It's Thursday Morning...Merry Christmas to All !!! Today I'm going to do something different... My table is set..of course..but this time I'm going to just be with you...and share this... I know at first I thought.. that's a strange greeting..out of the norm...but then again I re read it..

My Wish for You in 2009

May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts.
May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 dollars
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy
May the problems you had, forget your home address!
In simple words ............
May 2009 be the best year of your life!!!
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!!

Today I got the best present of my life..it wasn't anything wrapped or money sent..it was a gift of being united with a niece I hadn't seen in 33 years.. I had recently in the last two years been talking with via phone..do to my eldest sister being ill.. I had sent her flowers for Christmas this year.. I had called her on her birthday for the last 2 years and never brought up anything unless she herself wanted to discuss it...I became her sounding board, as I was taking the place of where my sister (her mother) would have been listening and only offering some advice when asked... God does work in mysterious ways..so if you think he doesn't...you're in for an awakening... LIke me !! This morning she called and thanked me again for the flowers for her table..and then said, Aunt Zeee, I don't want to come visit you in a funeral parlor. please come visit me.. I have plenty of room for your rig and a long extension cord.." I gasped... I could hardly speak... I then said to her, "Theresa, that is the best gift in the world, I've waited so long to hear those words, I have missed you so terribly that my heart has been breaking.. today it's mended... " We both were silent..and then she said, " we can go visit my mother and I'll call my sisters and maybe they will come and we can all be together..." So...my dear Sista's... I've gotten my gift...and with God's help lots of years of sadness are coming to an end...
I'll even get to meet her children and their children... Lord I'm so filled with the spirit of God's love.. I'm like "born again"... It's like the walls of Jericho are tumbling down... the enemy has been defeated.. This truly is the best present of my life.. I'm so thrilled to share this with you..as you have become my family as well...

Through some dark days, some light shines through..Our Strength is our friendships and our Forum surely shows that..although some of you have been away..you know we all still have you here with us...and are so thrilled to hear from you too... Every morning is truly a blessing..that you come and sit a spell with me..I just love reading about you...and picture some day... we'll be like the Knights of the Round Table...(I don't have a square table ..no ma'am cause we is all equal .)..we'll all one day show up... what a heck of a GTG that would be... WOW..just the thought of it..

Now today, this special day..I'm so thrilled to be with all of you ! Coffee pot is on, Tea Kettle whistling, OJ chilled and even have a few Cola's..come on in and tell me what's your day gonna be like...pass them muffins...uh oh.. no biscotti...wait grab them Oatmeal Cookies..(the ones I don't talk about) they is hard as a biscotti dunk them suckers.. only way you can eat em'.... LOL

May Your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey Be Safe....

Merry Christmas to All...

God Bless
Zeee

PS Recap will resume Friday...I'm out to lunch :) LOL

Well, it's not quite Thursday morning for me yet, but I was checking posts and saw Zeee done got her Christmas wish and she just couldn't wait to share it. God IS good, huh? He can answer our prayers when we least expect it, but we need to put feet to our prayers, too. Just like you did. God does expect a little help from us or else we wouldn't grow in our faith. You did a good thing just being there for your niece and look how God has used that. What a joyous blessing for sure!
Merry Christmas, Zeee! Thank you for sharing your gift of words. We so enjoy your humor, inspiration, encouragement and strength.
May God bless you richly
Hugs,
Lenora

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Zee great news, so very glad you are finally seeing some light in this long dark spell. I truly believe that God never closes a door that he doesn't open a window somewhere, we just need to find it.

May each of you have a very Blessed day.

A very Merry Christmas to all! Barb's day has started off with the best Christmas present of her life, perhaps! I love hearing about the reuniting of family and friends. You deserve this gift, Barb......have a wonderful holiday season!

I see that many are up before usual today, looking for Santa, no doubt, if kids are in the house!

I'll have my coffee and perhaps some left-over cheese rarebit on toast this morning. After that, I have no plans for the day. Tomorrow I will head 40 miles north of here to the nearest city where I will shop for a bit before picking up my son and his girlfriend at the airport there.

I just heard that the wild winds of last night knocked out power to a bunch of people up here....very happy to have mine! Must be my Christmas present!

Again, a very happy day to us all, wherever we are and whatever we may be doing!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Yes indeed you recieved a wonderful Christmas wish. Family is what life and Christmas is all about.

We had a family day yesterday. My sister Deb, her hubby Bill , & thier daughter Laura & son-in-law Montana came for dinner. We ate, opened gifts then we all played Mexican Train Game dominos. Earlier Deb & Bill's son Shane from Lincoln emailed photo of his & Misty's new baby girl, to be named Adelee Mae. She was born the 22nd and looks a lot like Shane when he was born but her hair is lighter, somewhat reddish blonde like my sister's. Laura & Montana are expecting a baby in March. So my sister and hubby are now grandparents and my Mom & Dad have thier 6th great-grandchild.

Today it's rather warmish out at the pre-dawn hours on Christmas Day (28) however the computer says it's 4 so I'd trust our gauge. Snow may arrive tomorrow, hopefully enough that when my daughter's family arrives Saturday we can go sledding. We bought Kristen a new snow sled (inflatable kind).

So we cooked a big noontime meal yesterday and today Mom & I are doing another big meal and inviting some neighbors from up the road who don't have family around.

After all this holiday snacking we are all going to have to watch our diets better. All this sugary stuff is driving me crazy.

Well need to get on with other chores this morning -- like all the dishes I didn't get done in here while in the house working on food stuff there.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas to all!!!
I'm so happy for you Barbz, what a wonderful present, when I was speaking to my
sister and we did the math, it figured out to be 18 years since our last visit. Time
does fly. And now today, I will see my son after over two years of no communication.
Enjoying my coffee, listening to the rain on top of the slide and watching the puppers
for signs of wanting out, they are being stubborn this morning, like they think they
are going to melt if they go out in the rain
Soon as its daylight, I'll be warming up the car and heading over to the relatives for
breakfast and visiting.
Stay safe, stay warm and share the love.

What a beautiful post, Barbz. It has given me hope that my eldest daughter will have a change of heart. For some reason she blames me for the worlds ills. Somehow it was my fault when my other daughters husband died of cancer! I sort of gave up on her after that. Barb has given me the gift of hope. A Merry Christmas to all of us.

Merry Christmas to all the special forum ladies. I feel very blessed to have found all of you. I've always been kind of a loner so its very special to me to feel like I've found so many friends.

I pray that 2009 will be a really, really good year for all of you.

Zeeee, this is a very bittersweet Christmas for me, and your experience and a poem Ava posted have helped a lot this morning. Like Sparkle wrote, your words have given me a little more hope of an eventual thaw between my two daughters and me. A number of years ago they both wrote me scathing emails, blaming me for all the horrible things they were convinced have happened in their lives, letting me know I was no longer welcome in their lives. Never mind that they're both happily married with good jobs, wonderful husbands, and beautiful houses. To them it doesn't seem to matter that their father had been an alcoholic who died from a one-person auto accident when they were younger. It doesn't seem to matter that I was the one to pick up the pieces and go on. No, everything was my fault. Someday things might change--at least I hope so. But, I haven't posted much lately because this is a difficult time. I do wish all of you the best this season and a happy new year.

YOU!

I'm so glad to count you all as not only "sisters"....but friends! Thank you!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Opps it's afternoon! :D

And a very Merry Christmas that is sent with love and heart felt appreciation for all of you who add so much happiness, joy and laughter to my life every day of the year. You have added so much that I really don't have the words to describe it.

It's awesome that gifts come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Gifts of tangible material things. Gifts of the heart. Gifts of time, care, concern, compassion and of course love.

Gifts that come back into our lives and maybe the gift of something leaving our life.

Barbz and Ava are getting very special gifts this year. Janice got a gift of healing this year. Liz got a gift of awesome proportions this year. Chris is getting a gift that she has been searching for. Sharlot got a teeny tiny gift of love this year. So many gifts to so many people. What was the gift you received this year? Maybe a big one? Or maybe a small one? Or even a string of little ones that has been on going. Each day in and of itself is a gift in one way or another.

I hope your Christmas wish list has been fulfilled. And if it hasn't yet? Don't give up hope. It just might take a little extra time. It's probably in the works now.

These are a few of the web pages I have enjoyed looking at today. I hope that someone else will enjoy them also.

OK, it's almost time for tomorrow morning's post - but I finally made it to the table.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you. Zeee, I'm so thrilled that things have turned around in that relationship - and I hope some of the others of you who have mentioned it gave you hope - get that same chance to have a new beginning with some in your families.

This morning, as Sparkle, Peaches and I walked the beach- I thought "It can't get any better than this" - I love where I am in my life, I love the beach, I have such wonderful friends which includes all of you, my health is good - I really feel I'm living in paradise. Luckily it doesn't require a lot of money :)

Now - if any of you do have any money to throw around - I want a Wii with the guitars and mic to play and sing along. I really do want one LOL - I wish I had never ever seen that today. If I get one I may become a hermit of enormous proportions - or have everyone visiting to play lol - But, of course, if I want that, I need a new tv (planned already, but maybe it's not big enough?) - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Merry Christmas again! Sleep well, with lots of dreams - and then tomorrow, start living your dreams if you aren't already.
