Introducing Joy (aka I Can Do It! Part 2)

Postby ellenw » Mon Sep 10, 2012 11:51 pm

I've been bursting with excitement since a week ago, when I bought my first RV!!! (So much for my "No buying, no buying" mantra.) Please say hello to Joy.

Image

She's a new 2012 Jayco Greyhawk 26DS motorhome - 28'9", single slide. She's a beauty and she's going to the Oregon GTG with me!

I haven't posted sooner because I don't have pix yet, and the dealer took down her page on their site as soon as I bought her. I couldn't stand it any longer, so I've scanned and uploaded some photos I printed before she was mine. Well, she's not actually mine yet. They have some of my money and I'll pick her up on Thursday, September 20, after a walk-through, instructions and closing. Thanks to members Laura (Cougarfan) and Kari (KariFlint) for your help and support in finding her.

Joy has the entertainment center in the front, with a pull-out bunk under it (about 33" wide, 4" foam mattress).

I wanted a U-dinette for relaxing, and I like the double pedestal under the table for stability.

So much storage in the kitchen and bedroom areas are part of what sold me.

Lots of excitement here in Spokane!! :D

Dawn - I'll see you at Boot Camp, but Joy won't make it. :( And Maggie, I'm hoping we can arrange a quick GTG maybe Monday, Nov 12, after Boot Camp.

Sharon, I suggested "Joyful Abandon" to someone else. Decided i like it enough it use it myself. :D

CONGRATULATIONS on a great purchase! It seems as if most women on here now have class C rigs, or bigger. My trailer seems to be the exception these days. I guess that's why I am considering a truck camper light enough for my short bed F150 truck for weekend camping adventures, and perhaps long-term travels where hauling the trailer might be too much.

I love its name, too! Enjoy making it yours, and can't wait for pictures as you explore and make it home!
