Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday

Good late morning everyone! I was out and about early as I had to go pick up my van that was in for repairs yesterday. ACK, still recovering from the cost. I should have waited another month, this one already has way too many infringements on my income!! Insurance and property tax due soon. Oh well, got to keep the economy going.

The big surprise of the morning came as I reached the end of our street and saw a dead Armadillo!! They have just started to migrate into Southern Illinois in the last few years and only moments earlier I had read in the paper that two had been spotted dead on a road about 40 miles from here. DH was with me and not happy about my holding up traffic to get a picture :( I was surprised to see it was still there when I returned about an hour later. Usually people pick up roadkill fairly quickly especially I would think something so unusual.

GOOD LATE MORNING BJ AND ALL!

Armadillos are surely reminiscent of prehistoric times, are they not? FL has many of them, and each time I run across one, dead or alive, I love to examine them or watch them in their life movements.

It's another beautiful, sunny and warming up day from the lower 40s this morning to 83 in the sun out there now. I may or may not drain my pool today, as the temps are getting so low at night now that the water doesn't really get warm enough for me to swim during the days. I still haven't decided on whether I will go to VT for the music fest next week, or not. Money is tighter than ever with the current gas prices. Sigh. There is still the "stuff" in the house to deal with from now until I drop!

I guess I will make use of the great late summer weather and take the dogs on a long walkabout. I hope all are having a fun time wherever you may be.

Good morning gals! I am stuck in my room this morning as there is a lot of arguing and door slamming going on in the house right now. Not sure what that is all about but will hide in here until things calm down. This is what I don't like about having roommates.

It is a beautiful sunny day today but supposed to be humid and 90 later on. Have a lot of things to do around here today as it is my day off.

Last night when I was leaving work there was a tornado warning just west of where I live so I decided to head to my dad's house instead and wait out the upcoming storm. It fizzled out tho and we just had a lot of thunder and lightning and some rain. Headed home about an hour later.

I did go buy that wicker table and chairs yesterday and dropped it off at my dad's for now. It is lightweight and the legs come off the table really easy and fold up, so is very easy to move. The only heavy part is the glass top.

My cat only uses her cardboard scratchers for her claws so am not worried about her going after the wicker.

I am getting hungry and it is quieter now so I think I will sneak out to the kitchen and find something to eat.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Morning BJ, Soos, Barbie and all!

Just finished my pancakes and sausage for my brunch. Being in Texas, Armadillos are not an uncommon sight in the pasture along with raccoons, deer and opposums at night. I think the deer were really active this morning as the sun was coming up because my dogs all went to barking. When DD and SIL came about 2:30 the other morning, they said I had 6-8 deer not far from my MH. DD needed to borrow Mom's car and her husband dropped her off on his way into work.

I sure need you all to give me a kick in the rear today. I am so tired and nearing the end of what I am taking with me. I have no get up and go today. Have done a few things, but not much so far today. I think I will smoke one more cigarette and put more of my fabric into the bays Paul has given me on his rig. That is about all loaded. I am really worried because I don't remember packing my embroidery machine yet and have not come across it or my laptop yet. I mainly used the laptop in my sewing room for my embroidery designs. I sure am hoping these are in one of the bags I still have not opened that Matt's guys packed up for me. If not, will definitely have to buy another embroidery machine and that is not an expense I want any time soon. I am sure I won't know for sure until I get on the road and actually have time for my projects.

Well, better get after it. Nothing is getting done with me sitting here. Everyone have a wonderful day!
