Well, they got the results from the PET scan and they were not good. She has multiple tumors on the colon, abdomen and lungs. They are nonoperable. She is going to start chemo again next week and continue for every three weeks. Doctor told her there is only a 50% chance of the chemo getting rid of all the tumors but they will come back. The good thing is she actually feels okay and her attitude is good. I'm the one who isn't handling the news well. I am so glad we got to take our trip to South Dakota and she is planning on coming to the Canyon Lake GTG depending on how she's feeling. Keep her in your prayers.
I also thought how thankful...that you were able to take your trip when you did. Hope that she will feel up to taking in the TX gtg, also. May you both find the strength you need to make continue through this journey ahead. Thank you for sharing the update and let Carole know we are all thinking of her.

I hate hearing news like this. I hope the chemo can reduce the tumors to the point that Carole can still enjoy life and traveling. And I hope I get to meet her at the TX GTG - she sounds like quite the lady.
