Morning Barb and everyone else!

Hope Miss Reba goes to eating better. Sitting here drinking my coffee before the days chaos begins. Everyone should start arriving in a few minutes to work on getting more of the large furniture pieces out of the house. We are going to try to get Cody to his new home as Matt needs to start taking fences down. Sure hope I get my funding in the morning since I am supposed to pick up my MH tomorrow afternoon. If not, I will have to push it out a day. I will be parked behind Mom's house while we finish this up so Paul is putting in a 50 amp hookup for me. I am going to move in as soon as it is here. I can move boxes during the day and put them up at night. I got tickled at Matt yesterday. He was telling me I could just back up to this house. Can you imagine that with the contractor's trucks trying to work around me. LOL. Especially with outside walks coming down and being redone right where he was telling me I could park. he keeps telling me to take as long as I need. I had to text him we had no water yesterday morning. Within 2 minutes, he had 3 guys here to figure out why. After we closed on Friday, he came to ask if it was Ok if he sent guys to trim the trees back up to how Chuck always liked them trimmed. Watching them work, it was great. The land started to look like Chuck always maintained it. I know he was happy to see it from Heaven. I am so thankful Matt knows what Chuck liked. Chuck always said he wanted Matt to buy this if we ever sold.matt has also been leaning out the acreage we have not used for more than 20 years. He said he has found where it looks like someone has been building kind of lean to's down there and and dumping junk. It was so overgrown, we never knew. He is fixing it so anyone down there would be seen. He told me that with Chuck not being able to maintain the land like he always did, it sure doesn't take long for nature to take back over. He told me not to worry, he would have it back to Chuck's standards as fast as he could. He has been such a good friend.

As soon as I get the MH, will start my blog and post links for everyone. Have a wonderful day all!

Morning everyone, I haven't been here in a bit as my travel dreams were waylaid. In January my mom had emergency open heart surgery, she has never fully bounced back and just this week we learned why; she is in end stage renal failure. She is preparing for dialysis and we are preparing a place for her in our tiny little house... very challenging times around here. The dream of full-timing will have to sit on the back burner for a while longer.

Hope you are all well!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Today is gonna be an exciting, fun filled day for me. NOT!!! We have today and tomorrow left to get everything moved over to the new trailer or to the storage room. It has been a real chore to try and move anything. With Kelly working 2 jobs and me with my banged up hand it's taking forever. Told Kelly that for now I am just gonna take everything that's left in the old trailer and stuff it in the storage room, excepts for my clothes. Storage room will be a horrible mess but at least the trailer will be empty. Still have not heard a peep from the couple that are taking the trailer. He was suppose to come over the other day and put the wheels back on but never showed up. The CG manager and his SIL did it. If the other guy doesn't show up I will have to crawl under the trailer and jack it up to get the blocks out. Once it's back on the ground I can tighten the lugs up. If this couple doesn't show up I just might hook on the damn trailer and take it to my sons! He has been bugging the heck out of me cause he says he wants the frame!!! Says he needs a car hauler. Doofy kid!!!

Zee? I know dang well I have one of Murphy's siblings living with me..... I think I will let them know where Murphy is so this one cam go visit for a while and get out of my hair and life!!!!

OK, time to shut up, gonna go d a little reading and see what ya'll have been up to. Have a great day everyone doing whatever it is that you have planned. And yep, stay safe too!!!

Love to all

Morning! I have coffee. It's going to be in the 70's today...cool front finally! Going spend the day cleaning the car and doing some laundry. We're leaving for the Black Hills on Thursday to visit the youngest son before he comes back for school...going to be a quick trip so we're going to motel it!

Echo...hows the petrified poop situation going?
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

good morning ladies
been catching up a little on the forum as its been a busy week with school started and the incredible heat.
I slept good last night and I know my body needed it. Have acquire a little bit of allergy and I certainly don't
want it to turn into a cold so I've started taking medicine for that.
I only have two things on my agenda for today, wash my hair and wash all my pajamas, (3 sets). After that I
can just sit back and play on the computer. Son gave me a bunch of popcap games on cd so I checked out a
few of those yesterday. Some old favorites for sure and some new ones I hadn't played before. Its all good
for the aging brain ya know. :D
Its only 7:30 in my part of the world but suddenly the house got really hot, its just the sun, it burned off
the nice cloud cover. :(
Off to do some more reading and tall glass of iced tea.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Queen - so sorry to hear about your mother. Monday my mom turns 80 and I don't know how many more birthdays she will be around for.

No cool weather here. And my truck A/C is blowing warmer air than before I had the freon checked. Don't know what is up with that and what I'm going to do. I have to have A/C in the afternoons as I'm sitting in traffic.

Today is the last day of the Olympics - I just watched the men's final in basketball. Nail biter! And does anyone else get misty-eyed when you see the likes of Gabby Douglas get her gold medal or the Boudais kid execute a perfect 4.5 somersault dive? Oh and medal ceremonies - I'm a soggy mess hearing the Star Spangled Banner.

Sitting in a KOA while son and family are in Monterey spending a couple of extra hours in the aquarium. We spent all day Thursday there but kids and DIL wants to see a few more things. My son teaches science, so he explains everything to the 7 year old. 5 year old sort of will listen, but is more interested in playing. Listened to the 7 year old explaining stuff to other kids--funny, sounded like his dad!

We went whale watching yesterday in extremely rough waters. No snack bar sales, to say the least. Lesson learned: Do not buy tickets in advance, Ask about weather conditions, and get the biggest boat there is! Swells were huge and rear end of boat bobbed at least 5-6 feet with every wave. I never get seasick, and even I was a bit green. Kids spent most of time sick, although no one actually vomited, luckily. Managed to eat a good late lunch at Bubba Gumps, at least.

Cleaning up and trying to catch up on grading some papers online for the class I teach, so glad to be here in quiet and not moving up and down.

Thanks gals, I love my mom so much and I can't imagine pulling what my brother is... "she's not living with ME, I'll help pay for a home, but no way she's coming here". We'll just have her move in with us and take care of her; the same way she took care of me when I was little.

Mickie, I agree with you very much. Mom is moving in with me in my MH and we will be traveling together. Luckily, my brother will be traveling with us in his own MH. Definitely not saying it will be easy, because I don't think it will be. 5 years ago, her doctor said she needed to go into assisted living. My DH and I agreed assisted living would be a home right next to us so she had her independence while we were right there. Fast forward 5 years and now assisted living needs to be someone with her everyday to make sure she eats and takes her meds. Hopefully this new assisted living seeing the country will give her a lot more than 5 more years.  She also gets her choice of who's menu she wants each day, mine or my brother's.
