Weather looks to be cooling down for our GTG. Should be perfect weather LOL I cant believe how far away the GTG seemed and NOW it is closing in fast. I can't wait to see everyone.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Just made reservations at Memaloose State Park for a few nights then might go to Silver Falls SP - but that's only a very very small possibility - however, checked availability, and they have it. Have people to visit - and simply looking at the places to stay near them - or at least in close enough proximity. Good change I'll still end up at the casino west of Salem. On my 5th and last night at the casino in WA - and Karen, you'll be glad to know I haven't (so far) left them any money. Figured it out last night and I'm all of one nickle ahead

Took my trailer in this morning to have a sway control installed. Received a notice for a recall so had them check to see if mine is one of the "chosen few" while I was there. Well, it is....sigh They have ordered the kit (wheel bearings MIGHT not be the correct size) and it should be here next week. I told them I was leaving to go camping on the 27th and they said they would do everything they could to get it fixed before I leave. I haven't noticed any issues while I'm towing but if I have the wrong bearings the hub could fail at any time. Doesn't sound like that would be a lot of fun at 60mph on the freeway so will get it fixed before I go. I hope.

I'm starting to assemble the things I am going to take. Harley is very worried LOL When he figures out I'm not taking him to dog jail, he will settle down for the drive to the gtg.

Ha, ha, ha that's so funny Laura. I always used to tell my dogs they were going to the "resort/spa." They probably said under their breath, "Yeah sure, it's more like dog jail." Anyway, now they don't have to go there since I got the RV and are very anxious to meet Harley and all the other puppies who are coming to the GTG.

Gloria, It's looking like partly sunny to sunny skies with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 50's.
Rent that rv and come on down!

Just getting caught up. My computer crashed last week, still not fixed so using borrowed. Can't believe GTG almost here. I leave next Sat. (OMG) for the coast then back to gtg thurs or fri. Don't have a TV yet but will bring some dvd's to pass along to whomever. :D I think I'm going a little crazy on what I should put into the RV/Truck what I might need, don't have, should have, Yiks!! It'll be fine once I''m on the road.

New to gtg so thanks Laura for the rundown. I'm good to go with the flow. Will have a pickup to get around in or help with.
Looking forward to meeting all.

I thought it might be a good idea to give some phone numbers out in case anyone needs to call or ask any questions or whatever... Anyone else that feels comfortable can share theirs also in a PM I thought we had a private room on here for Members only but for the life of me I cant find it....not unusual I cant find something.

If someone knows where the Members room is maybe you could point me in that direction LOL

Found one in the ORS Forum so guess that is where I saw it, I dont think we have one on this forum..not so silly after all ha ha

My weekly produce co-op basket included several pounds of sweet potatoes, so I was reminded of a yummy recipe for Carribbean Sweet Potatoes and Black Beans that I think I'll double to share. It calls for Italian turkey sausage, but I suspect it wouldn't suffer much from omitting the sausage. Anyone coming who prefers meatless? Speak up or the sausage is going in the pot. :D

I'm so bad coming up with ideas for meals to share - but have just figured out stuff for this gtg - and made a grocery list. Now, to get everything I need - and not stuff I already have....

I can't believe I'm figuring this out so early - but I am excited to see everyone! I'm going to see when I get there if I can add a day without the added expense of the $8 charge to change a reservation. I am frugal - and that just is ridiculous (IMHO). Remember, I didn't take the last night because I had the job starting that date - but that changed. Otherwise, I'll just have to leave a day before some of you.

Yup dont do it online...shouldnt be crowded at all this time of year. F loop is the last to fill up anyway as it has no sewer conn. but bigger spaces and less people. I am making a list too and have looked at a couple of ideas for the potluck. I am excited too. I have known you since 2005 and we have never met.....so I am very excited about that and the new people. It is going to be lotta fun.
