I think I know what I do now Great post, and I, too, love your otter pictures. Early in the year, we wouldn't see them go back to sleep on us - not when we were close. They do get used to us, and I think they know when it's our boat (yeah, I'm stretching it a bit, but it sure seems that way sometimes- even though there's no way I can know if we're stopping by any of the same otters!)

And if any of you think the calving she saw wasn't magnificent - it WAS. I just was very, very lucky to have seen the other one, and even luckier to get some video of it.

Scuba Diving Point Lobos, CA November 1976. All the underwater photographers were looking for this little guy, but he wanted to hang out with me.....I'd like to think it was my magnetic personality but
