Early Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Early Sunday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sun Sep 02, 2012 5:02 am

Morning all,

5:45 a.m. here and breakfast is in tummy. Have eggs, sausage, pancakes here for the late risers. Will have to make your own though as I will be heading out the door for work in a little while. Last day of early morning shift and last week for the afternoon shift :D Start at 8 next week until I am finished for the season, with the exception of next Saturday when I am supposed to go in at 7 that day. But it could be subject to change.

Park is full and has a nice buch of folks up this weekend. Beach was busy yesterday, but not packed. It's in the low 80's during the day here, a beautiful weekend. There will be some leaving today and the majority leaving tomorrow. Hard to believe it's the last big weekend for us, staff leaving and all that. The Halloweenfest weekend will be the last biggie for the park, the 1sy weekend of October. I won't be there this year as I am going on vacation that week, yea!

Darn, why do things always make an appearance when you can't afford them at that time. There is a 2005 Roadtrek 190 Popular, up for sale just up the road from me here. It's in excellent condition, having been garage kept. Only has 43,000 miles on it. Gen, fridge, micro, stove and what not. Haven't seen the inside, but from what I saw through the windows, looks like the owner really took care of this baby. Asking $33,500 for it. Can't afford it right now. Don't want any more payments. Although I do have the money from the TT sitting here, I would still have to take out a loan to pay them. With lease payments for my Flex, the expenses of Tessa right now etc., I can't do it. Oh well, Probably wasn't meant to be. Amd maybe I wouldn't like the looks of the sleeping arrangements for all I know Can google the floor plan and see, just for fun.

Looks like the areas in the path of what is left of Isaac, are getting a good soaking. Hope none of you getting all that rain, are floating away yet though. We will not be getting anything here from the looks of it. At first they thought maybe tomorrow, but the front is moving so slow, that now they are talking tomorrow night at earliest. Might have some T-storms scattered about on Tuesday. Was going to work on deck trim last night, but too tired to bother with it. Maybe tonight.

Had an accident with my glasses at work yesterday. Was hanging up a hose and a piece of it fell back off and hit my glasses right on the corner and broke off my stem  Found out it's not repairable, at least through WalMart anyway. So now looks like I might have to order an entire new pair. These are at least 3 years old anyway. But in the meantime, I got busy with the Gorilla glue and so far they are holding together. If they hold through the weekend into Tuesday, then I am going to check with anotehr eye glass place and see what they say. I got them through my doctor who is overin Petoskey, 50 miles from here, so don't want to run over there if I don't need too. Really should get my eyes checked before I get new ones, but can't wait till I can get that done. Have a back up pair, but they area different lens, so my eye was getting strained. Always something.

Well, time to get cleaned up, get into work clothes, make bed, pill dogs and get moving out of here. Hope everybody has a good day today. Keep dry and safe. Take care all.

Good morning Sue and all who follow. That sounds like a really good deal on the Roadtrek too bad it is the wrong time for you to purchase.
We are getting rain, lots of rain!!! I don't know how much but they had to close some streets in town due to high water. This area has been in extreme drought conditions but this may move improve our standing. This has been a year of extremes!!
Good to hear Echo is improving! Did they ever make a diagnosis as to the reason beyond the lung issues? Hospital food amazes me, I can't believe they pay someone and actually allow a meal like crumbled hamburger with gravy, fried potatoes and canned fruit cocktail to be served!
It is a cloudy day and still raining a nice gentle rain right now. The dogs had a hard evening with the storm that came through late yesterday afternoon with lots of thunder. There were tornado warnings out for quite awhile as it was a slow moving storm. I'm just ready for fall and cool crisps days with low humidity!!!
Hope everyone has a good day.

good morning ladies
another busy day for me, getting my own stuff done, but I do like busy days and on the other hand I appreciate a lazy day as well.
Will get my laundry done up today and do some minor room cleaning. Have a microwave to clean, from daughters. My room almost
has a whole kitchen in it now. Only thing missing is a sink but I just take my dirty dishes and leave them in sons kitchen and they
come back all clean. :D  There are some things I will miss when I move back home.
Was catching up on some news yesterday evening and I see where somebody got Hantavirus from Yosemite, their rental cabins.
Some people sick and one has died. Another reason to enjoy my own accommodations when I go camping. But if anyone has been
in Yosemite lately hope you didn't pick up any hitch hikers (mice) from that area.
Off to check a few more posts and do a little email then its time to get started on my chores. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning. There are cranberry bran muffins and coffee if you want some. This is the first Labor Day weekend that we haven’t been camping in years. My own fault since I fiddled around and lost track of the 90 day reservation system…by the time I tried to make reservations every campsite in the area was taken.

In the process of finishing laundry and now wonder what I’m going to do for the rest of the day. Oh there’s plenty of work I could do but just don’t feel like it. A neighboring town has a Labor Day celebration every year. My neighbor asked if I wanted to go to Arts in the Park with her. I bowed out because the last time I went it was mostly dealers for Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Silpada, Tastefully Simple and the like. All of which I feel is highly overpriced. I get invited to enough of those d#^* house parties and usually don’t attend them unless I feel that I am absolutely required to make an appearance. I feel a craft fair items should made by the exhibitor. Then if I’m not in the buying mood I can at least admire the workmanship. DH mentioned going to the stock car races this afternoon = hot, dirty and noisy…duh…”no thank you, but you certainly won’t hurt my feeling if you go without me!” Guess I might be a hermit.

Hope the rest of you have an enjoyable day!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning. I've been sleeping a lot the past few days. Part of the healing process. I'm allergic to N.S.A.I.D.S., narcotic pain meds and most muscle relaxers. So my pain relief is heat, ice, massage, and PT. hope everyone had a chance to appreciate our blue moon on the 31st. Won't be another one till 2015.

So glad Echo is doing better and progressing each day 8-)

Hope everyone has a good day and stay safe if you're on the road.

Home from church and doing laundry. Enjoying the long holiday weekend and getting ready for a quick trip next weekend. My Good Sams chapter is meeting next weekend. Got to come up with something easy for the potluck. Any easy slow cooker suggestions for chicken?

Red, so glad you are taking it easy while recuperating. Sleep is probably what you need right now.

This looks good. Liz says bake in oven but I bet you could do it in a crock pot.

Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.
