It was a tough day at work. When I first got there I didn't know whether I wanted to cry or to throw something because I was feeling so angry. I couldn't even look at anyone or talk to anyone at first for fear of bursting into tears. Later some of us talked about it and that made me feel better, at least more in control of my emotions. Three of us feel we should be open and honest with Ashleys clients, but one gal thinks we shouldn't say anything and just let people think she hasn't had the baby yet. Tonight I called the GM and left a message with her asking what she says we should do so we are all on the same page.

I guess they did do an emergency C Section on her after they noticed the baby was in distress but the baby was dead when they delivered him. They worked on him for half an hour before giving up. I just can't imagine what she must have been going thru during that time. I remember waiting to hear my baby cry right after the delivery and it seemed like hours before I heard her finally cry out, even tho it was only a minute or so (she had inhaled meconium). Longest minute of my life!

Life is precious...and not always fair.

How sorry I am to hear this news! What a loss for her and for those that were so eager for the baby's arrival
My niece lost a set of twins a few years back at that time someone gave her a book title too soon gone... I think remember the authors name
was unusual and it was passed around to all who wished to read it. And found it a great help I'd had several miscarriages and really
that was done probably something was wrong with the baby mother natures way of taking care of the problem ect...and even though it had been
several years sense my last miscarriage it helped...I don't recall it being a churchy book but a book that helped. perhaps it could be found on amazon
I think asking her how she wants the clients told was wise they need to be told otherwise she will have the wound opened so many times for so many
months even so will have that happen occasionally but not near as much as if notice wasn't placed
hate it when I can't spell a word so that spell check will recognize it...my best to her the babies father and all of you

Barbie, I'm so sorry to read this news... My prayers are with her as I know that feeling too well.. To anxiously await a birth of your baby...and then to have this happen... She will need all your support and prayers...
God be with her and her hubby...and family.. Oh my I'm so choked up... It took me a very long time to even be around any one pregnant and even babies... Been a long long while ago but the pain is still in my heart..

Yes, I agree do tell the customers so they don't keep asking......

I'm just so sad right now I can't even write...

God Bless

How very sad and tragic...I have a friend whose Grandson and wife lost their baby girl the same way. They have since had a little boy then a girl. They celebrate Veronica's birthday each year. Tho they are now blessed with other children there will always be a feeling of loss. I know it was painful for those of you who have had the same or similar loss..my heart aches for you too. I had two miscarriages in early stages but I will always remember them.
Barbie, this will be very difficult for you and I have you in my prayers.

Barbie, I also send my prayers for this family. I think asking the Mom how she wanted to handle her clients etc was a good choice.

ANother tough day at work. Turns out story about the umbilical cord was not true. Not sure why we were told that to begin with.

Now they (the owner) say that she started hemorraging at home and couldn't get ahold of her boyfriend so she drove herself to the hospital. The placenta had ruptured. For some reason they didn't do the C-section for three hours after she got to the hospital and the baby actually bled to death.

We were also told that if someone asks about Ashley or the baby to just tell them "there were complications during the delivery and they lost the baby but we don't have any details." They are also going to contact all her regular clients and let them know what happened.

I am so sorry for those on here who have also lost babies. It is a devastating situation for all involved. Even miscarriages are a devastating loss. Many people just don't understand that.

Barbie - my prayers go out to them - and to all of you co-workers as well. Such a sad time.
