Good morning Ladies...Having my coffee & waiting patiently for some of yo- to join me :) So I've been reminiscing ...Another month almost checked off the calendar for this year. Seems like it was only yesterday that I joined y'all for morning coffee, remember reading the post for the FIRST Sat of Sept. Went back to re-read several, and find that I've made some very fine friends--caring, compassionate, and comic friends! Also feeling more comfortable and have spent more time exploring other posts in GT, GTGs (those ladies are having a great time this weekend!), Pets... Yep, a great gang of ladies, & can't wait to get to FL to meet several of yo-! .... Dawn, I'm so happy that mom got o-t for the day, even tho Pa-l ret-rned a bit frazzled!!! Zeee, I may have to stop reading yo-r posts if yo- contin-e to write abo-t those delicio-s meals and treats yo- make! I gain weight j-st reading abo-t them  And on & on, the posts that have tr-ly made me LOL, have lifted my spirits for the day or have t-rned my tho-ghts to cheerishing the little things in life. Really, I want to say that yo-'ve all added to my life, so thanks! 8-) Raining this morning, hopef-lly it will stop and dry off so I can mow. Finished with the harvest of maters, now to start other fall yardwork. Not taking any overnight this weekend, & I can feel myself having anxiety/withdrawals after doing so for the past 4 weeks. Think my next trip will be to connect with Soos, who is certainly having a great time at the Bl-e Grass Festival this weekend! ANd I hope ALL of yo- (or y-all, which req-ires no "yew") are waking this morning with a smile on yo-r face, joy in yo-r heart, and safe wheels beneath yo- as yo- travel the crazy road of life! (Philosophizing again--can only be the waxing moon  )

Good mornings Carolb and everyone to follow. I am having some mocha coconut flavored coffee watching the rain. Suppose to rain all day today and part of tomorrow. I'm going to make chili cheese omelette for DD and me. DH doesn't like eggs. I can't believe Sept just disappeared. Does anyone else feel like the years go by faster as we age??? It sure seems that way. Next moment we'll be singing Christmas carols. :P

Totally agree that this forum is filled with the best women around. Warm, funny and compassionate. I really look forward to my morning coffee with y'all each every morning :P We were suppose to leave today to go take delivery of our new 5ver. But Mr. Murphy came for a visit. We delivered the truck yesterday to have the hitch installed. We were already home when the installers called to tell us that when they opened the sealed box from the factory there were 2 left bars and no right bars. So the earliest we will be able to get the hitch is Mon or Tues. :(

So, today we are heading over to a huge indoor shooting range...big enough to shoot rifles indoors !! A good way to get rid if some of the frustration from this ordeal of buying a new truck and RV in the same week!! Last night DD and I loaded ammo into clips while watching TV. DH cleaned the guns. (I will probably just watch DH & DD. neck and head still sore.) Never in a million years would I have ever pictured myself married to someone other than DD's father, living in Texas, loading ammo while watching TV and traveling in an RV. Life is full of surprises. Wanna make God laugh? Tell her your plans :P

Everyone have a great day and make it a safe one at that!!

Morning Carolb, Red and everyone else,

Yep, I totally agree with you Carol. Great bunch of compassionate, caring and fun ladies in this group. Although I am without a rig right now, they don't care. There are a number of us without rigs right now. But just being in the group, reading about everybody's experiences, sharing laughs, cry's, trials and tribulations, bouts with Mr. Murphy or just out having fun, makes it all worth while and make me also want to meet a lot of you and eventually get me back on the road as well. This Morning Coffee is now my Morning Fix. I miss it when I can't get on here.

Red, sorry to her Mr. Murphy came callling, but at least it's a minor thing. When I started reading about them opening the box, my first thought was they had the wrong hitch. A couple of bars missing will set you back, but not for long. You will be able to get that 5er and hit the road before you know it. Although Mr. Murphy has a habit of messing up things, sometimes there are reasons we don't understand at the moment, but turn out for the good afterwards.

Just finished up some bacon and eggs for breakfast here. Protein you see. Now having a glass of water. Will be getting cleaned up and ready to head to town in just a bit here. Farmer's Market day and i want to go get some nice big juicy tomatoes to take along on vacation. Yummmmm. Also a quick run to store, Hobby Lobby and then to the car wash to vacum the wagon out.

House is cleaned, last load of washing is in the washer and when that's done, I will do the dog beds. Just need to finish up the packing, wash the wagon, start loading some stuff in, then finish the rest in the morning. Will put another coat of paint on the boards that I am taking along to make a couple of Fall Welcome signs while I up there. Rainy day and even project.

So it's time to get moving here. Hope to be on the road by this time tomorrow. Going to really enjoy being back on the road again especially with mom nature painting the landscape various shades of color. Will of course have to make a few "p" stops for Ms. Tessa and of course myself as well, plus stop to fuel the tummy too. Gosh, I can't wait.

May be a while before I get back on here depending on my internet connection up there. So keep th home fires burning or maybe I should say the campfires. Have a great weekend and stay safe everyone.

GOOD MORNING CAROL, AND ALL!

It's very dark here this morning, too, and cold and rainy. Everyone is still locked up in their RVs so far, trying to stay warm and dry. The day's bands begin playing at 1:00 pm, and run until 9:00 tonight. Yesterday's concert was successful, even in the on-and-off rain showers and cold wind all day long. There is a covered grandstand seating place here at the fair grounds which saved the day for many of us. The so-called star band of this festival, the Gibson Brothers, have two sessions today, as well as some great bands from yesterday including Dave Nichols and Spare Change. Today is actually a bit warmer, so far, as the wind hasn't picked up yet....but the temperature is hovering at 54.

I found the great tie-dyed T-shirt stand yesterday where I bought several great shirts in Allburgh a few years ago. Their dyes do not run nor fade over thousands of washings, and I really love their choce of colors and designs. I also had one of them printed with the First Plattsburgh Bleugrass Festival logo and the bands present.

Richard, Jack and I went to the B and B Saloon again last night to join in the after-concert revelries. Issy decided to come back here and sleep under my arctic sleeping bag as she had gotten chilled to the bone the night before. After a couple of beers and some dancing, we came back here and crashed in our rigs.

Today will be one to dress in many layers topped by a raincoat, with gloves, if we are lucky enough to have them. Even the dogs are inside this morning after their morning breakfast and bathroom routine. Mad dogs and Englishmen aren't even out there today!

Hope everyone is doing fine and having some better weather than we are right here. We won't get to see that full harvest moon tonight unless we have a miraculous clearing of the cloud cover. Take some pics for us if you are lucky enough to see it!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Got the rain here as well. But we need it. Of course this could have been the weekend for me to go camping but I read the forecast. So I decided to stay home and scrap.

Sue - hope you remember to take pics on your trip. The UP is still on my list. I'm putting together a presentation for my cousins of the plans for family reunion, so I'm reliving my last trip to MI. So much fun. Although I think I'm missing some pics - need to pull out another camera's card. Yes, I have multiple cameras so hopefully, I will always have one. Doesn't always happen though!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Have been up a little over an hour. I really need to get up off my duff and get a coffee refill. :) Temp outside is 64 and suppose to get into the mid 70's. Tonight it will go down in the mid 50's. Suppose to rain here today too. Am so loving the cooler weather! At least now I can sit out at the picnic table and enjoy being outside while reading my book. Shade is enjoying getting out of the house too!!! Yesterday and today the neighbors cat has been over here visiting. Shade gets all excited when she sees it. She loves cats!! Thankfully the cat is well use to small dogs and is not the least bit fazed by Shades joy at finding something her size. Actually the cat is bigger than Shade so she would be in big trouble if the cat were to take exception to Shade's greetings!

Well to all intent and purposes I am still not working. Now the doctor has given me a wrist/hand brace to wear. It's really to immobilize my thumb. What a pain to wear that thing. I took it off last night before going to bed and to tell the truth my thumb ached like crazy. Gads it hurt!!! I am still technically able to go back to work but again there is nothing at the restaurant for me to do, so here I sit. I have another appt with him at the end of October. Went over to the park when I was done with the doc to drop off paperwork to safety but neither of the ladies that are in charge of it were there. "They" had already left for the day. I also stopped in to payroll to get a copy of my last paycheck, going up that huge flight of stairs about did me in. And then I screwed up and only got a one copy of my last check. I needed copies of my last two checks so that I can mail them in. Also after I was done there I was just to wore out and tired to walk over to the restaurant to check in. So when I go to my doc's appt at the parks clinic I will need to go back to safety, payroll and over to the restaurant. Fun, fun, fun! NOT! A little more on that later on elsewhere!

Nothing much on my agenda today other than doing up dishes and some cleaning. It sure needs it here! We went and got some groceries and Kelly hasn't put them away so I guess I will. Also bought a new paper towel holder as the old one is wore out, so will be swapping them today. Other than that? Just nothing much going on today.

I am really looking forward to the full moon tonight! Love full moons!!! Had been told for years that there was a lady in the moon? I finally seen her early one morning while driving the dump truck in Maine and that has only added to the fascination I have for the full moon. I think I will go out tonight and stand under the full moon and take a moon bath? Maybe do a little moon dance? Have always had that fascination about the moon and have always believed that it was magical!!!

OK, enough it's time to go read and maybe catch up. And yeah I agree with how time flies. The older we get the faster it goes. I sure do hope that I remember to yell "RABBITS" this time around!!! I could sure use some good luck for a change! :| Hope ya'll have a great day all the while staying safe too.

Those in the northeast? I envy you all the colors that you are seeing right now. Soos when doing the concert thing and festival thing in rainy chilly weather like you are doing? I use to love using a poncho. I would have my rain pants, boots and a poncho. With a poncho I could carry other things under it and keep them dry, even a small blanket or pillow to sit on. :D

And as to this being a kind, compassionate and loving group??? You will never again find a group of women as wonderful as this one. I have first hand knowledge just how great they are. XOXOXO

Love to all

good morning ladies
well this month certainly went by fast, and before I know it I'll be eatin turkey. Can only imagine this thanksgiving will be a big one cause of course
there will be a new baby in tow, and more relatives will come out of the woodwork.
I was really looking forward to some cooler weather this weekend but guess its not gonna happen, its now predicted to be 103 tomorrow.
Have the washer goin as usual for my saturday mornings but I'm planning on doing some more painting today. Life is changing quickly for me lately.
Really discovered how easy it is to do without paying for internet, and lately also not having cable tv. But actually I'm struggling a little over not having
cable tv cause my converter box is really not doing a very good job at pulling in the free channels. I'm seriously considering calling cox cable. They
have a basic plan for $17 for 3 months (50% off) then for 3 more months its 25% off. After 6 months you pay full price but by then I should be back
in my rv and setting up new routines for myself. Its a thought anyway, cause money isn't the issue, the issue is discovering what I can do without. ;)
Well, better get this posted before the internet signal gets too weak to send. Ya'll have a great day and have fun at whatever your doin.

Good morning .... just ate our breakfast at Wickham Park here
in Melbourne FL. I like to go out this time of the day (coolest) if you
can call 79 and muggy cool. Anyway I eat picnic breakfast when it
is hot like this... and besides I need to get out of the house. Going to
cook today so I will have my "fast food" for the rest of the week. Still
thinking about a couple days camping somewhere local...Im afraid I might
like it too much. lol

Good afternoon all as the clock on computer says it is 12:01 pm. Not much happening here. Looking for vehicle that meets the right curb weight, can take a class 3 receiver for Mom's chair lift and is towable 4 down. Looks like the Honda CRV fits all categories. Going to go to CarMax on Monday as they have one in Mom's price range and she will trade in her Kia since it cannot be towed 4 down. We spent most of yesterday afternoon at a dealership that kept trying to find us something that would work. The salesman had no idea so I had to keep looking up the various models on my phone as he went through their inventory on the lot.

Been outside standing in the rain since the dogs acted like they wanted to go out. They didn't like being in the rain either so all they wanted to do was turn around and go back into the rig. It was funny watching Rascal. He stayed on the gravel because he hates wet grass. After a few minutes, getting damper by the minute, I decided they weren't going to do anything but look longingly at the door and we came back in.

I think today is a great day to just watch TV and knit. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe especially since most everyone this morning has been talking about it raining.

I just got back from Lafayette a little while ago. The Junior League was having their annual craft show and I wanted to go to that. After I got through doing what my boys wanted it was pouring down rain so didn't go. I don't know why I go to craft shows anyway, about all I buy is food.

We have rain all around us so will probably be getting more tonight. Yesterday I decided to walk to the end of the road. When I got almost to the end it started raining. I was real cute when I got back to the house and I had my cell phone in my pocket. It got a little damp but I got it dried out. I don't think I will try it today. Maybe I can just walk up and down in front of the house.

I really did like the Honda CR-V when my son was looking for a car. I think he was afraid I would want to borrow it to tow if he got one. That might be my next car when my van falls apart. I just hate to give up my van.
