Friday ! Tis' the morning after, for sure !!!.. Sista's what a beautiful Christmas Day... I've gone through and read each and every post. I felt the love you all shared, it is with great pride that I can honestly say, "There is no finer, than all of YOU".. It's amazing how God has crossed our paths, that we all have come together...and again, there are reasons..openning a door for many...bringing closure for some and for others, a new beginning..and for those that feel they are alone...Never ! Just say the word, and I can promise you... our light will shine on you.. and that's a fact !!

Now as I venture through..aaaaaaah I see...Sharon...welcome..a newbie, NOT...an ole friend coming by way of "Harley".. good to see you Sharon..You may not remember ..but You were the first one when I joined a forum to be willing to meet me in Quartzite so I wouldn't be by myself... I never forgot that ..and I am really happy that you joined..even if ya are gonna be off and on to the wild blue yonder... You can say, "Grass never grows under your feet" and Sista's if ya never seen Sharon's Alaskan Adventure..you're in for a treat..specially her catching that Big Asp Fish . Very Impressive !!!

Echo, you is a trooper.. thank goodness you have today Off... You have certainly deserved it..and I hope you just Relax..and do what ever your heart desires.....and that Santa was good to you...Your recap of yesterday was awesome...Good going

Ok, I need to get my asp in gear... I'm having company ..for the weekend..(well maybe if she can stand me and my critters) I won't tell ya who just yet...just in case she puts it in reverse..LOL but I will make sure we take Pictures.. and tell ya all about it .. ON MONDAY... So you'll all have to wait it out....Yep, I is mean ...but love to have them juices flowing as to who would be in my area....LOL...

Coffee Pot is perking..Tea Kettle is Whistling...oh.. my oh my.. no cookies..no muffins...uh oh.. I have toast..anyone have any thing they can share...LOL

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Beautiful art work this morning and a super recap! WOW You are in rare form this morning. LOL

What is it with internal clocks? I go to bed at 10:30pm and I'm awake and up at 6am. ~sigh~ Oh well, I tried to sleep at least 8hrs and I almost made it too. But here I am, did my potty run, have taken Shade out twice, gotten a neck rub from Kelly cause she was up all night and I am on my 4th refill of my coffee cup. So my day is off on pretty much a usual starting note.

It's all Ava's fault for talking about her plumbing problem!!! But I have to go to Lowes and pick up the guts for inside the toilet tank today and get David to install them. Dang tank isn't filling up the way it should. It kinda drizzles to fill and then only half way. Have got a gallon water pitcher in there so that we can get water from the tub to fill the tank and flush. Hmmmm Maybe the landlord knew something we didn't??? He sent us a Christmas card with a $25 gift card in it to Lowes. Now I guess I know what I will use it for.

Got some running around to do today. Need to stop into WalMart which I dread something terrible, I don't even want to think about the crowd in there today, need to pay the electric bill, pick up a few groceries, and something else ?? too but I forgot what it was. CRS!!! And of course a little house cleaning and laundry. Just the usual day off type of stuff.

Ok, gonna go check my email and get my comic fix for the day. Will be stopping back in here off and on all day. Got to keep up with the rest of ya!!!

GOOD MORNING, ALL!

Barb, no fair making us all wait until Monday!!! WAHHHHH!!!!!! Inquiring minds demand to know!

Good to see you this morning----this morning after, as it were! I so enjoy your wrap-up!

I am sipping on Hazlenut Creme coffee again...no goodies for me after pigging out for a couple of days, snacking up a storm here! And yes....I can't WAIT to pick up my son at the airport this evening!! We will spend tonight at his grandmother's house, have a Christmas feast tomorrow, and I will be back here with him and Melissa tomorrow night. In the meantime, I will leave it all to Barb and the rest of you to keep me updated on the happenings about town!

Molly is getting all excited since she saw me pack her bowl and food for the overnight! She adores her 'Googy'.....son's nickname he's never forgiven me for!

Temperature has dropped to 4 deg. F. this morning, after our monsoonal rains of Christmas Eve.

Hope you all have a great couple of days while I am on the roads and visiting. I'll replenish the woodpile for the campfire before I leave!

Good morning after
hmmm, more rain today, its like Seattle over the past couple weeks, I'm just not
used to all this rain. Been trying to get the yard cleaned up inbetween drying out
spells but it hasn't really dried out.
Dogs are still sleeping, not fair not fair, but I'm sure they will be up soon enough.
Yesterday was a wonderful day, so many people at the relatives , two extended
families and all their children and grandchildren, and ex's, didn't know half of them.
But, son looked clean and free of drugs so thats a gift in itself. He wasn't his old
self though, seem to have a broken spirit. My heart aches for that. But I gave him
a ride home when the doins were done and so now I know where to find him.
Stuff to do today, well, unfortunately I have a funeral to attend at noon, although
it wasn't a surprise, it still won't be easy. Aunt Glady loved Christmas and always
did it up big so her passing over the holidays was so "her", rip Aunt Glady.
Need to make a trip to home depot too but I just might wait until tomorrow.
Still working on minor house cleaning details, all the major stuff is done but I
still need to wipe down the walls and wash the exterior windows.
Ok, ready for a refill on my coffee and a ham sandwich, I think I'm about cookied
out. Relax and enjoy your day, stay warm, stay dry and always be safe.

This was Beth's White Christmas. White caps, white sands and white fog.


That woman has a lot of energy! She had me down on the beach hiking in the morning. Then over to her friends house for Christmas Dinner, which was wonderful. Who knew Devilled Eggs could taste like that? And then Deep Fried Turkey with all the trimmings. Really nice people too. Then on the way home she's planning another walk on the beach, then over to another friends house for another meal...and wait...we have to figure out when to have the Shrimp Dinner that yet another friend is planning. I'll need February in Alabama to recover!
I have to say that was the best Christmas Day I have had in the past 6 years. Thank you Beth.

Now that's my idea of a perfect white Christmas Sparkle!

We had a good Christmas. My brother fixed a duck for dinner and it was quite good, only four of us so low key. My DH got everything on my Santa list which was short as I told him my computer that I got a few months ago was really my Christmas.
My friend from Florida and her daughter came to visit last night. Hadn't seen her in four years. She used to live nearby and we've traveled a lot together in the past. England and Ireland was the farthest adventure.
Even though it had been 4 years, I told the dogs their Auntie E was coming, well she was over an hour late and they were like little kids. They first started crying, then watching out the window, then back to find me and crying some more. When they came in it was bedlam, they barked, kissed and cried and then barked some more. She had to sit on the couch so Andy could kiss her while in her lap, and then he laid on the back of the couch so he could put his head on her shoulder. It was a total riot. Charley had his ball wanting her daughter to play. Eight years ago when he wasn't quite a year old we all traveled in California together but obviously he hadn't forgotten the daughter either. During that trip we had reservations at a cabin in Big Sur and found out on arrival they didn't allow dogs. Well, we liked the spot so wrapped Charley in a blanket carried him in, like we thought we could keep a big Standard Poodle hidden. Someone turned us in after a couple of days but nothing happened and we didn't get charged extra because by that time he was playing with everyone there. No wonder I'm bored, haven't traveled in way to long!
I'm HAPPY Christmas is over though and feel pounds lighter today in spite of those chocolate chip cookies.

Gee Sparkle, that's a "white christmas" I would really enjoy! Oh how I wish I was on the gulf of mexico somewhere,.... anywhere,.... it's cold here again this a.m. after a fairly mild day yesterday.

It may not be morning, but at least it isn't almost midnight as I'm posting today......yesterday had me visiting here way too late...but at least I did check in...

Today has been do laundry and clean up the 5er day.....tree's down and packed under the couch til next year.....sorted stuff to donate to the "free" shelf in the laundry room.....Ernie's on a run to the store and I'm ready for some "me" time.....

OOOOO...Barbzeee, love the Christmas Angel.....done quite a few of them in counted cross-stitch for siblings on both sides of the fence...but yours is a new and different one.....

Well, Sparkle and I hope we walked off much of last night's dinner in preparation for tonights We walked 5 miles on the beach - Was perfect timing today - as we had the sun the entire time and now clouds are coming back in. Was still a little hazy - but I'm constantly amazed by how sparsely populated the beach areas are on such beautiful days. I guess all these people just have to go shopping today - I say - go go go - cuz it's so peaceful out here.

Just another day in heaven.

OK, I need to make the salad for dinner tonight, Sparkle is making potatoes - and the friend we're going to visit did the main meal. Then I think I'm going to take a nap
