Dawn, your granddaughter and daughter will be in my prayers. It's the old story of the "squeaky wheel." Glad your daughter exhibited her Mama bear side and insisted. Doctors get too complacent and often waste time looking for simply reasons even though the signs show something more serious is involved. My mother had her thyroid removed and was on medication continually afterward. She did great though and I know your granddaughter will too. Hang in there and stay strong for both of them. Again, my prayers will be with you all.

Thanks Maggie, I know you would. I have to believe she will be OK. I want to see her happy and healthy again. If it looks like my daughter will be alone taking GD in for radiation on Friday, I am going with her if she will pick me up on the way since I just have the MH and no other vehicle right now. If SIL is going, they won't need me there too. They will be focused on GD. I will talk to daughter today to firm up plans.

Wish I lived closer and could do something to help your daughter and granddaughter. I will surely send them strength and healing powers, and to you, as well. What a horrid state of affairs that your daughter had to scream for help. Sometimes my daughter tells me I am much to 'forceful' and 'off the deep end' with demands from doctors and anyone who renders services, but, as others of you have said, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease and not the ones rusting away quietly.

Thanks Soos. Talked to daughter earlier. GD has had two treatments on Thursday and Friday last week. They were supposed to let DD and GD know results of those treatments today. Daughter said she had called the doctor's office to find out what the results were. Nurse told her the results were in, but the doctor had not read them yet. She was told doctor would call her after he had a chance to read them. Frustrating! DD promised me she would let me know as soon as she does. Talked to GD too and she said she felt pretty good. She had been expecting to feel really bad, so was pleasantly surprised. I was glad to hear that!
