Cool Thursday Morning

Good Morning everybody,

Looks like I"m first one in the kitchen this morning. Well, just had a bagel and now some peaches for breakfast. Probably not the healthest but I'm not that hungry this morning and it's quick. Do have a couple of bagels left as well as eggs and bacon, toast and you will have to bring your own beverage though. Also it's a fix your own cause I have to leave for work.

Feels like fall here this morning. Temps in the 50's but going to head into mid 70's today. Cooling down more as the week wears down though. Fine by me. Am tired of the 80 degree weather. I know that sounds funny to those of you down in the south, especially you TX gals, but when you live in a area where the average summer temps are about 67.5, that's hot. We were actually 3.5 degrees above normal this summer, but have no official 100 degree weather on the racord books. This was the 11th warmest summer on record, so nothing big there either. Although I don't know how they figure out that average.

The park has slowed down dramatically, although there were 25 camps there yesterday, with 9 leaving and 5 coming in. But today it looks like the majority are heading out. I and two other coworkers are the only ones there right now. The camp office staff only has 2 people to hold down the fort, one of which came in around 4 yesterday after she finished working at the school where she works during the school term. The other will be in today. We don't have a lot of work going on right now anyway, as we have a spending freeze in effect, so can't buy the stuff we need to do some things we usually do in the fall. Those will wait till spring.

Tessa's latest checkup at the vet showed that there is some small improvement, but the critical levels are still a bit high. She does have kidney disease and my vet is trying to head it off before it goes into kidney failure. I'm waiting for some estrogen to be sent from a pharmacy over on the west side of the state. We are going to try that and see what happens.

Sounds like everybody's busy getting ready to head south or to other destinations, making plans for fall and winter GTG's, the AK group are returning home after a spectacular summer, Echo might have come home yesterday, Dawn is in OK and has christened her new rig (ouch) already. Don't know if Linda (Bikerchic) has left MI for points south yet or not. Barbie is moved into her new apartment complex, Soos had a great time at the bluegrass festival. Busy, busy, busy.

And it's time for me to get busy and get ready for work. Have a great day all, talk to you all later.

Dropping in to say Good Morning before the site does something else. I was starting to go into withdrawal without my morning fix. And I can't access FB from my work computer but have to use my phone. So Zee, I got your request but won't be able to respond to it until tonight.

Sorry to hear about Tessa's kidney disease, Sue, but hope the estrogen will help her live some more good times.

Sunny here again, and warm---84 degrees in the shade, but very low humidity. Once again I am avoiding going into the house destuffing mode. ACK! Think I will close up the pond cabin, canoes, leanto finalizing, and such rather than go inside. Looking for a rainy day to tackle the danged house stuff.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

WHEW! The only good thing about not being able to get in here this morning is that I have finally gotten my email inbox cleaned up! That thing sure looks naked now.

Have had more freaking phone calls this morning than you can shake a stick at. Usually I can go days without getting one single call but this morning?? Jeeze, I think I've had at least 10 or 11. All from Home Health, doctors offices, nurses, the oxygen place, my son and the hospital. -------break------ Home Health Nurse just now left. They are gonna do visits 3 times a week, Mon, Wed and Fridays. The will be keeping track of me and doing finger sticks. Oh joy! I also have a doctors appt 9-10 now. I'm gonna be busier now than I was before I got so sick. ~sigh~

OK, Kelly has just made me a sandwich for lunch so gonna go eat that. Hope everyone has a great day and remembers to stay safe!!!

Well what ya know another Murphy strikes again... and all of a sudden F B was busy with all the Sistahs popping in hahaha... yep, it gets nasty when everyone is going through withdrawals at the same time..

Sue, I sure hope that Doc can avoid that for Tessa...will keep you both in our prayers...

Maggie,...I still haven't put FB on my Iphone.. I did once have email..omg..took that off..hahaha..it was dinging with junk mail lots of it...will only ever use that in case of emergency NEVER...LOL...

Echo...Hope you are doing well...and make sure you LISTEN..(that's a good one) Key "moderation" I found makes life a heck of a lot easier without the added stress..another hint...I use smaller plates (helps on the portion sizes) without thinking you are missing something...Works for me ..

Dawn...Hope your trip to the Laundry room was interesting... I always met some neat people and a few strange ones too..but boy do they have stories for you...but nothing better than yours to top it off...

Soos...Glad you had a great time... sure missed your posts..and those beautiful pictures of where you live...one of these days... ya never know I might get a wild hair..(I have many) and pop up and say "Hey"..

Ok... I need to get back to seeing what good deals I can find on the Net..and my Crock POT is going (yes, Lenora) put in a chuck roast with veggies...and if it don't stop with this off and on rain... I may have to start wearing Hip boots.. ground swishes beneath my feet...

Looks like I missed all the 'excitement' of the site being down. I hate it when something I count on (can you say, addicted) isn't working?

It's another hot one here in Plano - summer is having its last laugh on us here, with temps over 102 every day this week. Hopefully, the weather prognosticators are correct, and the cold front will arrive Friday night. High temp for the weekend predicted in the 80's - woo hoo! Of course, everyone here knows that the only good method of forecasting the weather is to go outside and look up LOL

Today I decided it was too hot to work, and I have room in my schedule to make up the time, so I slept in. Filed my reports from yesterday, then had a long lunch with a friend. Now I'm just goofing off, maybe a nap later.

I just love how supportive this forum is with regard to other members - I'm so glad I found y'all!

Just working on my cleaning this morning, and am taking a break for lunch and TV. I changed my bed and washed all the linens including my coverlet, and vacuumed EVERYTHING, including the spaces beside the bed and the cabover bunk area. I also washed down most of the wood trim. Could not believe how dusty my sliding doors were! Even washed down the walls and shower in my tiny bathroom. Amazing how bath powder clings.

Still need to work in the bunk/dinette area, but almost done. I'm sure my allergist will be glad that I am getting rid of all the dust. I use a wet rag and keep rinsing it out with dish detergeny.

Whew!

I'll start packing up tonight just before I go to bed so I won't have so much to do in the morning when I leave. Headed to the north rim for a week. No shuttles or hookups there!

Spent all day at Drs. Internist said concussion and whiplash. Neurologist said concussion and a bunch of other stuff that explains the headache, blurred vision, irritability, moodiness, confusion. (other than menopause ? ). Going for 3 different MRI/MRAs and eeg and some nerve study test next week

Red, all that does not sound good that they are now wanting to run more tests. Be sure and keep us posted.

I never did get my laundry done today. It has to get done tomorrow. Dealt with drinking water hose and sewer hoses all day.
