Inuvik, NW Territories - here we come

Postby chalet05 » Sat Aug 11, 2012 5:48 pm

Our walk this morning included a stop at the Northwest Territories Info Center. LeRoy wanted to pick up information for his next trip up here. After seeing the video and photos, I said I wanted to go and I am not coming again. So tomorrow morning we leave on the Dempster Highway, built in 1979 and gravel, 914 miles round trip. We aren't do in Skagway until a week from tomorrow

I'm very excited you are going to do this. It's one I've wanted to do, but will not with this RV that doesn't hold up well on bumpy gravel roads. Looking forward to your blog posts and pictures. Have fun!

Quick check-in from Inuvik Library. It was the usual gravel road drive but absolutely beautiful for the most part.
