My brother needs prayers

Postby avalen » Sat Dec 27, 2008 1:46 pm

My brother, who is two years younger than me and lives up in Washington had a
stroke on Christmas. He was having a headache and then his arm started to hurt
so his wife called the ambulance. Hopefully it was caught in time to give that new
medication so there won't be any permanent damage. He had a brain bleed and
now swelling so we don't know what extent the damage is. Please add him to your
prayers as I am hoping for a good prognosis. Thank you

Oh Ava, I'm so sorry to hear this. And you know he's added to my prayers. Strokes can be warning signs and often people come completely back and can be healthier than before. I will pray that this will be the way for your brother.

I'll be praying for your brother's complete recovery. How fortunate that his wife recognized the warning signs and called for help right away.

thank you so much, hoping he recovers fully and that he will then take care of his
health, he was on high blood pressure medicine and awhile back he decided he
didn't need it. Am going to call my sister inlaw and see how its going and if there
is any definite answers yet.

Getting into the Hosp as fast as you can after a stroke helps to avoid problems later on, you have a 3 hr time period. I had a lady have a stroke right in front of me and I had the paramedics there within 5 min ( she lived just down from the Hosp thank goodness) Paramedics told me to hold her head still and do not move her till they got there.
When it happened, I asked her to tell me something...she couldn't
I asked her to squeeze my hand.....she couldn't
asked her to smile....she couldn't
theses are signs of a stroke

Your Brother is in my thoughts and prayers, hate it when something happens on a Holiday!
