Martha, can't you raise your over air antenna? Most of them sit even with the ac's, but you should have a crank that raises it. (The crank would be in the ceiling inside the rig, under where the antenna is on the roof.
That said, I haven't even uncovered my tv in over 4 months. I know darn well that I'll become a junky to bad shows when I have cable in AZ this winter. But I don't miss them without it. Although one of the customers on the boat yesterday was a local (I had met his wife several times this summer). He works up on the road on one of those ... dang can't think of the name of it ... dangerous truckers on icy roads, etc - that's up here in AK a lot, I guess. Anyway, I'm told if I watch when they do the roads up here, I'll see him. He's not a trucker, but has something to do with the roads. I guess I needed to ask more, as I'm not explaining that well, at all lol
Am probably 3/4's ready to take off. Going to bring my slide in yet tonight and after I take a shower in a bit, will undo the sewer hose. And fill my water tank (I emptied it and cleaned it - so can start with fresh water). Tomorrow I'll undo the electric, pull out so that I can hook up the car, and head out and over the pass before the snow that is a possibility for Thompson Pass on Thursday hits (they show the weather for Thompson Pass on Thursday topping out in the mid to upper 30's. Yes, summer is a short season here.
And I'm guessing (and hoping I'm wrong) that it's going to be a cold winter in the lower 48 this year. I've always believed that the winter does the opposite of the summer. It was so hot this summer, so very likely will be colder than normal this winter. My farmer relatives always believed in that and I've found it true more years than not. It was cooler than normal here in Valdez this summer (or so they tell me).
