Another newbie. From Orygun

Hi, I'm Susan from Merlin, Or., a small town in Southern Oregon. I'm 61 (in 2 weeks). We use to travel to Mesa, AZ for Spring Training. We'd also camp at coast. My husband died in February 2012. So I am on my own. I have 3 adult daughters, and 4 granddaughters. I recently traded in a 26' trailer and F250 for a Class C Coachman Freelander. I just joined Oregon Rving Women and went on outing with them. I thoroughly enjoyed it. But most of their outings are in northern Oregon, which is 3 to 4 hours away.

I'm looking to joining other single women RV groups and may venture into other rving groups later.

Welcome to the forum.. What perfect timing. Several of the ladies from this forum, including newbies, are having a get together near you. Sept 27. - Oct 3 at Rogue River. Look at the thread under Get Togethers, listed as NW get together. The ladies on this forum are wonderful & welcoming.

Welcome to the forum....even if you can't make it to the gtg for the entire time maybe you can escape to visit for a day. Everything helps to put a voice and the sound of laughter with a name and a picture.... Not to mention the taste of some of these ladies' cooking. Not mine but there are great cooks among us.

I want to add my welcome to this group. This is a great, supportive group of ladies. I lost my DH in May and now full time in a Class A. I traded in our 1ton and 5th Wheel. Would love to know more about you and mention too that we love pictures. If you can get to the NW GTG, that would be a great opportunity to meet a bunch of the ladies on this forum.

Hey another Oregonian. Welcome from sunny Ashland. You are very close to me. Would love to meet ya one day for lunch or dinner, or coffee.

We are having a Get Together at Valley of the Rogue park this week. You should come on down. Either in your RV or your car, just to meet some of us. Most of us have never met except for on this forum. One of the gals I am wanting to meet person to person I have known since 2005...ONLINE. A few others have just recently joined and just jumped into the center of this, it is going to be so much fun getting to know all these other ladies. There will be about 12 of us I think. All types of RV's. What a fun mix. So jump right in and get a space ha ha

I have spent most of my morning, ah yes and half the afternoon organizing, reorganizing and trying hard not to forget anything for the GTG. Now we all know I wont be able to find a darn thing once I get there but it will be fun looking for it.

Welcome Susan, I too hope you can make the GTG. I am in AR and right after I joined the group had a GTG here in my state. I had already booked a cruise at that time and tho I had a great time I was very sorry I couldn't meet the girls. I'm very sorry about your loss. Some of the girls have also lost their husbands. We like to share, some of us are open books and others a little more reserved but being diverse makes it all fun and interesting.
