The ribS were too salty. I used a dry rub for the first time and had WAY too much salt.
I overdressed the salad.
However, the Sweet Potato Salad was delish (as are most things made with homemade mayo).

I think I've lost a bit of cooking ability since my Georgie died on me...the guinea pig has left the house.

Have to tell ya'll, I may never leave! I've got power, a nice patio, a dump, water and someone to cook for me! Not to mention a gorgeous view from my front porch! The Samcat has been able to go out exploring which he can't do at the boy chicks house, so he's already been out for his morning stroll, come back in for breakfast and is getting ready for his morning nap...which will probably last until lunch. He does enjoy his naps like a true camper. Chewy and Abby were getting along famously yesterday ignoring each other and then something set one of them off (I'm guessing Chewy) and we had to break up an altercation. Abby and her mom were traumitized and I'm embarrassed as heck. Chewy will now be on a leash whenever the Abster is around.

Dinner was fabulous last nite! I loved the sweetpotato salad with homemade mayo. If fact Mitch said something about throwing the leftovers out or she would finish them off, so I rescued the salad, put it in my fridge and we can have it with the hamburgers tonite. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and so good! I can see a new wardrobe in a larger size in my future if I stay here very long. sigh. And, oh yeah, she finally was able to make an edible apple cake....not as good as mine, but edible.

No plans for today yet, but I'm sure we can find something to get into. You know us old widder women!

We know you two will be very selective on what you reveal of your escapades or are you sitting on the porch trying to concoct wild stories, thinking you can make us believe them. We might have to talk Mitch into a Blue Marlin style Ruckus for those of us unable to get to NY..send more pics!

I don't believe there is a story wild enough that I wouldn't believe about my friends Mitch and Sharon. And I do believe Sharon that the food is better than Mitch is saying. Now, had I cooked those ribs - well, would believe most anything.
