Did you know that my name, Belle, means beautiful in French? Lori and friends did a great job naming me, don't you think? Not only am I a bell that rings, but flamingoes are truly beautiful birds.


But not nearly as beautiful as the hearts of all of you whom I have the honor to represent as your mascot. Now that's true beauty...your love for one another, your kindness and generosity, your laughter and tears which you share freely...

Nope, it's not what we see on the outside that counts...after all, I could have looked like this:


But you'd still accept me because you see beyond the feathers and fluff and see the hearts of gold in each of us.

So thank you all for your friendship and wishing you all a Merry Christmas...

Lori, how do you transpose a photo to a pattern for ccs?

I do ccs and would love to know that trick. Haven't done it in a few years but what a great hobby to dust off this winter, especially with a real pic for a pattern!

beautiful words, you said it just right. The pictures are great, even the one of the
dodo bird, and the last one I saved in my puzzle folder for a puzzle later. That will
be a fun puzzle to do with all those legs.

Cedar, there's a computer program you can buy that takes the photo and does the graph, gives you all the colors you need to do it, etc....My sister and I went halves on it thru the catalog "Stitchery" I think it ran about $50......

Belle, you sure do have a way with words! For such a tiny little thing, you have a HUGE heart and a clever little brain! (Not to mention your beautiful shell for those attributes!)

But, as you pointed out, your dodo relative has a beautiful soul and heart, as well. And inner beauty always outshines whatever it is housed in.
