Stubborn ol bat that she is, she won't go down without a fight. She was happily bundled up and glad to get some water when I had to leave for work. I made it with a minute to spare. I'd called and let them know I was gonna be an hr late. I imagine her groggy voice will improve over the next few days. If they give me the ok I may go back after work. Soon as I walked into the icu ward her nurse Nessa let me know she was awake and goodness my heart gave a jolt! She saw me and we both teared up. I did not want to leave her but had to come to work. I called Dawn and let her know and asked her to post for me. She's got work and healing ahead of her. I was going to just sit with her for a lil bit and tell her how you all have been pulling for her and prayin up a storm. I'm glad I could tell her and know she heard me. Need to get back. Big giant hugs to everyone!!!!!!!!!!

so glad to see a good update, prayers are still going out from my end. Yes, she's on the mend but its not over yet. Like Barbzee said, that time it
happened up in Fredonia they sent her home with oxygen, I suspect it could happen this time too. My momma Berneice was on oxygen too, and
during the day she was fine, but if she went running around shopping, (she ALWAYS did ) she had a portable and also always had to wear oxygen
at night cause her levels would drop at night. So, for now all is good news, the medicine and rest is working and she's in good hands. I'm happy. :D

I'm so glad you got to spend some time with her Kelly. My mom has COPD and is now using supplemental O2 when she's the least bit active. I hope that Echo is able to get off any and all O2 soon.

Just called and they're gonna let me see her tonite, it's quiet enough (visiting ends at 10:30 usually). Still sleepy from the sedation since early Tuesday and they are gonna put her on the bipap overnight as her ox sat is a lil low. But she's lucid and stable, knows where she's at, what's happening, all except what day it was. Such a relief to have her awake!! She's got a road in front of her by we'll get thru it. She smiled so big when I told her all of you were in her corner. We're all grateful to you for sure!!
