Love it! But we need trophies for additional categories, such as:

- Most "fashionable" outfit
- Most creative technique
- Neatness and cleanest tank

Not sure how we evaluate last part of last item.

We have a few ladies so "afraid" of the dumping issue that I forsee some "toxic waste contamination" suits.

This is the only group I know of that can do three pages on dumping altho I think we once did four pages on the same subject. Apparently I didn't pay enough attention when the guy delivered my Roadtrek and did the walkthru cause the first time I went to dump, I couldn't find the dump valves. Who the devil hides them under the step on the driver's side with hidden hinges to lift the step.

My first day fell more in the same category of Soos - sheer terror - and I still question my sanity once in a while at starting this adventure at my age. Still no regrets tho, just bad case of nerves. Trip # 3 is coming up next week, still hoping it will get easier but can already see a big improvement in spite of limited experience.

Haven't had to use a dump station yet; something else to look forward to one of these days. Have had full hook ups and that went okay. My local campground has a pump station, not same as dump as it is more intended for boats (park has large marina, small campground). The one time I needed tanks emptied, an employee there actually did the work.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Sarah, you need to make a stop at The Blue Marlin Resort to use your very own, private dump station! Take all the time in the world...

If you want to increase your confidence.... there is the experience of dumping at the Fred Meyers in Alaska after waiting in line of 10-15 rigs..... you get the sense that as pitiful as your personal dumping skills may be yours are better than many...... especially after you have just watched Nan have to spray down someone else's left over messes (and I am guessing that it was more than one) ......before she could even begin to proceed with her own dumping..... :? I know that it smelled a lot better by the time I pulled up to dump.....

Now that's silly question Karen. If you really think about it, you will figure it out. MEN!! They are the ones that dream these things up!!! MEN!!!

I do know that the very first time I went to dump I removed the outside cap only to find that the black tank and not been closed....either during the initial walk through or ?????? There was a lot of immediate jumping back and loud expletives and then a lot of rinsing and rinsing and rinsing...... After that surprise nothing seems so bad.
