladies, its still morning here, at least for another half hour. Been hit and miss on the internet for way too long, makes it too hard to catch up.
Have had enough of inconvenience so have turned my internet back on although I'm still doing research and have found a much cheaper way to go but the
deposit will kill my budget so am waiting on that until the last car payment is made. (only 4 more )
Woke up at 3 am this morning, don't know why but could never get back to sleep so theres a nap in my plans in a little while.
Off to read a bunch of posts and do some catching up. Ya'll have a great day and its good to be back full time.

Good afternoon all, can't believe all the cool weather people are having. Even sarah, just 2 hrs north of me. I think it's supposed to drop some tomorrow, love the changing seasons. The part of Calif I grew up in stayed pretty much the same year round. Went to a exhibition show thing for women and bought a "My Pillow" that you see on tv. I'll give a Pillow report later! Carol, this type of traveling is not for everyone but your friend should have been appreciative and nice! Me and my husband once took a vacation like that with another couple. Dawn, I liked the way you said you turned on the fireplace! Want that in my house! Everyone have a good and most of all FUN and SAFE day. Wendy

GOOD MORNING TO ALL, even though it is now late afternoon. Lots has been going on here today. Late last night, Joe got a call saying his father had been taken by ambulance to the hospital with chest pains. He spent all night there, just got back after a few preliminary tests, and they will now transport him to a bigger hospital in Plattsburgh for a catheterization. The whole family is worried, of course, even though they have been separated and split up for years. Poor Joe is exhausted, as he also has a grandma, his favorite, in a surgery rehab center, and the other grandma in another hospital. The three of them just left to make the rounds before they come back here for supper.

I just discovered that Webshots is now becoming a site you have to pay for, so right after this, I am going on there to download all my photos I have stored on there over the years to a thumb drive so I dont lose them all. These two pics are now from Photobucket, which I will be using from now on, I guess.

Dinah seems fine today, on phenobarbital for epilepsy, with no ill effects from that.

The outside temperature has now dropped to 48 degrees, and is falling as I type. It has rained all morning and afternoon....really nasty weather.

I will take the time to read all the posts later as the kids will be gone for a while----for now.....
