Cheryl (Lynn2) so glad your trip is going so well on the road home. I had to admire your fortitude on the way here. My gosh people have cancelled GTG's for WAY less than what happened to you. And I see you made it over the "bridge over the gorge" ROFL The wind didnt get you and your eyes were open!!!!! I hope (for Lindseys sake). Nice to be enjoying your drive this time. Sounds like you found a great place to stay. Will have to put it on my list of places to remember if I am in the area.

Diana glad you are safely tucked away for the night. Did you make up your mind where you are going HA HA

Marda should be in her Rest area for the night on the way home. We should hear from her tomorrow when she arrives safely.

Beth was venturing into Lassen Park on her way to AZ (however her plans change on a moments notice, heck talk about jello, more like kool-aid plans). What a life.

I made it home with no issues either so I guess we could say this GTG was a success in so many ways. I made some great new friends, weather was awesome, park was great, we had good shade and lots of good food. YUP I am ready for another one.

Home to central CA this evening. So amazing watching the gasoline prices as I traveled south. From $3.89 in Grants Pass this week to a high of $4.69 along Highway 49 in Calaveras county. Unbelievable! Locally at $4.35 so I guess that's good? Parking the van for a few weeks!

Home this morning at 8:45 and spent the rest of the day getting things back in order. Everyone has about said it all; it was such fun I hated to have it end. Looking forward to next year.

Cheryl, what Karen said, I need to repeat - wow, woman! You persevered on the way to the gtg when many, if not most, might have quit - in fact, might have given up on rving totally. Then with all the trips to Les - and you smiled through it all. But what more could you ask for than a group of women who were there to commiserate and smile with you - and I'll be honest, if we hadn't thought it was fixed that last night, I, for one, would have stayed there with you till it was! So glad the return trip is so much better - and want to see pics of that gorge!

Diana, I can't thank you enough for convincing me to go to Lassen. It and Crater Lake are both on my lists of MUST go back places now. I got to hike around the lake by the cg I stayed at last evening - barely beating dark (but you and I did that the other day so you'd have thought I'd have taken a flashlight this time, right? hahaha - nope - had to really hustle at the end!) Today I stopped so many times, but only did the short Devastation Trail - and still spent over 3 1/2 hours getting down that 30 mile road ... so much there to see - and so many trails calling my name for another time.

Yes, Karen, my plans are jello - and today, I should have really stopped way sooner - after an almost hour delay for road construction and all the time in Lassen. But pushed on, and then the forest cg I was going to stop at was CLOSED. How dare they. So I decided to push to Carson City - then the rv lot at the casino was a dump (IMHO) so pushed on and hit dark before finally stopping and PAYING. lol. All this to add the pine trees on Diana's list to my go-to place for tomorrow!

Such fun we had - and can't want to see each and everyone of you again.

Marda, did you have any of the winds Laura had the previous day? I didn't have any yesterday, but had some bad wind late this afternoon. Hope it's gone tomorrow.

I had wind hit me at Eugene and no let up for miles and miles. It was so early I went on into WA. Didn't like the first restarea so went on. Was going to stop at Toutle River restarea and it was CLOSED! Just before dark I stopped near Tenino for the night; only about 11 miles from Olympia.

Hi All,

Mom and I made it home yesterday. Would have posted last night but it suddenly turned off very cold ( it was 19 degrees last night) and had to get the trailer taken care of and get the house warmed up.

I had so much fun meeting everyone and we both can't wait to get together again and hopefully I will have my own rig to bring along. :)

I am glad to see that everyone is making it back to there destinations safely and thanks for a great get together full of laughs, great food, and many new friends.

And you too, Lindsay (Lindsey? Lyndsey?) I loved seeing the relationship you and your Mom have forged. :)

My computer is finally back online-Yeah. A big thank you to each and everyone who was at the gtg. What a special group of ladies. Such encouragement. I learned so much from the group and totally enjoyed myself even if I didn't get to kick back as much as I would have liked. Special thanks to Laura for planning it and posting it. I had no idea they existed. Seriously, time to get out more can't imagine a better start.
I loved seeing the different rigs and learning pros and cons. Beth, still working on the converter/inverter concept. You were all so generous with your time and your willingness to answer questions. (I still have a bunch!)
I'm glad all are at or near your destinations safely. I can relate to those who encountered wind. I did also and it is not fun.
Joan, I'm sorry I missed your leaving I didn't realize you were leaving Tues. Lindsey is now busy looking for a collapsible tea pot.
Couldn't believe it was time to leave as I was coming home I was so not ready to stop. Of course, the fact that it was down in the teens at nite didn't help. Karen, FYI, it was 17 degrees last night. You have to wait until it warms up. I'll post pics of the tree side of town. :D
If any make it to Baker City let me know you are most welcome, rv or not, I have plenty of room.
Best to all

Cheryl, I thought I sent you and Lindsey a pm but it looks like it didn't go through. I enjoyed meeting you both. I hope you enjoy your new rig. Tell Lindsey that I got the tea pot on amazon. Also tell her I am in training for ladder ball. Next time we meet, I will be prepared.

Take care and stay warm.
Hanging out in Oregon.

my thoughts exactly cause I didn't find any shots of turkey carving :D  sure is a fat turkey, was my very first thought
