Unknown Bird

You can tell my life is pretty boring when the only thing I have to take a picture of is a cute little bird. Anyone know what it is? Last fall I met a couple of ladies from Massechuettes (Sp? Do we have a spell check on here?) while I was working Las Cruces. They had bought a Scamp 5th wheel and truck on Ebay and had come to New Mexico to pick it up. They spent the winter fixing it up and started out in it. When they got to Albuquerque they traded it for a 29' Winnebago. Joyce said "Cute was fine but not real comfortable for two." Anyway they're arriving today for a couple of weeks stay. Don't you just love meeting people from all over the country?

Maybe if we hung upside down and ate seeds we'd be thin and pretty too. Ya think? Have seen them but no Idea what they are.

Great photo, though. Oh, I just looked in my birdbook, had to turn the page upside down, and yes, it is a Tufted Titmouse.

Yup! Tufted Titmouse. I'm jealous, have never seen one. It would be a life-bird for me.
Great picture.

I love watching the critters....never boring. That's a great picture. Enjoy your visit with friends from MA. It's amazing how small the world becomes when you're traveling/RVing. In August I met a man who was workcamping/mgr at a cg in PA. When asked where I was from, I found out he was heading here to manage a cg in the Ocala Nat. Forest this winter. I'll have to camp there this winter....Roe liked him 'cause he handed out animal crackers.

Don't you just LOVE the name: Tuffed Titmouse. Wonder who the devil name it in the first place.

Remember those roseate spoonbills I am so in love with? They've been gone from our little lake here for a couple months. Sparkle saw some on the way to Corpus in other lakes, but yesterday some returned here - yippee. Oh my gosh, I love these birds. And I love the brown pelicans. I believe Sparkle saw a brown pelican dive into this little lake yesterday and come up with a fish! And with the white pelicans and the egrets and all the different ducks and other birds, I can just watch this little lake for hours.

Oops - I'm due back at work - out a here

Oh, love that titmouse - and the name, too!
