Wet Wednesday AGAIN!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet Wednesday AGAIN!

Postby carolb » Wed Oct 03, 2012 5:18 am

Good morning! :D Yep, rain again here, except it's to be a warmer day--in the 70's...NOW, I was so happy, Alice, to get the link to fix my laptop! However, I downloaded a "kit," & it said it wasn't compatible for my Windows version. :( I'll try a different one another time, as I'm having coffee now, enjoying the posts from yesterday, & soon to get ready for another stand-in teaching job. Soos, plans for this coming weekend? I'm still thinking I'll get on the road for the 7th & 8th. An advance notice--I'll call this wkend to see how that works for yew.... A new place & new kitty for Barbie! Exciting news :P Y'all have a great day! :D Be safe wherever yew are!

GOOD MORNING CAROL, KATHELEEN AND ALL!

Carol, if my kids are over their colds by this weekend, my daughter, her guy, and Orion, my grandson, will be coming for the weekend to celebrate Orion's first birthday on the 7th! But that doesn't mean I can't have a visitor! I'm just not sure how much time I might be able to make for a grand tour of the area, but you could certainly use my truck to explore on your own. I would love to meet you!

I am thinking about Ms. Reba and Zee today, as well, Kath. Let's send tons of good healing power their way.

The day has dawned grey, soggy, and cool again at 54 degrees. I will be very happy to see some sun, although they are saying it is forecast to warm up and thundershower---ACK!

I am making slow progress cleaning out cupboards here in the house kitchen and bathroom, and yesterday I managed to get all my movies out to take to get digitized. I tackled the spice cupboard, and this morning I will replace all the spices and stuff that need to get stored in there. I also released two mice to the woods yesterday morning, and am hoping they can make it out there in the big world.

Gotta get moving here----hope you all have a good day doing something special as well as something useful and fun!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

After a couple of soggy days here the sun is out this morning. Glad to hear Barbie is getting moved into her new apartment and expecting a new kitty to keep her and Lola company. I'm sure it will feel good to have a place all their own with no roommates.
Not much on the agenda here today, my DH has been having problems with his iPhone so I may take it in to the AT&T store, unfortunately the closest one now is in the next town as they closed the one in our mall. I hope some of the people from here transferred, they were super nice. I downloaded several books from Amazon to my phone last night, I love the list they have of the top free 100 best sellers so I may be tempted to curl up and read.
I tried to turn the refrigerator off in Elsie but the switch must be broken, it's in the off position but still showing the propane is on. I called the RV place and they suggested turning off the propane at the tank, of course I can't turn the knob, seems stuck so need to get DH out there this morning when he gets back from the gym. Seems like I had a lot of little things happen recently, found out the shower and the Fantastic Fan fan didn't work while at the TN GTG. I have an appointment to take it in next week so my list may be longer by then. :(
Hope everyone has a good day, I better go check to see if there were any big winners in Tunica!

The puppers and I are finally settled back into following our own schedules. They missed a trip to see their friends at the nursing home last Friday because of the weekend company that started arriving Thursday night. (But since they did get to participate in the "reading to dogs" program last night at the library they are clean and ready to go anywhere.) When family comes in from out of town I know better than plan things for us to do because they always have their list of people they want to see and places they need to go. So I try to make myself available to a dinner or side trip around the plans they put together. That does mean that sometimes I am just sitting... waiting to see when they would wake up or when they would get back... We had some nice visiting along the way though. My son finally went through the last tub of his that had been sitting up stairs untouched since he flew off to San Fran after college. I suggested that after 10 years all "storage units" need to be reexamined. As I suspected, all items in the tub were not museum worthy. :) My stepsister did finally make it through the tubs and photo albums that I had put aside for her to sort from clearing out the assisted living apartment. There is now a much smaller stack of furniture and boxes waiting to be shipped the NYC.

The tub full of my step mother's travel albums went to the throw away pile......remind me to clear the hard drive before I pass....it will save the children the effort. I did glance at her Alaska album....and recognized some of those mountains and rivers... :)

So I have a short stack of "Thank You" notes to write in response to cards I received and donations that were submitted in my step mother's name....and I am off to hit some more high lights on my own to do list......

I am not able to run away from Ohio at the moment but will need to soon just to keep the dust off the rig.

Everyone take a deep breathe and have a day full of discoveries and adventures in whatever lands you are journeying through at the moment...mind, body, or spirit......

I want to be in that hot tub too! I love soaking in a hot tub or hot bath :P

Made one of my daughters favorites for breakfast this AM.....lox and bagels :P With coconut flavored coffee!

I'm going crazy. Daughter leaves tomorrow and we leave as well to go take delivery on our new Montana 5ver. I am running around trying to bag up what we'll need for the first few days with our new cream puff!! Sheets, pillows, towels, etc. basic stuff only. Well spend the first night just a mile from the dealer. Then who knows where we'll be after that. I am so excited and scared stiff at the same time.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

Good morning, everybody! Yes, I know it's not really morning -- but the library got a book I've been waiting for, and I was up all night reading. Gracious, I LOVE being retired! :D

It's still morning in a lot of the country. I have a full-hookup site, so spent yesterday cleaning, doing laundry, getting my old laptop fixed by Dell, doing laundry, and working on my online class.

I still have a lot of class work to do, so I am staying put today also. On my way out tomorrow, I will get my propane filled and get a tank of gas using my kids Safeway code. Also, hoping to get a dozen bagels at Einsteins, assuming I can find a place to park nearby. Will have to call them. Then I will be on my way to Cottonwood, AZ, and Dead Horse Ranch State Park for a few days. It seems to be cooling off a bit in Phoenix, so I'll head down there sometime at the end of next week.

I also really, really need an RV wash, but have not found any place where they will allow me to do it myself or a truck wash big enough to drive it through. Maybe on my way out tomorrow. This desert dust is making me feel dirty and affecting my asthma. Can't help it I guess.

Hated to do it, but I just closed the windows and turned on the AC. Too many vehicles coming and going in this place, kicking up dust. I started coughing which was a sign to close the windows. Probably need to clean the air filter on the AC unit today also.

Boy, I sure could use a hot tub today! And tonight!
Just taking a break from moving stuff to the new apartment. It is a beautiful day, sunny and around 80! Had to put shorts on cause I was getting too hot.

The view from my new balcony of the lake is to die for! I will be spending a lot of time out there right up until the snow flies!

I met one of my new neighbors (lives across the hall). His name is Shawn and he is cute, single, friendly and has two cats, one that looks a lot like Lola. We chatted for awhile and he is really nice. Did I mention cute???

I better get back to work...still lots to move. Then there is cleaning, unpacking, etc.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon from Branson.

Have had a semi busy morning here at the campground. Don't know why but I continue to feel discombombulated...thinking I may need to go see the doc. Just feeling a little off and so tired all the time. I do plan on picking up some Vitamin B complex and some iron...wondering if my anemia is back.

The weather here is beautiful...nice cool mornings, sunny afternoons and staying nice enough to sleep with our windows open.

Don't know much else. But just wanted to check in.

Take care all. And waiting for news on Ms. Reba.

We are hoping to hit Dead Horse around Christmas this year. If you take any pictures, will you post them somewhere? And I may be picking your brain after your stay.
