I heard they have ordered mandatory evacuations in at least one parish. Prayers that y'all will be ok. And if that sucker moves any further west tomorrow, we may be getting some of the outer fringes.

Every update moves the predicted path more to the West. At this rate Houston will be feeling the storm. I think there is a mandatory evacuation South of New Orleans. The mayor of NO was saying to shelter in place the same time the governor declared a state of emergency. :? My sister works at the Army base and she said they activated the National Guard.

We'll see what they say in the morning but will probably move the 15 cows and horse. Our neighbors use our stock trailer so we all can't wait until the last minute.

Be careful Martha, and you probably need to gather up the kitties too! Hope you get the animals moved safely. Once they are moved you know the storm will go to Maggie's house in Houston and miss you. Don't move them and they'll be swimming!! Be safe.

We will all be thinking of you and hoping the rain comes inland and gives some of those dry dry land farther north some much needed moisture...... The high winds we can all do without...

Thank you all for thinking of us. Right now we have backed off on moving the animals. It looks like Isaac is going into New Orleans. None of the rain has gotten here yet. I moved my motorhome to Lafayette yesterday. The most important thing. ;)

We are watching the Weather Channel and can be out of here if we have to. I see that it is starting to rain in New Orleans. The storm is moving so slowly that the rain is probably going to be the biggest problem. If it could just skip us and take the rain to the people that need it. My son and I were talking about all the beautiful sugar cane in this area because of all the rain we have been getting. I hope we don't get a lot of wind to blow it down.

Hopefully y'all will stay on the drier side of the storm and not get as much rain as NOLA.

It made landfall then now it's back over water & is expected to hit land around midnight. Carolyn's electricity is already out. Martha doesn't have wind or rain yet, but looking at the radar, it's very close. We had some slight wind earlier, but it's died down now. They say we shouldn't have but 40-45mph sustained, plus gusts. It's the rain that worries me.
