COLD BUT SUNNY SUNDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

COLD BUT SUNNY SUNDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Sep 23, 2012 7:35 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's only 44 outside this morning, but the sun is coming out as the low-lying clouds are being swept away by some steady, rather heavy, winds.

Yesterday I decided to go to Chazy Landing and visit Mema, her sister who sort of watches over her, Mandy, and Orion. The weather was too iffy to be able to work outside, and any reason to avoid more house destuffing overtook me! I also stopped at Walmart to get more dog food, some potty deodorant stuff, a huge tarp to cover the paddleboat (after I scrub it) for the winter. I actually found some gas not too far from her house for 4.09 per gallon! That's a savings of about 40 cents per gallon compared to the price here in Saranac Lake.....unless all gas has come down in the past few days. (Of course, I spent mega bucks just to get to that gas station and my visit!)

I also stopped at the RV dealer and made an appointment to get my trailer inspected on the day the bluegrass festival opens, and now I am committed to going to that. My appointment is for 8:00, so Issy and I will be leaving here shortly after 6:30 am that day. Richard will meet us at the RV place, and we will go to the festival together.

Today I will attempt to back the old trailer into the shelter for the winter, as it appears that Joe is not going to take his stuff from the shelter until heaven-knows-when. I will need to change my ball on the truck from the large one to the smaller one, and then spend some frustrating time trying to back the thing in!

Tomorrow I reconnect with my old doctor to see if I can cut back on the dosages of all 3 of my meds, as it seems that no matter how strong the doses of anti-high-blood pressure and anti-high-cholesterol meds I take, they remain static and high. I am sure he will also need another blood analysis test to see just what those levels are, as well as blood pressure checks. I worry about liver damage from the statin Lipitor I am taking----not sure what the ill effects from the blood pressure might be, but will ask him.

In the meantime, I hear the old trailer calling me to park it, and the tractor is begging to be started to finish brush-hogging the fields in the back.

Hope everyone has a good day and that you all find something fun to do to keep your body happy and alive!

Send some of that cool weather to Sarasota, please Soos. FYI, there was a study done at Cornell regarding Lipitor and women and just statins and women in general. not positive. Seems that all research was done with men only. You might want to read up on that. I 'll see if I can find the web page link when I get back home tonight. Everyone have a good day. carold

Just cereal for breakfast here, Great Grains Pecan Crunch, but there's eggs and bacon in the fridge if you don't mind cooking.

Thunder, lightening and rain here in the wilds of Arkansas, but oh, so nice and cool! The symphony woke me up about 6. We don't have this kind of music very often in SoCal so I'm really enjoying it! The fur kids..not so much. Chewy dived under the covers and she's still there and the Samcat went into hiding in his house with his head in and big old butt and tail sticking out. Guess he figures if he can't see it it can't get him. I thought cats were smart but he manages to put that rumor to rest quite often.

Kids are having a seafood fest tonite, they went down to the seafood/chicken shop yesterday and loaded up, said I didn't need to make anything they had it covered. Sweet! Amazing that a town that has a Walmart the size of a gas station convenience store has such a great seafood shop. One small grocery store, 3 gas stations, 2 beauty shops and a couple of "antique" shops and you're thru town. I like it here, tho, even tho you have to go 6 miles to get there. I will say that I'm getting a little tired of trees and am just about ready to get back to my beloved desert. Another month and a half and my summer cruise will be over. It sure has gone fast, but I've had an amazing summer.

Hope everyone travels safe and has a super day!

Good morning everyone. It is 72 out and foggy right now, but it will get up tot eh 90s this afternoon. I'm so glad for these cool mornings as I have started taking my morning walks with Tyler again. It is so pretty out this time of the morning. I'm making eggs in a basket and coffee if anyone cares to join me :P

I spent yesterday climbing in and around a 5th wheel and couldn't sleep last night with all the decisions about RV in my head. Anyway drove DHs new truck yesterday - a 2012 diesel F250. This is a replacement for the truck that was totalled in the accident 3 weeks ago. He'll take delivery on Monday!! He is having the 5ver hitch installed next week and the great search for a rig is on. You may read my post under General Talk titled, " Need advice, purchase a used 5ver".

Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe on the road. Aloha

good morning ladies,
surprise surprise, I have internet in my room, son brought in a cell phone that belongs to a friend, turned on the wifi and it seems to have
kicked up the power for my computer to connect. Its just two bars but hey, I'm not complaining, it just means I don't have to go into sons
livingroom to connect to his internet. :D
Everythings been routine in my life, except for the anticipation of the babies arrival. Daughter is unbearably moody, she told me she couldn't
stand my "doting" and abruptly said "goodnight" at SIX THIRTY in the evening. WTH? ( So sorry dear daughter that I care. ) As always though
she will call and apologize for being short with me.
Gracie was crazy yesterday, did some work on the platform bed, painting it and by evening put it back together, that crazy dog kept trying to
climb in between the air mattress and cross slats that hold it up. Don't know what she was thinking. Decided I better get the linen and blankets
on it as that would make it too heavy for her to lift up with her head from underneath. What a goofy dog, total weirdness on her part.
Off to do a little catching up. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!! (and with a minute to spare! LOL)

Was doing a little reading and time just seemed to run away with me! But then at this age all the 'time' seems to be running away. The heck with 'time', I wish I could run away!!! LOL Saying that makes me think of the old cartoons of kids saying that they are running away so pack a big ol'hankie or rag, tie it to a stick to carry their most prized possessions. As a member of an age group that all remembers such cartoons? We sure have come a long freaking way!!! No more big hankies, big rags or even a bag tied to a stick. Nope now days we run away and have the whole dang 'house' "tied" on!!     Hmmmm? That just gave me one heck of an idea for a name for a rig. Don't know if I will use it for this trailer or not? Will have to ask Kelly what she thinks. We don't have or use a name for here. We just call it "home". To tell the truth, "home" seems to be it's name really. ;)

We over slept this morning. We stayed up late watching a movie on TV. Kelly finally got out the door to go clean the bathrooms at about 10:55. It's been really quiet here so there isn't really gonna be much to do but knowing her? Now that she is gone and up cleaning she will probably get nit-picky with things because she wont have to worry about being interrupted. The Family Movie Channel is having some good movies on, yesterday I watched Ratatouille and it was really good! There are so many movies that I haven't seen so really need to do some catching up.

OK, enough blathering, gonna go read some more and catch up on ya'll. Hope that today is a good one for everyone whether your sitting or traveling. Please remember to stay safe ya'll.

Love to all

Still morning here. I slept in because I really needed to catch up on sleep last night.

I've been slowly getting into the groove this morning, but with my typing errors that I'm having to correct, I guess I'm not on all cylinders yet.

Red - I know it's a crazy, hard decision. Good luck with what you decide.

My mom is in town so I spent most of the day with her yesterday, along with her friends. We did the mani/pedi thing then lunch then the rest of the afternoon at her friend's house.

Just got up. My new bed is SO comfy! Got a memory foam mattress with a fluffy puffy mattress pad on top and it is wonderful! Hate to get out of bed now!

It is sunny but cold and windy out today. Only 54 right now and won't hit 60 today. Was gonna go play golf or walk in the woods but too chilly with the wind. So will do some laundry and put one of my chairs together (can't find enough bolts yet for the whole set) and watch football.

One more week or so and I can move into my other apartment! Finally! It will be great to finally be able to put everything away, hang stuff on the walls and get stuff out of boxes and onto shelves and in closets.

Hope everyone has a good day today!

With only one more week to go before you get into your apartment I sure wouldn't be in a hurry to put any more furniture together. Unless you have someone with a truck to move it for ya? After you get into the new apt. then you can go to Home Depot and pick up the nuts and bolts you need to finish the job.

It's moving day for me. I was told two days ago that the park will be closing my camping loop early. So I have to pack up and move my MH to another (lovelier!) site. But moving is always a pain -- especially since I brought the last of the flotsam and jetsom of my home sale up here. So it's a cleanup AND move.

Again.

The ranger tells me I can stay until the snow flies. So I'll put in another week or two here whilst I get everything in order.

Otherwise, it's a sunny day with possible thunderstorms this afternoon. Best get moving after the go-to site's camper leaves today.
