Decisions, decisions. Sneak in a day early or wait for the caravan?

Was winning here at the casino, but gave the winnings back last night. Spending today with friends. Will decide tomorrow.

Hello to all;

Daughter (Lindsey) and I headed out Sat. As maiden voyages go it has had a little of everything and more. Got out of Baker to the top of the first long grade and pulled over at the summit to let dogs out and check things over. Smoke coming from back of TV. New brakes locked up. So long story short. Dropped RV, dragged TV 40 miles back to town waiting for flames. Shop who installed brakes readjusted them. Took two hours for them to cool off enough to work on. Hooked back up and headed out again. Going down the back side of the mtn. soon realized they had backed them off too much and I bottomed out by brakes and only just slowed us down. Umm-VERY interesting ride down the hill. Now we are in the mtns. down hill no matter which way we go. Bless this forum, I remember reading something Beth wrote last week to another newbie about not using her brakes if she can avoid it. So dialed up the trailor brakes hard, put the pickup in low gear and went slow. Long day but made it to Prineville OK. Then to Grants Pass on Sunday.

Beth - Come camp outside Portland with Kari and me on Wednesday night, then hook up with the caravan Thursday. I can even feed you! Sound good? PM me for particulars.

I'm already past Portland, so not going back north to head south, although it sounds inviting. And thanks for the offer. I have to go shopping tomorrow and just makes sense to hook up the car and do it on the way. We shall see. Headed out now to my gf's.

I'm picking up my trailer at the shop tomorrow fixed or not. The service manager called me today and said they still haven't received the parts but he inspected the hubs and said they looked normal and didn't have any unusual play. I told him I would give it one more day for the parts to come in but that I was picking it up tomorrow after work regardless. So, I plan on STARTING to pack the trailer at about 6:00 tomorrow night...sigh

My plan is to be at the rest area at about 10:30 or so depending on how much I get done after I get home tomorrow and Thursday morning.

Can't wait to get out of town!!!

Are they there yet...are they there yet? Getting excited out here in forum land ...waiting for the rigs to travel down the roads safely and start arriving.... :D We are waiting... :) we are waiting.... :) No one said anything about patiently! :o :D Better go dust down some of the dust and dog hair before company comes in this weekend. "Cleaning" is not something you will hear me talk about often...but it may be the only things able to distract me from the the excitement and anticipation of the the coming weekend for you guys.... :lol:

Kari and I are rolling in about 2 hours, maybe less. Laura warned me this morning about a fire along I-84, which could slow us down, so the sooner we leave the better. :!:
