Friday, always "good"

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday, always "good"

A good Friday morning to y'all. Isn't it something that even in retirement, Fridays still have that special significance of "freedom"? Hope y'all have a good start to the weekend! I did accept a teaching job for today tho. Had a great day off yesterday--needed that break! More rain in the forecast for this weekend, so I was glad to get the mowing done late afternoon when the grass finally dried. Made a giant pot of chili from my maters...breakfast???! ...I browsed a few other topics this morning. Still finding it's overwhelming to keep on top of this site if I don't expand beyond Morning Coffee! Missing a lot! However, coffee with y'all starts my day off right! :P Ok, y'all have a great day & be safe always!

Morning Carolb...and everyone ... I've been so busy with Ms Reba I haven't had time to do much of anything else..hence you know me well, my Crock Pot is purring..:)... Ms Reba is doing really pretty good but her appetite "Sucks" big time..and the things she liked..well forget that...so I'm having to (YES) stuff her...there is no way that I can get her to eat on her own enough to keep her strength up..
She's a feisty ole gal and that alone isn't enough... Her incision looks good and her temp shows no elevation..however the eating thing is awful.. I do have a little pred I can give her and I will sparingly..
Last night she did eat a little chicken on her own that I hand fed her... She is drinking water but I only give her a little at a time..and I am putting a little extra zip into the water to help her.. Keep them electrolytes going..
My time is a little confined to her.. I let her walk around and she's even gone out during the day and yep, she likes her PJ's on and I have a diaper that is kind of pinned to her PJ..so not to rub on the incision..
She goes back for removal of sutures on the 14th so if all looks good..then at that time we'll be heading down to Florida..

This has been a rough ride as we all know with our Critters you are so caught up and emotionally on a roller coaster..

BJ, saw that pic of the "new " Kid...so cute and oh boy all that hair again LOL...and I know you can't wait to get that baby in the house...yep, we all do need our critters ...

Barbie, so glad this is the final move for you...Lordy I can exhausted after reading all you've gone through..take pictures ya hear..

Dawn happy to chat with you and know that all things are coming together...Finally...and now you be able to relax ...and we can chat more LOL..yep, Belle and Reba can go at it again.. like harmony..OMG..

Sharlotte..that Savannah has got you all !!..She is such a sweetie even when we chatted she was smiling at me..as I talked with her...

Soos, hope all goes well with your Dentist appoint..was nice chatting if only a couple of words...oooh what's this..just saw on the forum about your Dinah.. those seizures are scarey but I've had my share of older dogs that have had them.. in fact Ms Reba had one and it's been over a year...I was expecting her to maybe have one with this surgery as stress will do that too them a...good thing to have your vet check her out... I'll keep you and Dinah in my prayers..

All the rest of you Sistahs I have to do some reading to catch up... but I will..anyway.. you all have a great weekend and enjoy all around you cause these are such gems..ain't no place like HOME..in the good ole USA...

God Bless
Zeee and Critters 3...

Good morning from LA. We dropped DD at Houston airport yesterday afternoon and headed east. Plan was to drive till we were tired. Took an hour detour up to Coushetta and peeked at the RV resort and casino. A possible candidate for our return trip with the 5ver. Made it to the south side of Baton Rouge last night. A quick dinner, shower and bed at a hotel.

I'm munching on some left over biscuits and cornbread from my Cracker Barrel dinner last night. Yum. Sorry, there is not enough to share. So glad to hear ms Reba is doing well. I gotta pack up and hit the road. We want to stop at CW on our way to MS to pick up some necessary stuff. Hoping CW will be cheaper than the small dealer in MS.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Here is a pic from one of our rest stops.

Morning Carolb, Barb, Red and everyone to follow. As always, I am just having coffee for breakfast but have pancakes, sausage and eggs for anyone who wants breakfast.

Red, I definitely would not go swimming there after seeing that sign. Since we will be wintering mostly in FL this year, I bet I get to see signs like that.

Barb, you just keep that spoon going. Ms. Reba needs you to keep her going. In a day or so, all you'll have to do is hold the spoon up again and I bet she eats like before.

Carolb, glad you had a good day off yesterday. You are so right about Fridays. Up until I quit work to take care of Chuck, I always was glad to see Friday roll around. Still do. I have a hard time keeping up with all the postings now too. If I don't check in several times a day, it sure takes me a while to catch up with them all. Love reading what everyone is doing though.

Got Mom moved back in yesterday afternoon after she and Paul met up with me at this CG. She said the bed would work this morning. Thank goodness because I am not going to buy another sofa. Told her that we could go to Walmart and get her a memory foam topper about an inch to 1 1/2 inches if she wants. That should still fold up with the mattress and bedding. Don't know when we will be leaving this CG. CW is supposed to call me back today with an estimate of what it will cost for the base plate, tow bar and braking system for Mom's Jeep. They will let me know then when they can get that scheduled to be done. I have already got the tire monitors for her Jeep that they are holding for me. They will have to be programmed into my system when they are doing the installation of the towing equipment. Something new for me to learn about. Have not towed with the MH yet. I have towed boats behind the pickups over the years, so hoping this won't be too much different. Just have to remember I have to give myself even more room when changing lanes. I am a little nervous about this. Still get butterflies when starting out anywhere with the MH, but that is getting better. I sure did not like driving in all the rush hour traffic going and coming back from CW the other day. Too many cars wanting to zip around me even when they did not have a lane, just a shoulder. That happened a couple times. Thank goodness I was watching my mirrors and saw the car and pickup about to come around me. It happened when their lane was merging into mine.

It is supposed to turn much colder tonight for the next couple of days so I am going to try to work on getting my menus done for next week and then head to grocery store tomorrow or Sunday. Was going to fix a roast today but forgot to take it out of the freezer last night to thaw so will have fish for supper. If it is raining tomorrow won't have to get out until Sunday for groceries.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Headed for Cousins weekend in a bit - wanted to stop in and say Hi! Dawn - come south to Brazos Bend State Park and you see those signs as well. In fact, Red shouldn't have been surprised after visiting us there.

Can't wait to see pics of Red's new toy.

Darn - forgot all that's going on. Sorry. CRS kicked - it's been a heck of a week.

It is very foggy this morning and hasn't burned off yet. I hate to see that because I have a trip planned to Baton Rouge tomorrow. If I didn't have the kittens to worry about I would go part of the way this afternoon. I had to bring one of the kittens to the vet yesterday. They called this morning and think he has an abscess on his front leg. Hope that's all it is and not a broken leg. I keep them in a big cage at night but let them out on the old carport during the day to play. They like to climb on the lawn mower and thought maybe he fell off the lawn mower. Maybe one of the big cats bit him.

I need to go get my glasses adjusted when I go to town. When I bend over they want to fall off. I'm pretty sure I have an eye appointment coming up this year but can't find the card. Doesn't do much good to make me an appointment a year in advance because I can't keep up with the card.

Red, most Walmarts have an RV section that have basic supplies. I haven't compared prices but I would think Walmart would be cheaper than most RV Supply stores. I needed to replace a florescent bulb in my RV and bought one at an rv store. Later I happened to notice that Lowe's had the same thing a couple of dollars cheaper.

Good Morning from MIchigan's U.P.,

I'm finally on internet service via a restaurant I am having breakfast at, so just wanted to drop in and say hi. Actually I have access to service out where I am staying, but not in my unit. I have to go outside near the main living quarters of the owners for now, till their cable company upgrades the service out that way. It's kind of a dead zone in that area.

Ah, breakfast has arrived. Sausage skillet with scrambled eggs, onion, green pepper, sausage and of course toats. Looks yummy and it is.

Doing aquick skim through this mornings posts, looks like there are some critter troubles out there. Hope nothing serious for any of them. Will catch up with all this when I get back home on Sunday. Also sounds like Barbie has made her final move. Great. Hope you enjoy it as it looks like a really neat place.

My "girls" and I have put a lot of miles on running around up here. The fall colors are spectacular and I have taken pictures, the which of i will post after I get home. It's been beautiful indian summer weather too, highs in upper 60' and 70's. But it came to a grinding halt yesterday with a strong cold front. It's very windy today and only in the mid 40's. They are saying snow for tomorrow here as this is high elevation. I plan to just stay at the resort and let come what may. Not unusual for this time of year here.

So, just checking in and saying hit. Will talk to you all after I get back home. Have a wonderful weekend. Keep all those furry critters hanging in there.

Good morning, sounds like you all are going to have
a great day!! We went to Wickham Park this morning
had our breakfast, and was about to set off down one
of the trails when the sky opened up and almost drowned
us!! So that was the end of that. Came out of no where,
so that also ended the yard sale thing for today. Back home
working on a family recipe paper bag mini album. I might not
be posting much for about a week, I am running out of verizon
GB's. My month will re-up on the 13th.
Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon on this cool, wet day in Branson. Woke to rain this morning and definitely cooler temps. We have to get our little electric heater out of the garage and into the rig. Really don't want to use the propane heaters till absolutely necessary.

Got a phone call from Ron's aunt this morning - they are in Arkansas and coming to see us :P :P :P so excited to see them. Need to print some of my blog posts for Aunt Erma...she doesn't do the computer but loves to read what I write. We will go out for breakfast tomorrow and take them to Billy Gail's!!! The best breakfasts as far as we are concerned here in Branson.

Well it's time to head back to work - just had an egg salad sandwich for lunch.

Glad your mom slept well on the bed couch Dawn. What color Jeep did you guys get?? You know that's what matters.

Have a great day everyone.

It's navy blue with a grey top, Ali. Mom is going to have to get a new cloth top for it in a few months, I think. It will work for us for what we want it for. Nothing fancy.

We have a red jeep w/grey soft top, and a hard top (in WA state which we will get next March when we go home) and the 1/4 top too. We have the roll bars on the inside too and that is so helpful when getting in especially when we are on a slope. Tell her I said congratulations!!!

Mom says to tell you "Thank you", Ali. I sure wish it had worked out for us to make it up there this year. I will keep up where you guys are to hopefully meet up at some point.
