Holy Hannah.. It really is Monday, and dang it's morning too !...Where did the weekend disappear too..and I was really enjoying the company.. Yes ma'am I done had a visitor..as I told ya..wasn't sure but it did pan out..and true to her name GentleLadyBear (Nan) done did arrive..well sort of... I mean I got a call she was crossing over 301 and I was like excited and said, "Ok, I'll meet ya at the gate" and just like that we hung up and I hustled out the door and into my Grape Machine and through the golf course I done got up to the gate...and sat and waited..with baited breath...and waited and waited... I thought I saw her go by...but wasn't sure..and thought ok, she'll be here soon...mmmmmmmm after a bit I done figured it out.. She was lost..yeppers..Tom Tom and all..(don't march to that beat of a drum ) so I looked down and nope I didn't bring my cell phone..holy banana...so I turned around and spoke to the Guard (Security is great here ) and asked him nicely... "Please iffn' Gentleladybear happens to arrive ...have her wait I'll be right back "...oooooooh smoke that thing.. and in a golf cart you can only go so fast..and wouldn't ya know it...the golf course had many playing..uh huh..so I dashed through the woods..and got to my house... and low and behold a message on the phone... Uh Zeee, I think I'm lost..heading into Leesburg ..if you get this message call me back...LOL... So I did...and she was back at the gate waiting on me now..LOL she figured it out...hahahahaha..so again I go through the golf course and them same golfers givin me them evil eyes..cause I have to wait as they Tee off..hahahaha are you kidding.. I'm on a mission...zooooooooooooooooom hahahaha.... Well finally got up to the gate and met up with dear Nan.. and was I happy to see her..we both laughed and she followed me through the woods..LOL pulled in and set up... by the way... that class B she has is Ideal.. fit right in and that would most likely be something I would definitely consider down sizing too... Now for the rest of the story...well.... I'll let Nan give her side of it..LOL...Oh but one thing ..I'll fess up here...never ever proclaim to be a "great cook"..cause when you least expect it...It will bite ya in the ASP..!!! How do I know... I performed the best of the best... I did Pork and Sauerkraut in the Pressure Cooker ( has always came out great) Looked good..smelt great but ooooooh my oooooooh my..it was the worst ... the pork was so dry that this pig must have been on a starvation diet.. it was that bad.. So from now on.. I'll keep my big mouth shut...LOL and stick with Italian dishes LOL.. but I have to tell ya..Nan was such a lady...she attempt to get through it... LOL and that was after she met the crew... I mean her look at my litter of critters..she loved Reba and Joe..and Abby too...but when she met Zeke...well I'll let that story be told by her too...LOL ooooooooh my what a weekend......oh and pictures..now I was hostess so ask the company...LOL....

Now, what's my sista's been up too.....

Ah I see another Newbie (NOT) Pooker...I should have known ..when I saw Sharon come on in that Pooker wasn't far behind...LOL So great to have you with us... You'll find this smooth and easy and very, very enjoyable..It's like the music ..easy listening too..with lots of neat additives...the spices of life ..the enjoyment of friendship..that has developed very close and like the knight of the round table..One for All and All for One...You'll see..but so happy to have you all with us AGAIN !!

Avalen (Ava) I'm so sorry to hear that news about your brother.. and yes, he certainly is added to our prayer list... Lately I've heard of several people I've met having this type of Stroke.. Do keep us all informed.... God Bless

Liz... Jacquie Lawson...she's an amazing artist and animator..Some day I hope I'm half as good as she ... I have a group of Artist friends that have known her...and also do such amazing work...it's awesome to watch..and if ya ever knew how many frames and speeds that is... you'd all gasp..putting each one into each frame and getting right motions... just amazing... Thanks really neat.. (Some day I'll get there LOL )

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill ) as parents you always expect to out live your children..but faith has it's twists and turns... I can only offer you prayer, and a hug and support as we sista's share our love to you both.. I know I can speak for us all... We are always here for you !! We love your stories and can actually tell by how you put them words on the screen...what a day has been and what's next in your life...You and Bill are an adventurous pair.. take us along all the time...

I done dropped my coffee pot as Nan was sitting at my table..went through withdrawls..and we had to immediately.. (I'm not kidding ) go to Ace hardware..and buy another Coleman Perk Pot...ain't that right Nan oh and my cubbard was bare .. I had no biscotti...but I did have other goodies..well I had to whip them up in the morning LOL... being's I'm up before light itself..

Any how I want to thank you both... I know I can leave my kitchen and you all will take good care that all have a place to sit and goodies to have...

Speaking of which... I'm dawg asp tired..Joe got up a tad bit earlier and I knew if I didn't post now... I'd be in slumber land and over sleep..cause when I can... I like that cozy atmosphere...Yes, I can lay down with the best of them....LOL

So, now I can get my coffee pot on and that takes 19 minutes to get the perk I want then 4 minutes to brew..then pour me another cuppa ..and ooh I have some goodies... that we didn't even get too...Cinnamon Buns, Orange Buns.. Cinnamon bread..oooooh and I have Banana Nut,Blueberry bread in the oven as I type... I looked over and my bed is covered with critters... yikes wonder if I could squeeze in...mmmmmmm

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

This must be the morning of getting up early? I had planned on sleeping in just a little bit this morn. Nope didn't work out...Woke up and just had to do a potty run at 5am. Laid there for as long as I could but then at 5:15, Shade started to add her morning tease of 'get up Mom, I got to go check the yard and P'. So here I am. I'm actually working on a 2nd cup of coffee here and wishing that I was still in bed. Gonna be a long one at work today what with getting up earlier than usual and getting a little less sleep.

Beautiful bird and a little snow this morning in the artwork. Saw a few of them sitting out in the trees in the back yard yesterday. I don't know what the heck ya call 20 or more Cardinals all flocked together? But I get them out back all the time. Here in the neighbor's back yard this past spring is the first time in my life I had ever seen that many all at once. I was just amazed. And it was both males and females. Makes me smile just thinking of them all together. The males so flashy in the bright color and the females elegant in their muted reddish brown.

Yep got Sharon and Evie both almost at the same time. Oh boy watch out for those wild rides!!! So glad to see them both here.

As to different jobs??? I'm waiting on word, haven't heard anything more since the last time. But now that the first of the year is banging on the door Kelly and I need to be making plans. Either new jobs or to start scouting out a new place to live so that we can move out of here when the kids move. But right now we're kinda in limbo on the knowing for sure one way or the other.

Got a new coloring book for work, it's awesome. Had to go get Kelly her own supplies for coloring on Saturday. Went to ToysRus and while they had crayons they didn't have squat for coloring books. Tried Books-a-Million, nope. Ended up getting her's at the Dollar Tree store. But I bought one at ToysRus. It's a thick one of Tinker Bell of course, seems to be about the only one out there. I'm not really interested in Thomas the Tank or in The Train Who Could. sheesh. But this book also has stickers in it. We have a gal at work who is a fanatic over fairies and I am gonnna take some of the stickers and put them on her computer up there!!! I can just hear her now. LOL

Ok it's time to go check out my email and get my comic fix this morning. Hmmm Just might catch a micro nap right here at the table. Oh I guess I'll fill up my cup first and grab some of that banana nut bread first!! I couldn't help myself, I lllooovvveee that stuff.

Good Morning Everyone. Yep drove right down to see Zee, right past the entrance, then back past the entrance then into the wrooong location. Lady there was nice, offered me her parking lot to reorient myself. grabbed that laptop out, set up went online and looked up the address. Yep next entrance up the line. Got the gate, guard was nice, sat there and talked to him until Zee came zooming back across the golf course, golfers waving their clubs. You know golfers get so testy. But Zee has a great set up for visitors, plugged right in, water connected and went in to meet the crew. Zeke is BIG, you sit he looks you in the eye. Reba is a darling she is a very loving dog. Don't have the time this morning to post pictures, but will get them on when I get home from work tonight. The area Zee lives in is beautiful, lots to see, lots to do. The pork and sauerkraut was good, I ate it and enjoyed it, but the chili was wonderful, and she showed me how they make cornbread in Mississippi, now that was a treat. Believe me the Expresso chocolate cake is the best. She made blueberry, banana nut bread one morning. So I have truly enjoyed Zee's kitchen complete with perked coffee. Then on Saturday night we were off to Karaoke, I sat on the back of Sharon's golf cart hanging on for dear life, she was zooming along. We had a great time, will never forget the song "Foot Loose" again. Had a new meaning of that song placed on me.

So hang in there tune back in late today and I will post pictures.

Awww, I'm so glad you got together Zeee and Nan! It sounds like you two had a grand time. Reports like that make me wish I was closer to have joined in the fun.

Good Monday morning to all
One more week off and still lots to do this week. Daughter is headed out of town
this am to help a friend drive to Clarksville TN, will have to look that up on the
map. She will be flying back. Gonna take advantage of her big washer and dryer
with my big blankets and rugs while she's gone and her BIG bathtub,
I can make the water really deep and really stretch out and soak. Ahhhh, I can
feel it already. Will bring her little Shasta over here for the week, Bandit went
to my friends house for 3 weeks, so it will be a little challenging this week for
sure. Gracie and Shasta grew up together but Pixie has never met her, hope
all goes well, do have a kennel to put one in if need be.
Have updated my post on my brother and talked to my sister again. She definately
wants to see the Grand Canyon while she's here and wants me to ride along. I said
"But it will be COLD up there" and she said "put on a coat!"
So the rain has finally stopped and after a frosty morning the temps are finally
coming back up. The next few days will be in the 60's so definately gonna be out
getting more yard work done.
Getting the Christmas tree and stuff put away today so I will have my livingroom
back. Thats about it from me.
Enjoyed your red cardinal Barbz and so glad you had a nice visit with Nan. Will be
watching for her pictures later on. I'm off to catch up on new posts.

Ava, just be sure and go to the SOUTH Rim of the Grand Canyon, because the North Rim shuts down from the end of October and isn't open again until May 15th. They close the road from Jacob Lake. As 15 to 18ft of snow is normal, and a couple of years ago there was 22 feet, you can understand why its not open.
Barb, glad you got to meet Nan, doesn't she have the prettiest smile you ever saw?

Good-morning All, Well I am back from my friends in Tn., now to catch up on all the news here. Which if the other areas are like this with all the red, will take some time.

I love the picture this morning, Zeee. What a bright bird, and fits with the morning here, we are going to have Sun today, for a while at least as its out now. We haven't had Sun in sometime. Need it on a Monday !! I have loads to catch up here and the Sun gives me ambition, which I sometimes lack

What a nice surprise you had with your visit with Nan, looking forward to the pictures later.

Well, I'm off to clean my kitchen floor and run the vacuum through here, jobs I dislike very much. why I need the sun shining in

Good morning, posting late but really did get up earlier than this. Love the pictures of the Cardinal - last winter we always made sure they had food out on the back deck. They are so beautiful against the snow. One female flew into the window and broke her neck. We took her in to see if we could help. Couldn't. The male kept walking the deck calling her for a week or so.
The wind is still blowing here - getting really sick of it. Had a shock yesterday - heard a roaring and looked out the window - flying up the road was a yellow ATV - the guy on it with a black helmet, plaid shirt, jeans and desert boots. I almost called out JOHN! Kind of hope they don't stay here long. Today is the 2nd anniversary of his accident.

Mornin' ladies! I had a funny thing happen this morning. My DENTIST called & had an opening and did I want to have my teeth cleaned today? Why, YES! I've been traveling a lot ... and gosh. I've just let that slide. Isn't that wild?

And a friend called and offered to come over and fix my snow-blower. Life is good!

I've been busy all morning cleaning the screens on the pool cage with a bleach solution to get the green off. As I was scrubbing and scrubbing, and rinsing and rinsing, I imagined what it would be like to be strolling on that beach in TX instead...hmmm

Being a golfer myself, I would have laughed my head off at the crazy lady on her golf cart...... but truly understand the dirty looks you were getting.....the old guffers don't like being interupted while hitting that little white ball..... Yes, and which was it....I want to know, too....was the pork good or not.... And did Zee sing at the Karoke ??

The sun is shining today, but it's still a little chilly for this part of Tx.....58F right now.....Ernie went to the bait place to get some squid for fish bait....may try to go fishing this afternoon....

Okay, back to waiting on the FedEX guy for the ice machine replacement.....the old one quit making ice right before Christmas....heaven forbid Ernie doesn't have his own ice and has to go buy some.....
