Hi everyone I am grammy aka Donna...the other half is Maggie the Papillon Princes. I was planning on selling everything and going on the road with a class - c. But life happens and I am now in Florida with my elderly father. (home base is still in PA) Any way I have a 2008 GMC van that I plan on at least doing some traveling in. Had my son build me a bed this summer while I was in PA..it sure is not easy getting set up for camping ... so maybe I can learn a few things from you all. Have to go right now but will be back with some questions...hope you dont mind thanks all donna
Welcome, Donna. You've come to the right place. This is about the friendliest, wisest & most down to earth group of women I've ever come across. I considered using a conversion van for the longest time - then I came across my traveling van. A class C will give you lots more room, but enjoy the journey in your van until then... hitting the road is when most of the fun starts.
And Mitch is right - just ask away - there is no information hoarding here.
Welcome Donna! Yup, we're a fountain of knowledge and if we don't know the answer we're pretty darn good at getting off subject so fast you forgot what you asked!! So ask away.

Welcome to the forum.....several of the member on the forum are taking care of or have taken care of "parents" and rearranged some dreams and plans as a result....but dreams deferred are still dreams and time spent with parents when needed are not regretted in the long run....
If you are still in the FL area in the end of Jan maybe you can run down to the gtg and meet a few of us....

You've definitely come to the right place. I'm not even planning on RVing anytime soon (I'm here helping my mom get ready) but I'm learning so much and having a blast doing it!
I've chatted with and have already met other ladies who's long term RV plans have been held up (not ended) by family obligations. No worries! Just hit the road when you can. Treat it like lots of trial runs!
Welcome. And, yes, ask away. And if we don't know the answer we'll have fun making things up, too. Seriously we'll try to find it. But. Sometimes there's more than one answer and we'll hit on all of them given time.

Welcome. I'm new as well and we are in the middle of actually purchasing the truck and 5th wheel. These ladies are wonderful with their advice and helping me with stupid questions
