Monday..Ugh...I knew it had to be..Morning !!! My post completely disappeared..almost like MAGIC...Poof and she be gone...speaking of which ... I have the Christmas Train all ready... Can ya hear that Whistle Blowin'....On board cause it's 3 more days to Christmas...and as we get to our first stop...my oh my !!

SeeyaGal (Jenny and Dan)..that 55th Street in Yuma..goodness, ya gotta where sun glasses..them lights they is sure pretty, bright and colorful...I bet from the Moon we can find ya LOL...now that's Christmas Spirit..uh hum..and oooooooh that picture your Uncle sent ya... Macy's in Seattle..that belongs on a Christmas Card..gonna did into my bag of fixin's and see what I have ...it sure is an awesome picture.. aaaaah now Jenny, sitting on Santa's lap....uh oh Dan...bet ta watch out...it's gonna big something big ...LOL

Nasoosie (Soosie) took those last day of fall pictures..and they are really great too...just to let us see that gorgeous sunset glistening in the snow..oooh I hear a Christmas tune humming in my brain...Gosh, Soosie...it's sure is Snowy White...I can feel my bones aching ...LOL Now I know why I come to Florida for the winter...wooooooo hoooooo.. give me the tropics..... I felt like you had a bell in your hand and was like Hear Ye, Hear Ye...LOL and yep I believe in miracles too...LOL You rock my socks ..LOL and yeppers it is the longest day..sure felt like it too...but now it's down hill..and I think my body believes it... that was sure a gooder...

I'd probably have those battery packs for heat...I'd be steaming as I'd attempt to walk LOL... Yep and ya even have that winter glow..them rosey cheeks... ooooh that's cold...brrrrrrrrr...

Now Cedar... I know you is on your Winter break..and I also see you is baking some good beer bread...gosh I can do that stuff..great toast..being you is on the other side of the mountain (wasn't there a movie with that name ?) are ya at least a little warmer ??

Gentleladybear (Nan) is in her kitchen..making them Cake Balls again and oooooooh brownie peanut butter cookies.. (Sugar Rush coming ).. and you want what for Christmas....LOL How's about making it with some shaved ice in them drinks you make.. that's enough snow for me..and mighty good snow at that...LOL....

Avalen (Ava) you too is on your winter break...I know the fur babies are happy..Momma's home and now we get all the attention..and yep I too make them lists as I do my cleaning house... sure does help..and by the way...Ava...check out the recipe section..ya know there is a beer bread recipe there..hummmm...LOL Can't wait to hear the news when your sister arrives...remember take pictures..

Ok, coffee pot has to get going cause I'm in need of a charge..oooooooooh I best not forget this one...

Oh by the way..did any of you know that Lemon and Lime trees have thorns...ask me how I know...mmmmmmm it was a site to see ..trust me... I did one of those numbers... I have longed to go pick these wonderful juicy looking Limes and Lemons..and not that far from me either..So I decided that I was gonna do some pickin..mmmmmmmm I even went up to the neighbor's house like a good person should do...and I asked .."Could I please pick a few.". got a reply.."Only a few".. well I wasn't gonna pick the whole tree !!!.... So I backed up my golf cart...and walked over to this big asp tree full of fruit..big lemons too.. I've never seen them this big...almost like grapefruit... I eyed out the best ones, from where I'm standing and reach in and grab on to it..and twist and turn and uh oh...something done grabbed my arm..and it ain't letting go..in fact I've now got the message to the brain...Instant Pain !!! there were thorns in my arm.. I couldn't move... I felt that warm trickle running down too...holy chit.. I'm stuck...along comes another neighbor in his golf cart yelling .."Hey Zeee, whatcha doing.?".. thank gawd ...cause I turn my head and yell...."Help me, I'm stuck"...morale to my story... I'll buy em from now on..

Now that I've re hashed my dilemma, it's time to turn on the pot of coffee...being I'm injured, I didn't make anything..but I have some cinnamon toast and oh I made cookies..another experience...new cookie sheets..don't even want to go there..but they are very close to biscotti..you got the picture..but waste not want not..they will be dunked and eaten..can't give them to the critters as they have raisins in them and choc chips too ..I had good intentions..but some how my day just wasn't what it should have been...Just another go with the flow and laugh later...

So, my dear Sista's the coffee pot is on and so it the kettle for tea...I always have something in the frig to drink..you name it we'll get it ..well almost..(Lemonade in thought only ) come sit around and let's hear what's happening in your neck of the woods... Table is set, chairs are empty..now let's fill em up..

Temp is not bad today, YET....+10F...but forecast to drop way below zero by tonight. That means I MUST get this wood fire cranked up NOW, before my bath.

Well Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

BRRRRRRR!! I freaking colder that chit out there!!! I'm tempted to go buy a warm coat for my thermometer or at least give it a blankie! Poor thing says it's +4 out on my little back porch. Got a breeze out there and then it gets to gusting. I don't want to think of what the wind chill factor is. Except for not having any snow? I would think I was back up north! Brrrrrrrr

All showered, dressed and refilled on the coffee cup. Wish I could just take the pot to work with me. Hmmm? I just might take my thermos into work today so that I can refill my travel mug. I hate the coffee out of the machine at work. Guurgh! Cardboard coffee. Yum Nasty little cardboard cup that they use taints the flavor.

Well Kelly is staying home again today. She coughing, hacking and gagging her head off again. I would guess that the last time she had this crap that the meds and what not didn't do the complete job. Good thing all the time off doesn't go onto just one check.

Ok I guess I had better get my butt in gear. I really need to go out and start up the Blazer and give it a little bit to warm up before I go flying up the highway. It's always good to get the oil warmed up and into the motor before flying!!

No goodies on my end either this morning. Opps!! I forgot, still got a few Christmas cookies left in the container. And I've had enough of them.

Morning, from chilly Texas!! Temp is 41F....which is cold for here.... and that wind makes it even chillier....

Love the train artwork, Barb, and Oh, Thank you so much for the extra one of the sleeping baby....it is really sweet.....still working on baby stuff to send north in January....3 babies within a month makes us Great-Aunts very busy....

All right, Barb's recap has me wanting to go read and get more details.

Sorry to hear of your injury! My daughter and I sprouted and grew a lemon, orange and grapefruit from seed one time...we did not know citrus has huge thorns! So, I know what you mean. With our little trees, which we grew inside, I kept the thorns cut off so the dog wouldn't get them in the eye.

Barb it takes me only a minute to "suit up"! I pull on my hoodie, step into the covies & only pull them up to my waist, then sit down to tie on my boots, pull up the covies, snap on my flappy hat, put on a coat if I need that too and lastly the gloves. In the photo I had on a ski mask too as the wind was wicked and I ditched the goggles -- they did fog up. I need regular ski goggles probably .

I woke at at 3 am with the wind rockin' the coach. I'm guessing we have gusts up to about 40-50 mph. It's really bad! The good news is our temp is above zero this AM -- 13. A big storm front is moving in from the west so...it's going be "all you can wear day" to stop the wind! Snow showers are supposed to start later today into tomorrow. Most of it will fall west and north of here. Most likely we'll just get wind and a dusting of snow.

I know many of you in other locations are really getting dumped on. Be safe.

We are having Christmas with my sister's family here noon Christmas Eve. They will need to get home before dark to do chores. My daughter's family will arrive here from Colorado on Saturday and stay until next Tuesday. So we are in for some busy family time!

My sister (who lives near by) called last evening. Her daugther-in-law was in labor and should have delivered last night. She's didn't call back so I suppose it was late so the news from Lincoln, NE should come today. This will be her 1st grandchild. My youngest sister (near Houston) has 4, and I have one. Deb's (the sister near here) daughter is due in March. So we'll have 2 little ones around soon.

Good morning all! See how lazy I get when off work? Normally at this time the kids would be just starting to come into the school cafeteria for breakfast. K-12 all together. Even though I work in high school I am on of the two monitors for the b'fast time. Get's me going and eyes open!

news from this side of the hill is that it is NOT snowing! Now that is surely amazing. So either today or tomorrow I'll scoot to Plattsburgh for groceries and last couple gifts. cause guess what? Wed. it will be another storm...

An' a top 'o th' mornin' to ya! We had our Christmas Party last night. It was great, complete with Mr and Mrs Claus and gift exchange. We sang carols, the best fun was The 12 days of Christmas. Each table had a line and we stoood up to sing our line and then sat down and the next table stood to sing their's. So we were bobbing up and down. A friend at our table insisted on joining the "Five Golden Rings" table because that's her favorite line. I had my camera all ready tuned to the right exposure and then when I got there realised I didn't have it with me. so I ran back to the rig and couldn't find it. I can only assume I left it in Beth's rig. So no pictures. When DH was with me I sent him out to get a Christmas CD. There were a lot of good artists that particular year. So what did he buy? The Muppets Sing Christmas. You haven't lived until you've heard Miss Piggy sing the line, Five Golden Rings.
Now as for Beth's date. Let me tell you, What happens in Port Aransas, stays in Port Aransas.

Yep, the party was fun - I enjoyed the singing - that's about the only way I'll sing - when with LOTS of other people so my voice doesn't really get heard (I hope).

Love the graphics, Zeee - both of them. That train has our name on it - how kewl.

Good morning ladies !
It's a bright day here -not sunny, but bright. I think it's about 45 degrees so that's not too bad.
Molly and I were able to go to the beach yesterday, and then I went up north a bit to see the sea lions that hang out just north of Sea Lion Caves. They just crack me up !!
I don't really have much on the agenda today - I need to go to the grocery store and hope to get to the beach. There was allot of wind last night so maybe there'll be more treasures

ahhhhhhh, good morning ladies,
what a cute little train Barbz and the little baby too is adorable. Your recap makes me
think I missed something, so gonna have to go looking. Sorry to say that I found out
about citrus tree thorns a few years ago just about the same way Barbz did, and it
was that same lemon tree in my pic from Thanksgiving post. Now I have it set in my
head that everything in Arizona has thorns,
Took me over an hour to boot up my computer this morning, how aggrevating, soon
as I logged on the computer did an update, then it rebooted itself, then it came on
and installed said updates and then rebooted AGAIN! grrrrr
Now I've gotten so much accomplished on my list and get it crossed off but then it
still keeps growing cause I think of other things. Wash exterior windows got added
yesterday. Also remembered I have to go out and take off the frame around my
license plate as that frame became against the law here and think it takes effect
January 1, not sure, but will do it anyway.
Discovered I have a waterleak under the kitchen sink, cleaned up all the water last
evening and thought I had it all under control but again this morning there is lots of
water in the carpet edge where gravity made it flow. Its coming from where the
little hose connects to the underside of the faucet so will have to dig out my "other"
toolbox and find my faucet wrench, hope I still have it, when my son was around stuff
tended to disappear to the pawn shop.
Its cold here too right now, although not as cold as most of you, right now its 55 but
thats cold enough for me, means long pants and a flannel shirt over my tshirt, if I
go outside.
I think thats about it for me, I'm finished with coffee and its time to get busy. Will
take a quick cruise through the forum first and then I'm off.

Barbzee, I have a big thorny lemon tree in my yard. I suit up in long sleeves and gloves to pick them, but I don't try to get the ones on top any more. There's a bunch up there this year that'll have to stay there. I also have two naval orange and one tangerine tree. They don't have thorns.

Yep, I'll be here...just let me know when and where you want to have lunch to plan the FL gtg.

It's chilly here today (50s), so I opted to work inside doing laundry and working on year-end cleaning out and organizing the file cabinets. That's a task.

Inquiring minds want to know, could you find out for us? Hey, Sparkle, please tell all I have really been nice all day, but the meanness has to come out sometime, somehow, doesn't it?

Hope everyone has had a great day, I have. The temp could have been a little higher, but the sun, which we haven't seen much of has been out, so I've enjoyed that. Rains coming again tomorrow, if the weatherman is right. Think Santa is going to get wet in this area, make all the snow he'll be wearing from the north into ice, hope he can still fly in his sled.
Poor guy, besides cookies maybe there ought to be something to warm him up set out. Everybody will have their own ideas on that.

As to MX - I wouldn't say their weather has been all good either - last Tuesday none of the street vendors were out cuz it was cold and windy there. I wasn't there that day - but on Thursday when I WAS there - if we had gotten there a couple hours earlier, they had the same fog and chill etc that we had driving all the way down. Luckily it ended - an hour later than the weatherman said, but gave us a good day there. Funny to go to MX and see all of them bundled up - they hate the cold - I mean, I hate the cold but they hate it even more, I think.
